OOOH yes please to the pics of cranford covered in snow!

Just been to see DS#2 who has tonsillitis. He's got penicillin but it's yet to kick in so he's feeling very sorry himself. Funny to watch an 18 year old regress to being 5 when his mum turns up

BonzoDoodah · 12/06/2009 11:45

Wooo Hoo to Tee's news! Need more info and photos and .... stuff...

Ahhh Cranford - I used to live in Knutsford (where Elizabeth Gaskill lived and where she based Cranford) - I actually lived on Cranford Avenue! It's a gorgeous place.

Yuck to the sick Iris - I can't deal with it very well either and it's even harder as you're distressed about your poor baby at the same time.

Neddie I hope you're feeling okay. Maybe you should visit the Doc and get some meds to help you along with these hard times. It's not a failure to admit to it feeling low - it's a mix of your hormones and times and body chemistry - nothing you can affect.

Jw - not with you on the Greg wotsit - although I've never heard him interviewed. What gets me is when the other one - John (?) puts a fork in his mouth .... his big fat tongue sticks right out and puts me off my dinner ... eeeeewwwww.

Did I mention I'm on for a porker large baby? So sympathies for you ermintrude. My first was 9lb (but it was \ll head I'm sure). this one was estimated at 5lb with 8 weeks to go - so another big-un.

Feeling like crap today - woke up about 20 times in the night ....
turn over = move pillows then bump then rearrange pillow ... then move covers and get comfortable.
then need wee
then need to rearrange all pillows and bump again
then turn over
then wee
then jump out of bed with frigging agonising leg cramp
then a wee
turn over again
and again
then wake up at 6 frigging 30 and can't get back to sleep
FFS
(sorry) ZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I wonder if there'll be a Larkrise to Candleford Christmas special too?

mrsb - how's Mr D doing with his teeth today?

neddie - can you get a mate over to keep you company for the weekend - or can you visit someone?

jeanjeannie · 12/06/2009 12:18

Hair is cut...but short but hey ho!

Packing almost done...and then off!

Send tee my best wishes if she she stop by before I'm pack...Mon morn I suspect. Do hope she's snuggling wee Adam VERY soon xxx

I shall away to leave you all to talk about large babies / bonnet-wearing dramas and sleepless nights Think of me under canvas and don't go doing any rain dances. Oh and wish us luck with the errection as zero practise has taken place !!!!! BYEEEEEE!!

johnworf · 12/06/2009 12:47

Good luck JJ. Please come back with your OH and not split up over putting tent up

There'll def be a Larkrise to Candleford at xmas. It just wouldn't be xmas without wall to wall costume dramas.

duchesse · 12/06/2009 13:05

Aaaaargh! blinking blankety washing machine is on the blinking blink.

It appears to have boil-washed all the washing in the night, then refused to spin it. This morning a fault message was waiting for me. At the behest of the helpline lady, I set it going again, and went out to take DS to his biology for numpties GCSE exam. When I came back, it had done exactly the same again. I fear that my daughter's school jumper will be going to her younger sister... Plus everything that wasn't very dark already is now slightly darker than it was before.

Engineer coming on Monday morning...

mrsboogie · 12/06/2009 14:19

ooh yes Larkrise to Candleford - that'll do me. Have never watched Cranford. Sunday night hug tv we call it.

iris D is much better thanks - a new toothy has appeared on the top - that's six now. He was delivered smiling unto his grandma this morning as if the trials and tribulations of the previous 24 hrs had never happened.

have a good one jj

johnworf · 12/06/2009 15:20

Oh, the baby annabell twins arrived this morning; one with 2 teeth appearing through a sinister fixed smile

Glad that D is back to his usual chirpy self. They make you look like a liar don't they when they are all smiles and you've told people they've been a nightmare.

No plans for the weekend. DSS is off to his mother's tonight. We'll probably still end up doing the usual household chores and that'll be it.

DS#2 has agreed to babysit on my b'day so looks like we're off out. I'd very much like to go into Manchester to a nice restaurant however, takes too long to get back if K wakes and DS#2 doesn't know what to do........so, I've said we'd go to the local curry house. Sigh. Not ideal but it is a night out (2 hours) I guess and only 5 minutes away in the car. I really can't complain as we haven't been out in months.

Just found out that ExDH is taking Ex best friend (now his wife) to Paris for her b/day week before mine. Never took me anywhere nice...anyway, have told DH and am hoping that it'll prompt him into putting some thought into this years effort. It's usually no card and anything he can find in Tesco's at the last minute. Unwrapped and still in plastic carrier bag.

ermintrude13 · 12/06/2009 15:43

Hope K takes to weirdo baby annabells JW. Got an email from my sister today saying that since seeing my bump at the weekend my 4 yr old niece has been bombarding her with questions about babies so they've recently had a full and frank discussion. A neighbour was round for coffee this morning, and niece shows her baby annabell and says, "This baby came out of my middle hole that's called a begina." Then she put baby in pushchair and took the bottle out of the changing back before wheeling off, saying, "I don't need that bottle, my baby has milk from my boobies."

Re: birthdays, I suppose you just have to think which is better, being whisked off somewhere glam by someone you don't like v much or being given a crap gift by your beloved. I guess the answer can change according to mood...

Bonzo that night sounds like mine! It's the turning that gets me; I need the kind of sling with which they lifted the cow into the Raptors' cage in Jurassic Park.

duchesse Hope you don't have to spend hours in a 'laundrette; getting all warm and dizzy. I hate being without a washing machine

mrsb glad that baby D is back to his smiley self

johnworf · 12/06/2009 16:11

lol ermintrude at your niece Bet the neighbour felt reliably informed!

