saz and mumface- glad scans went well and lola - glad the MW was able to ease your worries.

Good luck for all the scans coming up - and scarlotti - hope the doctor agrees to an early scan.

Crunch - what a great positive attitude you have. I so hope it all sorts itself out and soon.

Scotlass - enjoy your weekend and your evening in that lovely dress !

Nothing exciting to report here - had 2nd reflexology session today, hasn't done anything yet ! Generally have lots of energy and feeling quite positive. Can't believe my due date is in just over a week . Will be so pleased to get to friday as then I know if my BP does anything silly they'll just section me (in the nicest possible way) rather than admit me until 39 weeks !

Waves at everyone else....

Hi, lovely to see so much good news, well done everyone.

I have my scan tomorrow - 12weeks2days. I am absolutely terrified that I'll get there and the baby will have died weeks ago. I just can't get the image out of my head. I guess all I can do is hang in there, and by tomorrow lunch time I will know either way. I'll be back to let you know and hopefully we'll see my much loved and wanted little bubba. Fingers crossed.

YouKnowNothingoftheCrunch · 05/03/2009 08:32

hangingbelly good luck for today. I know that fear exactly, it's so scary. Even when I saw everything was ok no one could understand why I wasn't jumping with joy - I'd got myself so convinced it was going to be bad news that I just couldn't take it in.

Scotlass ds1 was on time, ds2 was 10 days late So I'm pretty much expecting Aquababe, Ladyhelen2 and Loubylou to all have theirs first. But the race will be on and I will be eating curry and pineapple and jumping up and down from mid April

Mumface welcome to the list May your journey be uneventful and just the right length.

Wheely hope you're not getting too weighed down (literally) and things start moving soon. Fingers crossed for your BP.

Lola Thanks for the positive story, really hope this has a happy ending. Oh and the headaches! Not missing them at all. Hope they get better for you - drink lots of water.

saz hope your MS gets better. My only advice would be eat very plain, very small amounts when you're feeling rough (which you're probably doing already)

Had no sleep at all here, between the insomnia and the SPD I think I might just give up on sleeping 'til baby is grown up. No sleep really doesn't help with the missing him and feeling sad. But still ok. No housework for me today, I can't really walk.

scarlotti · 05/03/2009 09:36

Hangingbelly - good luck for today. Understand your fear but am hoping that it's unfounded for you.

Crunch - well done on being so brave - I think you deserve a day without housework

YouKnowNothingoftheCrunch · 05/03/2009 09:52

I'm sure I don't scarlotti. Not feeling very brave, feeling foolhardy, but it's good enough. Thanks.

Rachel1963 · 05/03/2009 10:47

Hello everyone, things move so fast on this board, I've been reading all the messages but haven't had time to post.

Had my 18 week MW appointement on Tuesday. Had been a real state about it (posted about it a few pages back) but it was fine, she found aheartbeat straight away, then lost it because the baby was wriggling around so she was chasing it round my tummy with her doppler. But everything is OK and I think I'm beginning to feel some little movements so I'm a lot more positive now and may even risk going out to buy some maternity clothes as my bump is growing at a rate of knots.

Lola - when I was pregnant with DS, my DH didn't really get excited at all about my bump and I think he was a bit freaked when I tried to get him to feel movements. BUT when DS was born, he was immediately given to DH to hold and I watched a man fall instantly in love with his baby. So don't worry too much if your DH doesn't seem that interested in a bump, it may just be that it's not as real to him yet as it is to you.

YouKnowNothingoftheCrunch · 05/03/2009 10:59

Hello Rachel glad to hear your MW apt went well. It is a relief when you start to feel them move and don't need someone else to confirm all is well.

ladyhelen2 · 05/03/2009 12:18

rachel glad to hear your mw appointment went well. Have you a 20 week scan coming up too?

hangingbelly have my fingers crossed for you today. Hope all goes well.

I am shattered! I could put my head on this keyboard and fall asleep right now. I must be up about 3 times a night for a wee or woken by DS. He didn't come into our bed until 5.30am this morning which is much later than usual, but he was minus his pajama bottoms! Bit of a mystery as he hadn't had an accident. He'd just taken them off!

I must have really grown in the last week as over the past three or four days, I think just about everyone has commented. I must admit it makes me smile as I am so chuffed to have made it this far. Only 8 weeks to go now! I did weigh myself in light of the comments and was pleased to have only put on 1 stone 9lbs which is well within the expected gain for my height and start weight. So despite the tiredness and the back ache, feeling generally chipper!

wheelybug hope those reflexology sessions produce a result soon. I've already booked in for some starting at 36 weeks! Oh and have seen you over on the skiing boards. Are you missing it this season as much as me?? I know we have a much better project on the go, but I have had severe snow withdrawal this year!

extremelychocolateymilkroll · 05/03/2009 12:38

Had results of today's blood test and HcG levels 7,863 - on Tuesday they were 6,540 so obviously not looking good. I have another scan booked for next Tuesday and will have another blood test then.

