Thanks for all the welcomes...its good to know there are ppl that i can talk to who do understand!

All pain seems to have gone at the moment..just the odd twinge here and there. Other than that i think i mite be feelin the odd flutter now and then..but i cant be too sure, having never felt it before, kind of feels like a belly rumble to me??

Just want friday to hurry up and be here for my scan...that'll just make me feel better anyway.

Wheelybug · 15/03/2009 20:16

Aw gilly - sorry you're the last of the MC avengers but that must surely mean you're next ?! I so hope the treatment works and isn't too hard on you. I'll keep my eye out for you.

Crunch - oh I am so sorry. It sounds so easy to say but try and focus on your children current and future and I so hope (D)H might see the error of his ways.

Natty - hope the fluid is nothing to worry about.

Itsallnew - welcome !

SparklyPseudonym · 15/03/2009 20:22

Hi ladies,
Have been lurking but no time to catch up right now.
Am 7+1 today - had some brown spotting last Weds which stopped as quickly as it started. Scan on Friday so will just have to wait and see.
Wheely What beautiful photos and such a fantastic name (My DD is a Lara F too!)..Huge congratulations.

Good luck to all those in early pregnany and with scans coming up.

scarlotti · 15/03/2009 20:58

wheely she's gorgeous! Hope you're settling in nicely at home now and finding your feet as mum of 2!

crunch more hugs to you. It will get easier over time but do try and stay as positive as you can.

waves hello at everyone else

Am heading off to bed fairly soon as we have an early start tomorrow to be at the hospital for an 8:15 scan - have to fit the nursery run in first so it's not going to be a calm morning

Tamlin · 15/03/2009 21:09

Low-down cramping. I'm trying not to panic and reciting 'Ligament pains! Ligament pains!' to myself.

I keep trying to tell myself that I have a three-in-four chance of keeping this one, but somehow, falling on the wrong side of the odds just once means that I'm not hugely optimistic about it anymore.

scarlotti · 15/03/2009 21:16

Tamlin is it just pains you have? How far along are you? Try to stay positive

Tamlin · 16/03/2009 07:10

Six and a half weeks. This is the point where the foetus died last time, so yes, I'm probably driving myself crazy.

SparklyPseudonym · 16/03/2009 08:06

Scarlotti Am thinking of you this morning. Hope they don't keep you waiting too long.
Tamlin Don't panic about the pain. It's likely to be stretching etc. I know what you mean about faling on the wrong side of the odds. I feel exactly the same.

YouKnowNothingoftheCrunch · 16/03/2009 08:22

Tamlin I hope the pains calm down for you - very common and normal, although that doesn't help with the panic. It's horrible not knowing what's going on in there, but we're all here if you need us.

Scarlotti you must be in your scan right now. I have all my fingers and toes crossed for you to be getting good news. I want to say more after all the support you have given me. It doesn't seem enough. Thinking of you xxx

Sparkly so good to see you here. Thank you for your help on my other thread, I'm feeling much calmer and more together today. Good luck for Friday, I will be crossing everything for you.

TheNAtty hello glad to see you're still with us.

itsallnewtome fluttering sounds like baby movements to me

lal123 · 16/03/2009 09:37

Scarlotti - fingers crossed for the scan todayxx

I'm just trying to get through today - scan tomorrow. Its been the longest 3 weeks of my life!

Finally told someone other than dp - had to tell my boss in case things don't go ok tomorrow. She's delighted - she'd already guessed, as apparently I was looking like death warmed up last week - great!

Anyway - full day of meetings ahead, so hopefully have good news tomorrow.

LittlePolly · 16/03/2009 10:05

Just wanted to say congratulations Wheely ? Lara is absolutely gorgeous.

And I wanted to send a hug to Crunch ? sorry things are so tough for you right now, but it sounds like you are doing the right thing for you and DCs.

Scarlotti hoping for good news for you with your scan today.

Had my ERPC Thursday morning and all went well. They are actually running some tests this time to see if they can find out what caused the mc ? I had an infection which would have coincided with the time the baby died, so perhaps we'll actually get some answers. Anyway, I'm feeling optimistic about trying again and getting back here asap.

scarlotti · 16/03/2009 10:30

Morning ladies

Great news at my scan - they found the little bean and a heartbeat No sign of any problems which could have resulted in spotting so all seems well.
Spoke to the doctor afterwards to ask if this now reduced the odds a lot and he was very non-committal. I know they have to be careful in what they say but I'm sure a bit of positivity wouldn't kill them
Still, today is a good day.
I've been told that my EPU doesn't do reassurance scans so I've now to wait another 6 weeks for the dating scan. Apparently if I get really worried I can call and they'll discuss it with me Is it any wonder some people magnify situations in order to get seen.

littlepolly am glad your erpc went well and you now feel you can move on. This little bean was month 2 after our erpc, with month 1 deliberately missed so as to get back on track. Am sure we'll be seeing you again soon.

Tamlin hope you're feeling ok today. thinking of you.

Thanks to everyone else for their kind thoughts and support, it's a big help

SparklyPseudonym · 16/03/2009 10:47

Scarlotti Excellent news. How many weeks are you now? It's dreadful that are always so negative!!
LittlePolly Glad to hear the ERPC went ok and that they are investigating. I hope the weeks go quickly for you and that we'll see you again very soon. Look after yourself.
lal Good luck for tomorrow. Hope you get good news.
Crunch Thinking of you today. Am glad you're feeling better.

