Has anyone had their health in pregnancy grant paid yet?

Just looked at the site and it says we'll get payments in April directly into bank. Has anyone had theirs yet?
Not sure about mine, I'll check bank tomorrow.

I was told it was for every pg woman who saw a mw. Based on the website the only way you may not get it is if you are subject to immigration control or are not present in the UK...

I only got my form last week at my 34 week check. I have been asking since the second trimester. The mw didn't have any forms till last week! I also phoned the helpline to send me a form. Apparently they couldn't send me one directly and told me to get one from my midwife. I explained she didn't have any so then they phoned me back about two weeks later to say they had sent her some. Last week she said she hadn't got them - the ones she had had been sent to the hospital!

What a mess.

It's ridiculous. They shouldn't start something like this until they're totally organised. Why ask women to start sending in forms if they don't even have an up and running system to log applications. Eejits.

Oh. I sent mine off about 3 weeks ago. Hadn't realised there was kerfuffle attached.

Things like this get on my tits a bit anyway.

Although some extra money is nice I don't need it. Same as the tax credits.

I really would prefer they arranged it so that rather than doing these across the board things they targetted the money where it will really make a difference, to the mothers and to the children, and maybe lift children out of "bad starts" in life. That would benefit society much more as a whole.

Having said that, no-one turns down free cash, so they! Maybe I should put their money where my mouth is...

Anyways, I'm not going to worry, as it looks at this rate like I won't be getting it anyway!

Hi 'm probably bing really thick but I've been trying to help my sister work out this whole tax thing. I know about the pregnancy grant, and working tax credit but is family tax credit a different thing?

I think they are different - there are tax credits and working tax credits and child tax credits. I think.

Can your sister ring the helpline?

Yipppeeeee Just checked my bank and ive got my £190 girls my baby due may 8th was told would get paid it till may but looks like im the lucky one for a change hold on in there i sent my form off in 1st week in march

i sent my form off maybe 3 weeks ago ...... called the helpline thismorning unfortunetly they dont have a system up and running 2 tell u if ur form has actually reached them but..........

there are payments being made out!! only 4 forms that were received in january at the moment......4 feb an march forms payments will b received b4 the 1st week in may apparently

Iv just rang them and they said only a few sysytems are live at the moment! So she couldnt tell me when i should expect it as she didnt have access to a comp.She said more than likely after iv had baby (due 8th May)They must just be sat there having a cuppa n a chat!

Just checked bank, my money went in yesterday. I'm due today [bgrin]
Sent in form in Jan.
Mine went straight into bank, no letter first.
