mr tee his has updated his FB - it is a boy!

jeanjeannie · 11/06/2009 21:47

I think I said it'd be a boy - but damm, I didn't place a bet

neddie I reckon you've just had one heck of an emotional rollercoaster...add that to the cocktail of hormones you've got going round and I think you're doing darn well, especially without DP with you permanantly Laugh or cry...? MMmmm, rubs chin Me thinks laugh - or at least smile - cos, you know it's all going to get a whole lot better

jeanjeannie · 11/06/2009 21:48

Yes, but did they call him Adam?....more news needed....more, more!!!

iris66 · 11/06/2009 21:53

thanks mrsb - I'm so chuffed for them, firstborns are so special aren't they .... and on that note, I'll off to bed.
Night all

mrsboogie · 11/06/2009 22:03

Adam Jacob

mrsboogie · 11/06/2009 22:05

only other news is that Mr TEE is having pot noodles out of a measuring jug for his tea.

..and tee has been away how long?

ermintrude13 · 11/06/2009 22:11

Just came on to report on Tee but only have the same news as JJ. I expect we'll get more details anon, but it's nice to know the news before bedtime.

I feel quite left out, having only had the one DH. We got together at 23 and married at 27 and it's not been without its ups and downs but I'm a very lucky wifey and v happy we've decided to breed once more

Wish this LO would come out though - feels like it's burrowing down in an attempt to escape without bothering with the contractions bit. Fat chance.

night night all x

johnworf · 11/06/2009 22:16

OOOOOOh great news about tee! Glad they're doing good.

Day 1 and he's already on the pot noodles?

mrsboogie · 11/06/2009 22:21

ermintrude at least you have had 1! I have had none

hope he/she exits (whether by burrowing or more traditional methods) soon!

that's three boys now - time for a girl methinks!

johnworf · 11/06/2009 22:25

Yeah mrsb get ya skates on for a girl

Oh I'm so excited - a new baby AND a new xmas special of Cranford!!!! Life doesn't get much better. Now I'll be marking off the days until December with a big red marker pen.

Just read the FB and see that baby is in SCBU with his breathing. That's a side effect of CS isn't it JJ? He'll probably be out pretty quick after he's settled down.

mrsboogie · 11/06/2009 22:38

ah had just spotted that - yes it will be the c/s won't it? Be right as rain in a day or so.

mrsboogie · 11/06/2009 23:59

Oh oh oh mr tee has put pics of baby Adam on Flickr - he is gorgeous - all big and plump! you can view it as a slideshow.

Haven't linked - don't know if I should but he has posted the link on his FB page.

mrsboogie · 12/06/2009 00:00

tee looks very chuffed with herself too

johnworf · 12/06/2009 06:08

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. Just seen tee's pics of the LO. He's had some CPAP, O2 and had a feeding tube put in. Bless. I'm sure he'll be back with his mummy in no time tees done good. He looks a right little porker! Glad they found her a place what with all those other babies in there - are they sextuplets or something?

5.30am start here. Madam now retired to her bedchamber for nap #2.

Can't believe Ronaldo is going. I've only just bought DSS a Utd top with his bloody name on the back! Cost me £40 as well. I insist he stays - at least until DSS grows out of the shirt!

Just read this and was thrilled that it's official, my body is actually desireable to the average Joe (in theory, anyway). Then the guy at the end goes and spoils it all by saying that most men would go for the barbie doll image I don't think men are fussy one way or the other.....they'll put it in anything as far as I can see.

Not sure I'm getting the new Beckham pics. Look very gay to me.......

jeanjeannie · 12/06/2009 08:06

Morning all. Oh Adam Jacob - fab name

Yes, SCBU after a cs is quite common - he'll be fine I'm sure. The tube will be just so he doesn't lose too much body % weight while he's not with mum.

jw you've pencilled in Cranford for Xmas ...already!!?? Ah, I see that place most days as I drive through West Wycombe....I'll send my regards! Oooo, you should come over and visit - and we can wear bonnets and go for a row in the lake

HATE those Armani shots of Becks...SO, SO gay....and that hair Reminds me of Robbie Williams (is he 'out' yet?) in that black and white Take That video on the beach from years back! And as that pic of her....she looks like a right old skanky ho!

Right - off for hair cut and do some packing.

iris66 · 12/06/2009 08:40

morning all

Well, what an exciting end to the evening eh! and such lovely pics of them all

I didn't know that babies born by CS often end up in SCBU - is it because they're not squashed?

Got up this morning to the delights of a cot pebble dashed in vomit DS2 hadn't made any fuss either! (neither of us heard him anyway and we're both pretty light sleepers ) Poor lad was plastered and, jeez, the smell nearly made me hurl too. All in the wash now though and DS2 seems happy enough after eating a big breakfast. I think it was all the snot that made him ill as he was equally encrusted in green hopefully that's the end [fingerscrossed emoticon]!

