Great scan news Maz and Herby !! V. exciting...

Dan - here's hoping your uncomfy-ness turns into something more very soon. Hope DBNO is off moo-ing somewhere but if you're lurking and waiting, I hope you're not tooooo fed up.

Just think in two weeks time, we should have 4 new babies (although haven't seen supersteph post in a while)... but then I'll be 2nd on the list... yikes !

Made it into town this morning and Primark came up trumps (highly unethical I know so I do try and avoid but in some situations, such as these, you just have to... I think) - 2 black (with pink spots) button nighties for £3 each and packs of 6 waist hugger pants
for £2. Fantastic. Also got some more bits in boots and dd's pressie from the baby.

One grrrr though, I came home to a parcel having been delivered to my neighbour. Assumed it was the Mothercare order that I paid extra for next day delivery only to find that from my emails I think its the John Lewis Order which had free p&p arrived in less than 24 hours and the mothercare one is still showing as undespatched. I could understand if it took longer to get here once ithad been despatched cos of the snow but not the fact it hasn't. I shall be demanding my p&p back.

Fab news herby and maz!! herby - my DS is so lovely, that was actually quite shocked when I found out this one's a girl...boys are fab!!

dan - FGS call your tutor now . Am convinced that as soon as you've done it your labour will start as you'll have finished all unresolved issues.....(just don't hold me to that will you!?)

Can't believe there'll be 4 babies in a fortnight....that's so exciting!!

Wheely - you should definitely get your money back....v poor indeed

Right - am so jealous of all the bugs being bought have pretty much decided I won't get a P&T and will get a bug and a buggy board....although I don't drive so we walk everywhere, so maybe I should get a double (is there a

dan - are you going out in the snow in stiletto shoes ??!!?? Am with you on the no shoe tying front though. Have been living in my trainers as they just slip on - was a palaver trying to get wellies on and off the other day. Just not worth it imo. Hope things start to move on for you soon. Try sparky's suggestion re the tutor- it might just work!

sparky - what is the age gap? My ds will be just under 3 and though he will still go in the buggy we have, he wouldn't even sit in the P&T in the shop. Was gutted as I really wanted one at the time. Then I decided it was too heavy for me and too big for my car, so I went for the bee. I thought about a Mutsy (with the funky lie-back car seat) for a while - but dh thought it was too heavy. Think we will have to get the buggyboard too. Either that or a saddle for the dog

herby - I too had a yearning for a wee girl, and I keep saying that at least one of my boys has to grow up gay so I get decent presents and have someone to go shopping with! Am currently telling this lo that he has to make millions and keep me in a style I am really not used to in order to compensate for the truly horrid time I have had carrying him. Seriously though, so glad that the scan went well for you.

wheely - cheap is best for labour/postnatal wear. It is just going to get covered in all sorts, so you can throw it out if it is beyond washing.

Ok, lunch break over - back to the essay. 1500 words down & 1500 to go - of course, it is all complete twaddle so far

napa · 04/02/2009 16:47

Bad news for me - todays scan showed another mmc. having erpc tomorrow. good luck to everyone and thanks for the support you have all given me

VJay · 04/02/2009 17:18

Oh napa I am so sorry xxx

winemakesmummyclever · 04/02/2009 17:49

Oh napa, I am so, so very sorry x.

dan39 · 04/02/2009 18:08

napa i am so, so sorry. Hope tomoro goes as well as it can do. Come back soon.

LittlePolly · 04/02/2009 18:20

Thanks everyone for your lovely warm welcomes. It's great to read about successful scans and somersaulting babies ? gives me great hope.

Tracyea yes it would be good to support each other. I'm planning on sticking around here (I hope). How are you feeling about things?

Herb you made lol at your hoping for "a gay" comment.

I'm just trying to keep really busy until I get to 8 weeks and can go for an early scan. Trouble is, I'm bloody knackered! And feeling very sicky, which I didn't have with the previous unsuccessful pregnancy, so I'm hoping this is a good sign.

SparkyMalarky · 04/02/2009 18:21

oh napa. am so very very sorry. Will be thinking of you tomorrow.