Wheelybug · 05/03/2009 15:24

Sorry things aren't looking so good extremely. Take care and hope Tuesday hurries up for you.

crunch - sorry you're in so much pain on top of everything else. You seem so positive in spite of everything. You're a marvel .

Ladyhelen - the reflexology has done nothing yet unless its responsible for the increased energy and positive mood I've had this week. I am missing skiing this year - although obviously would rather be about to have a baby and as it happens DH has been seriously ill which has affected his balance so actually I'm not sure which one of us would be less suited to the ski slopes this year . We're already planning next year, although dd will have started school so we're trying to decide if we're going to be v. naughty and run the gauntlet of taking her out so as to avoid the school hols.

Nothing to report here - seeing MW tomorrow so will see how we get on with whether I am engaged (everyone swears I am but they did last week too !). 39 weeks tomorrow - can't believe it !

extremelychocolateymilkroll · 05/03/2009 15:35

Thanks wheelybug.

ashleighbeee · 05/03/2009 15:52

Extremelychocolatey I am clueless when it comes to the HCG level business. I will be keeping my fingers crossed for you on Tuesday & hope that the weekend goes quickly for you. I really am hoping for a positive outcome for you.

Lola You're making me laugh.. I will ask the sonographer to tap into your baby's mind and find out whats going on.. pink or blue thoughts.. haha! Will you be finding out the sex at the 16 weeks (earliest possible date here) I am justifying my private scan cost because Hemel dont show me the bits at my 20 week scan and so i get to see the baby AGAIN

Wheelybug You're about to pop... All the girls at my work 'illegally' take their children on hol out of school hols (overhang by a couple of days in most instances) they're all sure they're going to prison soon hehe but they're still here - i wouldnt worry too much I hope that you're all engaged and ready to go when you see the mw tomorrow.. its nearly over for you.. I hope you keep us updated still.. it'll be sad to see you go !!

Youknownothing when are you starting with Relate? I hope you find the answers you need and you get your DH back as he was..

Scotlass enjoy your army function hope you're the belle of the ball and your big bump enjoys the night too!

Sazstar no worries about mw notes.. I was SO reluctant about going - hence how it managed to get to 12 weeks before she saw me.. She was a bit 'wierd' about me leaving it so late - so you're going at the right time, also i think she sends you for your 12 week scan..? She booked me in for mine, but i already knew i wouldnt get one until 14/15 weeks. Anyway.. hope it goes well and have all your family history to hand, she expected me to know everything

mumface CONGRATULATIONS on joining the list.. I think i may put myself on there after my 20-22 week scan too, I am really beginning to think i'll get there

Right i am off to do some work.. sorry if i have missed people again! I try and get on once a day.. but sometimes i dont have time to catch up with everything - you girls are all too busy and have lots to update with!! xx

extremelychocolateymilkroll · 05/03/2009 17:02

Thanks very much ashleighbee.

YouKnowNothingoftheCrunch · 05/03/2009 17:35

Wheely it's definitely a case of 'if I didn't laugh I'd cry' but I do hope it lasts. Are you eating a lot of pineapples?

Ash Still waiting for Relate to get back to me, apparently they're understaffed so I'm waiting for a call this evening.

extremelychocolately I've no idea about HCG levels either, but still have my fingers crossed for you. Hope you've got lots of RL support rallying around.

scarlotti · 05/03/2009 18:39

Hi all

Just a quick post to say that went to the doc and he's put me in for an early scan at around 8 weeks, so just 3 weeks to wait until we get a better idea of whether this one's ok.

extremelychocolatey - don't know about Hcg levels but keeping everything crossed for you.

hobnob57 · 05/03/2009 20:09

Wow, so much to catch up on and so little time! hangingbelly how was your scan? extremelychocolatey I'm keeping everything corssed for you. The waiting is so hard - keep yourself busy, but do find a moment to prepare for the worst. I didn't last time and it hit me like a tonne of bricks.

The good news is that I'd been holding off until I was a day late and I did a CB test this morning and got the biggest, fattest P I've had since DD's test. So I'm taking that as another good sign. PMA! I've started being able to feel a bulge and getting my first expansion pains. I've really bloated over the past few days - just as I was beginning to feel better about my figure (but is the out come is good it's all worth it!). I felt really drunk this afternoon at about 5pm - a real case of the headstaggers. Shame I hadn't had the joy of two glasses of rose beforehand!

