Ladylush - DH & I are the same heights as you and your DH (how odd, lol) and our Bee works perfectly for us.

(hope you're doing ok, buggy talk must mean you are bump are good! )

Effielou · 08/05/2009 17:19

oopsacoconut I ordered the maxicosi and it arrived and I love it its heavy but I won't be lifting it, as I don't drive! My DS has worked out how to climb in the carrycot so it is now being used to store bits and bobs-- roll on LO birth and I can use it!!!
I can't see how it fell apart-- I put it together and tugged and pulled at it and nothings come off!! But I'll keep an eye out for problems xxx

ladylush · 08/05/2009 21:36

Scorpio - uncanny Hope all going well with you.

Madmissy - Thanks . Will explore.

ladylush · 08/05/2009 21:52

That bugaboo video is so annoying. Male models prancing around a buggy. Just show me the buggy ffs

Erm....how do I know whether a bee has thin wings or not? No mention of wings in any of the sites I've looked at.

BBisfinallyPG · 09/05/2009 10:07

im going with the bebe loola windoo, cos im so tall (apparently in the world of buggies freakishly so) it fells comfortable to push, and i dont find it heavy or awkward to manouvre

BBisfinallyPG · 09/05/2009 10:09

should also say i felt i didnt have great choices, as i wanted a set that does lay flat, but also parent AND away facing pushchair which was a bit dissappointing really.

ladylush · 09/05/2009 10:51

BB - doesn't the bee face parent and away? Just wondering as I am trying to get to grips with the huge array of pushchairs to choose from.

ladylush · 09/05/2009 10:52

All this talk of wings is making me think of sanitary towels............which thankfully I don't need right now

ScorpiowithabigS · 09/05/2009 10:52

Bee in and out facing yes

ladylush · 09/05/2009 11:42

Scorpio - have you got the newer model? People say the older one has a small seat. No good for us if this lo is anything like our giant of a ds He's very tall and has been since a baby.

I have the mutsy urban rider from my first child and love it, although it can be a bit big for walking round shops, am currently daydreaming about getting a compact one for keeping in my car, like the micralite or bugaboo

madmissy · 09/05/2009 17:03

there have been a few bees that the wings are slowly getting thinner, some girls in oz have the newest ones with very thin wings and the support bit to back of hood to hold it higher.

there is def a difference and i wld definately not get a thick wing bee for sure if you see a bee go cheap on ebay if you look at the wings they will be padded

londonlottie get the stokke

ladylush · 09/05/2009 18:09

londonlottie - I need to see the bee in the flesh I think. Dh really didn't like the stokke when I showed him a pic. I don't want a bulky buggy or a 3 wheeler - plus dh and I are very tall so options a bit limited. I think in your shoes I would get whatever pushchair you fancy..........you sure do deserve it

Hmmm, this is driving me nuts. Dh prefers the Bugaboo Cam. Madmissy - what are your thoughts on this? I know you have to take the carrycot off to get it in the car. That won't be a problem really.

Ll - I have a cam too lol and prefer my bee so much so I'm selling my cam before dc4 comes. We have a big boot and it just takes it up and I can't fit it on a bus. It is good for town walking woods etc but I heart my bee!

naomi83 · 10/05/2009 08:41

lady lush, have you seen the britax vigour 3 or 4? wheels like a bug or 3 wheeler, parent and forward facing, takes car seat, etc, but 1/3 of price of bugaboo

risingstar · 10/05/2009 09:00

Quick crash

My DD is 18 mths and I went for the Inglesina Outtoto. It is fab, and she loves it. Funnily enough my main reason was becasue the Silver Cross was only rear facing for the first 4 mth( if I remember rightly) and the Inglesina can be reversed to face mum at any age/stage. Of course, at 4 months, DD was crying, turned pram round, happy baby never used the rear facing thing again!

It is however good quality and you will never feel like one of the crowd, if this is important to you

nappyaddict · 10/05/2009 10:13

Is the hood on the newer bees higher at all?