Wheelybug · 04/02/2009 18:24

So sorry Napa. Hope tomorrow goes as well as these things can.

downbutnotout · 04/02/2009 19:09

napa - I am so sorry, please take care of yourself.

downbutnotout · 04/02/2009 19:11

Just have to let you know - ds was finally born yesterday! Have been in hospital for 24 hours for obs as there was meconium in waters, but now home safe and sound, if knackered and sore. Will post more when have got my head vaguely together.

Wheelybug · 04/02/2009 19:34

Yeah ! Congratulations DBNO !! Glad all is well and look forward to hearing the details when you are able. Enjoy your DS !!

cece · 04/02/2009 19:46

Sorry to hear your news napa - good luck for tomorrow.

dbno - congratulations to you - we want to hear all about it...

great news for herb and maz too

I had antenatal appt today with GP who was lovely. She was the one who helped me after losing Hope and this is the first time I have seen her since getting pg. I am already measuring a week ahead of my dates with regards to fundal height.... The consultant has already muttered about growth scans later if I get too big (and an early induction). DS was 5.1 kilos so they think this one might be big too I guess! I don't mind too much, big babies are great once they are out! LOL

winemakesmummyclever · 04/02/2009 21:06

dbno - congratulations and welcome to your little ds. Glad you are both home, safe and sound. Never mind us lot, enjoy your wee man and get some rest

cece - glad things went well today. 5.1 kilos - wow is all I can say to that!!

crunch - it feels more like a case of not getting anything important done at all. Seem to have spent the day chasing my tail. Have decided to close the books for the night, stuff my face with a curry and a fake beer (cannot possibly face curry without a beer, even if there is no alcohol in it!), and watch the programme on Terry Pratchett on BBC2. Then an early night.

tracyea · 04/02/2009 21:39

Good Evening girls!

Napa i'm so sorry, it is horrible for you - life is crap sometimes... thinking of you tomorrow.

LittlePolly i sneaked a peak at the maternity section in the Next catalogue today - talk about tempting fate but I couldn't resist!

I saw some friends today and spent the whole time biting my tongue and not saying anything!!

Sore boobs and a distinct taste of metal in my mouth.

Dan how are you getting on?

It is so lovely to hear about everyone else's success - it gives me some hope

tsom · 04/02/2009 21:45

napa very sorry to hear this, hope to see you back here soon

dbno congratulations , full report when you had some sleep - about 12 months then

cece 5.1kg

had rescan monday - placenta has moved hooray. C/S 17th march, seems odd to know the date already, going to try to keep it quiet from my MIL for a while to minimize fussing. Tried to persuade registrar that my dates were correct rather than booking scan at 15 weeks but she was having none of it. Said stop aspirin at 34 weeks but wasn't aware I was taking it until I asked about it...hmm

scotlass · 04/02/2009 21:47

napa I'm so so sorry for your loss . I hope that tomorrow goes quickly and you take some time off to recover.

dbno that's lovely news. Congratulations!!!! I'm knackered tonight and was just going to have a sneaky lurk but the highs and lows of this thread make it impossible not to post. can't wait to find out more - like name, labour, weight ......... but we'll let you off just now till you have a rest

dan - you're next!!!!!!! AND HAVE YOU CALLED THAT TITOR YET YOUNG LADY?

wmmc hope the essay is flowing - respect to you girl, I struggle with writing posts on here sometimes!! I wanted a bee but was outvoted by DH and DD so went for the cam. I actually fancied an xplory but can?t be bothered with the moaning I?m sure my mother would do about it (hoping she may offer some child care). DD is much better now thanks, I was so relieved DH was home and on sick duty. I (touch wood) have been OK on the toilet front this week.

sparky mini eggs

herb I?m so glad scan went OK.

daisy I?m with you on the heartburn hell. It?s when I lie down at night it?s the worst though. Oh the joys eh ? will be worth it I?m sure tho?

looby sorry about your cat

And welcome to littlepolly and tracey - wishing you a long and uneventful stay.

scotlass · 04/02/2009 21:49

oops
that'll be tutor, not titor

(must be thinking about something else)