Trying to decide about going to GP if there's a possibility of an early scan. My day off is Friday so too late for an appointment tomorrow. Next Friday I'm busy 'cos my parents are over (do I tell them???!!!) and that will be 5+3. Can I wait another week? Will try to. Got To Keep Positive. Just like youknownothing*

extremelychocolateymilkroll · 05/03/2009 21:42

Thanks YouKnowNothing, scarlotti and hobnob. I know what you mean hobnob about preparing yourself. I had a missed miscarriage before and was prepared for a miscarriage in the first 12 weeks but thought I was safe come the scan - had never heard of an mmc before. So, because of that I am prepared. I think it's 99% certain that the pregnancy hasn't progressed but because of those blasted HcG levels rising a bit I have an unrealistic glimmer of hope. Thanks once again for your messages.

Hangingbellyofbabylon · 05/03/2009 23:47

Hi everyone - the scan was incredible, I've never had a 12 week scan so had no idea that the little one would be so active- even waved at us! I know have to try and calm down a bit and allow myself to believe in this little one.

grinningbee · 06/03/2009 09:28

It's all go in here!

Extremelychocolatey I hope the weekend goes fast for you. I know how horrible waiting around is.

Wheely!! You made me laugh the other day when you said I might go first. HA! No chance. 20 days to go..... eeeeeeeeeeeeek!! Been getting all sorts of twinges, but baby is still wedged up in my ribcage and I don't think she wants to come out

Since we moved house, we've not had a mirror up (not a bad thing imo). However, one went up in the bathroom the other day, and OMG! I look like a whale. I hadn't seen what I looked like from the side, and to say it's a shock is an understatement.

Hello everyone else!

LittlePolly · 06/03/2009 11:18

Hi ladies - hope everyone's well.

I hope you don't mind me popping back in here, but I'm not really sure who else to ask about this.

I'm still waiting to miscarry this baby (second scan yesterday confirmed definitely no heartbeat, but the bean had developed to 7w5d). I wanted to do this naturally this time, having had an ERPC for a mmc before, but there's absolutely no sign of anything happening. I just have a bad feeling that the ERPC messed me up before (took nearly 3 yrs to get pg again) and as I am nearly 40 now don't want to bugger up any slim chance we might have of trying again.

Did any of you here get pg quickly again after an ERPC? (Are any of you even as elderly as me?!!) Or do you think you get back to 'normal' quicker if you let it happen naturally?

Sorry to be asking such a horrible question in this lovely thread, but I really don't know where else to turn and you guys are (sadly) the experts.

Much love
xxxxxx

SesHopesSpringwillbeheresoon · 06/03/2009 11:30

LittlePolly - just seen that you're going through this and wanted to let you know that I had an ERPC at the end of June and then got my BFP at the beginning of Sept. (Am due 10th May).
I was also worried as I'm 36 and this is my 1st DC as I didn't meet my DH until 4 years ago.
It can and will happen for you. In the meantime, be kind to yourself and take it easy. Hope all goes as well as it can for you over the coming weeks and fingrs crossed for a nice sticky BFP soon.

Wheelybug · 06/03/2009 11:38

Sorry things are dragging on for you polly. I had a complete natural miscarriage and I spent the next 2 years wondering if that had messed up my ability to conceive as I had conceived 1st or 2nd time both times before and then something went a bit wrong after the m/c. I don't think either way is more or less likely to mess up your chances. I hope things resolve for you soon.

hobnobs - hurray for your BFP and Scarlotti - am glad your GP was sympathetic and great scan news hangingbelly.

grinningbee - you never know... I have a definite maximum of 17 days to go (1 week till due date and then have 10 days after) (which feels like an eternity....). Lots of twinges but nothing very exciting - off to MW this afternoon to be told yet again that I'm not engaged, but one can hope.

Extremely - thinking of you.

scarlotti · 06/03/2009 11:45

polly - I had my erpc on xmas eve. it was my 2nd m/c and had been back to back with the 1st m/c. We waited a full cycle as per the advice of the hospital and were lucky in that we concieved the following month. I'm now 5 weeks and hoping. I am 35 and have 2dc's (14 and 3) so no spring chicken either. I do think the 2nd m/c might have been because I hadn't had a natural cycle after the 1st - nobody can ever say whether that's right or not but I always wondered if there was something left behind or my hormones were still all messed up.
I know that after the erpc I still felt awful, until I had a period. Within a few days I felt like my old self again - better than I had for the 4/5 months I'd been pg and miscarrying.
My choice had been to m/c naturally with the 2nd but everything had stopped and I was told that until it happened, my hormones would still keep being haywire and my body would still think it was pg. I decided that i wanted to get back to 'normal' (whatever that is) as soon as possible so we could try again.

It's a personal decision but hopefully hearing of others will help. If you want anymore info then ask - am always happy to help x

scarlotti · 06/03/2009 11:47

hobnob great news on your bfp, hangingbelly glad the scan was so succesful. Really hope now you can relax and enjoy the rest of your pregnancy

grinningbee lol! Stay away from the mirror I guess