Don't reckon the revelation about men's preferences will change the "ideal" that the media portray unfortunately, but it's nice to see it in print isn't it? (I don't think men really like the barbie look - just fancy the trophy aspect on their arm. But maybe I'm just deluding myself )

ermintrude13 · 12/06/2009 08:42

Aw, hope Tee can hold wee Adam again soon. Will have to wait to see him - but I wish folk wouldn't go on about 8lb 10oz being a porker. DS was 9lb 7oz and I'm worried this one will be bigger. He was long and slim though with a normal size head... we changed our boy name front runner last night so are bound to have a girl, mrsb (good: DD was 7lb 8oz).

I rather like the Beckham shots, although not the oiled hair. They're for a fashion house so of course they're gay . Body as art rather than phwooar though. He is a thing of beauty, with his mouth shut.

JW boo to Ronaldo for wasting your cash. Write to him for a refund; he can afford it.

JJ lovely pic of you in that link! Enjoy haircut - and look, the sun has come out for you!

johnworf · 12/06/2009 08:54

ermintrue 8lb 10oz is a respectable weight although not a whale as promised! Yours will be huge though. I can feel it in my waters....

iris poor little boy vomming in his sleep Mind you, doesn't seem as though he's bothered by it if he slept on.

I think CS babies do sometimes have breathing problems as they've not been squashed down the birth canal - in particular their lungs - so they sometimes need a bit of help.

Hope tee is getting the hang of expressing for LO (oh, seems such a long time I was doing that).

I mentioned Cranford JJ as it showed an article on y'days DM where they'd sprayed the village with fake snow (showed judy dench and imedla staunton walking down the main street). And yes, I am very sad but I shall be really looking foward to it (even in June).

JJ I've checked with the Beeb weatherman and it's going to be nice, maybe a tad cloudy, for your weekend under canvas. Make sure you take warm things though as the evenings do get chilly and I do remember wearing a bobble hat in bed on one trip. Trips to the loo first thing in the morning will need shoes that can cope with morning dew I've used a bucket in the past for DSS for night time wees though.

iris66 · 12/06/2009 08:56

sorry if you were offended ermintrude I meant that 8lb 10 seemed (to me) to be a whopper for a first It depends on the heights of the parents though doesn't it . I'm only just 5'3" mine have been (apparently large )between 8lb 1- 8lb 5 so far.

ermintrude13 · 12/06/2009 09:34

iris no offence taken, just expressing my naked fear that this one will be, as JW so kindly predicts, absolutely enooooormous. . It's the size of the mother's pelvis which seems to dictate baby size, and clearly mine - not to mention my, ahem, 'birth canal' - must be a bit of an airport hangar, cos I'm only 5'4" but plopped out DS without a stitch required.

yuk to the sicky cot. Oh what joys are to come.

Am off to see a friend for coffee later - deliberately accepted her invitation to go to her because it's up a steep hill and I'm on a mission to efface my cervix

ooh yes camping JJ even in sunshine the grass can get muddy so you always need wellies, and more layers than you can imagine for sitting outsie boozing at night - fleeces and blankets to wrap around coats are good. It's such a lovely day I'm quite jealous, esp cos you're going to lovely Dorset. Have a super time.

(And the bucket for the DC to wee in at night was definitely more useful for me than for them )

Neddie · 12/06/2009 10:15

JW I live near the village where they are shooting Cranford, should I go and take some illicit piccies for you?

iris yuk, poor you - I can't handle vomit! Used to get DP to do that... not sure what I'll do with 2 vomiting in tandem [ sick looking emoticon]

iris66 · 12/06/2009 10:29

neddie - I'm usually pretty good at holding my breath when clearing up sick but forgot this morning - I don't think it's too bad until they start eating proper food though - the infrequency takes you by surprise!

How are you feeling today by the way? - I meant to post something yesterday when you mentioned antenatal depression but was a bit overexcited about Tee's baby .

You're not on your own all day as well are you? Hormones can be so powerful with one let alone two (I was like Freddie Kruger on acid with DS1 and sooooooo miserable) I wish I'd spoken to someone about it as I didn't realise that you can actually have certain anti d's whilst pg.

Neddie · 12/06/2009 10:53

I'm on my own today till 3.00pm when vet is coming to scan non-reproductive mare. Then back home on my own as dd2 is with daddy this weekend. Police just rang to say that the number plate I gave them was invalid for thieving girl's van- maybe she was sold a stolen van......I am going slightly crazy here?
Thank you for your concern... i am usually a cry myself silly person and then just get on with it but I seem to have one trauma after another at the mo. Least babies are ok and kicking me constantly.

duchesse · 12/06/2009 11:01

ermintrude- you're certainly not alone in the one husband thing! We've been together since 20, married since 25, and my 3 older children are all from the same stable! If our plans had gone according to, er, plan, there'd have been a 6 year gap between numbers 3 and 4 rather than 12. Hey ho though, just so glad to be able to breed again after all the trials and tribulations that we're not looking a gift baby in the mouth.

duchesse · 12/06/2009 11:03

Oh and my first was 8lbs 12 oz. I was 8 stone 9 ten days after he was born, mainly due to not having been able to eat an entire meal for the previous 3 months- no space. The girls were a more respectable 7 and a half pounds apiece.