YouKnowNothingoftheCrunch · 16/03/2009 11:06

Scarlotti so pleased you have had good news. Sorry doc wasn't more positive, any good scan shows countless development hurdles already passed (I know they don't want to give false hope, but it's hard not to get reassurance when you ask for it).

lal hope your scan tomorrow is more good news.

Polly sending a hug right back to you. I'm really glad they're going to do some investigations for you. I hope you get some answers and we see you back here soon.

YouKnowNothingoftheCrunch · 16/03/2009 11:10

Sparkly thanks. Just need to keep my positive head on for a bit

bunnyinheadlights · 16/03/2009 11:50

wheely massive congratulations!! lara is a lovely name and she is just gorgeous it's great to have 2 girls isnt it? i bet your dd1 is chuffed to have a little sister to dress up! well done - i agree that elective c sections are so much calmer. i had ella fitzgerald swinging in the background and half the theatre (not surgeons thankfully) were waltzing around, humming along and joking. it was wonderful!

i did have a big hiccup in the second week though which explains my absence here - i started to run a fever on day 7 after birth and it got worse and worse. after seeeing 4 GPs and 3 midwives over 3 days (none of whom seemed to be too concerned) - we made a decision to go back to hospital. which is just as well - they re-admitted me right away. my fever was high, my belly was swollen and very sore and i was passing huge clots (sorry tmi). the reason i am sharing this is in case it happens to anyone else, please dont wait and go to hospital right away. i was on a drip right away and they pumped me full of drugs. i had an infection of the uterus which is pretty rare, but does happen. and it does have a mortality rate so really lucky we didnt leave it too long - as it is we left it 3 days and i Know i was deteriorating really fast towards the end i couldnt leave our bed, or eat etc! anyway, i dont want to scare anyone, and i am totally fine now that i have been discharged and back home for a week. i managed to keep carys with me at hosp so i could BF, but it was a real scare!!

littlepolly sorry to hear your news and erpc. please post here to get the support you need. and give yourself time to grieve as well.

hello to everyone else i have missed i have only scanned the last page or so...

ashleighbeee · 16/03/2009 14:23

Scarlotti CONGRATS on your gorgeous scan!!

Wheely... CONGRATS on your gorgeous baby Lara.. such a lovely name! I hope she is settling in well...

Crunch sorry to hear that things are still pants, are you going to head back to another relate session? The last one didnt sound too great?

Hi to everyone else, sorry this is a rubbish short post.. just wanted to let you all know that we're expecting a lovely little boy!! He was all in position to show us his bits.. think i'd have offended him if i'd changed my mind.. he was on all fours with his legs slightly open, the lady scanning us said it was a good job we wanted to know as there wasnt much of a chance she could've hidden him... he was gorgeous.. SO beautiful.. I cant wait to see him again.. that was our 6th scan at 16 weeks and 4 days... I am an obsessed woman!! xx

YouKnowNothingoftheCrunch · 16/03/2009 14:33

bunny sorry to hear you've had such a tough time, am shocked your GPs and MW were so blasee about the whole thing!

ashleigh congratulations on your scan! Boys are great! I have another relate session booked for Thursday and if it's anything like the last one it will be our last. I can't keep getting caught up in all his mindgames, it's not fair on the dcs and this little one. I've decided to take along a couple of the letters he has written to me, in which he admits everything he has done, so if he tries to blame everything on me again I can show him his own words stating the opposite.

ashleighbeee · 16/03/2009 15:00

Thats a good idea - then at least you wont be put in the position like last time when he was starting to win the counsellor round to his way of thinking etc, also maybe it'll make him realise more if he hears the letters back... I hope that it goes well for all of your little family, but dont feel pressured into going back if you dont feel comfortable after this one...

Bunny - shocked about your story.. I dont know how i missed it - think i might have been flicking back to the previous page when i read it! I am pleased you're okay now! What an awful period... I am pleased you and Carys are back home again..

xx

scarlotti · 16/03/2009 15:58

ashleighbee congrats on seeing your son!! Can echo Crunch in that boys are great - as are girls!!

bunny hope you're ok and on the mend now. must have been awful for you.

crunch I think taking the letters is a great idea. btw, spotted from your profile you're a welsh girl away from home - same here

LackaDAISYcal · 16/03/2009 20:30

oooh, congratulations Wheely. Missed your fb link though , but I'm sure she is gorgeous. I found BFoing so much easier second time round as well; I think you are more relaxed about it or more prepared to be proactive if it isn't going as wwell as it might.

bunny, congratulations to you too, but sorry to hear about your infection; sounds horrific. I hope you are on the mend now and enjoying your new arrival.

YouKnowNothingoftheCrunch · 17/03/2009 08:49

scarlotti I knew there was a reason I liked you.

lal thinking of you today, hope you get some good news, got my fingers crossed x

Tamlin · 17/03/2009 09:21

Scarlotti, how far gone are you..? I've read that if they get a heartbeat at eight weeks, your chances of miscarrying go down to only 2%.

Polly, I got through quite a few bottles of wine and bars of chocolate in the days post erpc, and it did help - especially with the first period, which was quite grim.

Ashleigh, I have a boy and he is LOVELY. Wouldn't mind another in the slightest.

scarlotti · 17/03/2009 09:40

lal fingers crossed for you today with your scan

Tamlin I'm 6+4 so was surprised to be honest that they even found a heartbeat. I'd read once they see one the chances drop to about 2% but I didn't know whether dates played a part in that too. That was what I was trying to get the doctor to agree to, but he was playing it safe and not agreeing to anything

crunch Hope you're feeling bright today. How's the spd? Hope you're coping ok with that on top of everything else. Will be thinking of you Thurs eve.

Hope everyone else is doing well today