Re b'days......it's Hobsons choice, Just wish DH would make small effort.

duchesse · 12/06/2009 16:24

Am now pretty certain that this baby turned from being persistently breech in the night. Am getting all sorts of kicks in unfamiliar places (at least it's stopped kicking me in the bladder and kidneys!) and it's taking a little getting used to...

Tabitha8 · 12/06/2009 17:59

Congrats to Tee and co. Another boy. We are pumping them out at quite a rate of knots.
No one told me that cs babies often end up in SCBU. A bit scary, that. Probably best I didn't know.
What's Flickr?

johnworf · 12/06/2009 18:46

tab it's a photo sharing website. The pics of the baby and tee are on there. Are you on Facebook? If you are and you're linked to tee's DH, there's a link he's posted to take you there.

Are you also expecting to have a CS?

duchesse a bit more comfortable now?

Tabitha8 · 12/06/2009 19:02

JW I popped on 1st June - by cs. Baby Benjamin is getting bigger by the day.
As for Facebook? No, I've never even looked at it. Only recently got to grips with YouTube. Technophobe Tabitha .

mrsboogie · 12/06/2009 19:51

we get no babies for ages then they all come at once poor jw can't keep up!!

got any pics of Benjamin yet tab?

hedgepig · 12/06/2009 20:15

YouTube is pretty flash Tab. I'm on facebook but spend most of my time on it with a puzzled look on my face trying to fathom out what is going on

We have some quiet at last pheww, B had a friend over of tea so I have had 2 rather tired and very very silly 5 yr old boys screaming around the house. Poor O looked most perplexed!

MrsB that is loads of teeth D has, O still doesn't have any.

Tee well done even though you can't read this.

johnworf · 13/06/2009 08:32

Morning all! Feeling much more on form today. I went to bed at 8.30pm in a right old mood due to lack of sleep. Left DH to sort out the downstairs things and off I went. Cor, I was really knackered.

Sorry tabitha of course you had baby B at the beginning of June! I remember it well Please excuse my forgetfulness but as I said, brain wasn't firing on all cylinders

We've got cloudy and grey today but were promised something of the warm and sunny kind. Maybe it's just teasing and will appear soon Would like to take flossy out today for a little perambulation, weather permitting. There's a free Blur CD with tomorrow's Sunday Times but everytime they give something decent away, it's always sold out by the time I get there so I'm going to reserve a copy today

Can't stand this 'SuBo' name they've given the poor woman from britains got (no) talent. As if she hasn't enough to contend with.

I see Delia has been named in the honours lsit. Rightly so.

I saw pics of Katona y'day and she's def piling the weight back on...she looks pregnant!

Wonder how tee is today? Any more news of how Adam is? Out of SCBU and back with mum? I expect he is. These things soon pass and get sorted out

goes off to check FB

johnworf · 13/06/2009 09:32

Back with info: more pics of tee's LO on FB

Luvverly!

ermintrude13 · 13/06/2009 10:20

Morning all

Nice and sunny here JW, hopefully it will move oop north shortly.

Someone on June thread has copied msg from Mr Tee's FB page:

"All is well with Tee, no issues. Diabetes is under control and she is able to walk ok. In order to get Adam back home three things need be to ok, 1) his breathing 2) blood sugar level and 3) feeding. He has an IV in his belly button and no food, only glucose via IV. Hopefully it will only take 3-5 days for his breathing to be fine. "

duchesse · 13/06/2009 10:26

Waaaargh! I wanna see Tee's baby too!

mrsboogie · 13/06/2009 11:35

morning all

I wonder would it be ok to link to Mr Tee's flickr so others can see baby Adam?

johnworf · 13/06/2009 11:40

Yes ermintrude I saw that on FB too. Not surprising that he has a few problems as some, not all, diabetic babies do. I was forewarned when I was pregnant that these things can happen. His blood sugar levels are probably low after being born. Surprised they're not feeding him but again, that might be due to unstable blood sugar levels. Can only think they're giving it to him through the feeding tube. Hope tee is managing to express (I think she said she was going to try BF).

No idea mrsb. I doubt tee would mind if you did.

johnworf · 13/06/2009 11:43

Anyway ermintrude isn't it about time you sprogged? Hope you're bonking your DH like there's no tomorrow! Think you'll def have a girl now. All these boys of late, you'll balance it out.

My new Boden necklace came today. Oh joy! I've been on the waiting list for it for 6 weeks and it's still sold out on the website. Not surprised as it's gorg

JJ managed to get her tent up with a bit of swearing thrown in for good measure. Verity has the runs so tent stinks. At least it's nice and sunny for them.

mrsboogie · 13/06/2009 11:51

Oh Lord the runs in a tent I know jj will take it in her stride but I would be on my way back home!

I am sure tee wouldn't mind but they are semi private now and putting them on here makes them public doesn't it? eeek.

yes ermintrude we now turn our sights to you. nothin' doin'?

johnworf · 13/06/2009 13:53

Aye mrsb. The ladies on here that haven't seen baby Adam will just have to open a Facebook account or look at them via someone elses!

Oh JJ is dealing with it as though it's nothing. I know I wouldn't be coping well with squits in a tent

Gonna go and catch some sunshine before it all goes Pete Tong and starts raining..........
