talk to me! am confused. 1 pg test with faint line, needed convincing so took another half hour later and it's neg?

am still bf ds (10.5 mo) but only at night, am trying to stop altogether... we are ttc but only in the vaguest sense, ie hardly ever manage to have sex....

still no af since got pg last time, did a test a while ago, was neg.

def had sex... ummm i dunno 2? 3? weeks ago, have been feeling weird so did this test, and the other one in the box. now don't know what to think - is it poss that it's just cos i'm testing early? i maen with no missed af and a blurry concept of time it's hard to know...

and yes i know i'll have to test again but i still want someone to tell me what to think!

the test says not to let wee get on test window and i think a bit did on the 1st (+) one.... surely that would not make it show + ??????

god i feel like an idiot asking but any thoughts ladies???

If it showed +, you are pregnant. Congratulations

Possible that you just didn't have enough urine concentration in the pee that followed half an hour later.

If it's early days then you may not have had enough hormones in the second wee?

Get more tests and use first morning urine (FMU)

you will probaably find that it is a positive and because you took a test only half hour later your wee was not concentrated enough so came up negative. I would take a test first thing in the morning then you will know fingers crossed

I had a good early result with a First Response test.

Could the first test have been an evaporation line? or did it come up immediately?

Pg tests sometimes give false negatives but I don't think they ever give false positives.

i woudl say the second test was wrong do another 1 to find out

I've had the same thing happen to me! A friend said that it is not possible to have a false positive but you can have a false negative. I just did another one (using expensive digital) and it came up with an error! Good luck!

no don't think so daisy. it was a bit slow compared to my + with ds (which was also VERY definite in colour not faint like this, but was a good week after missed af)

although it was a bit slow there was still something in that window before the control line came up... just a bit faint (as am I!!!!!)

I took tesco cheap test got pos, next day to make sure got clearblue digital double pack and got not pregnant with first test took the other and got pregnant!!! currently 21 weeks !

I'd say it shouldn't, but no expert, obviously.

Well I had one of these a few weeks ago - was -ve. General consensus is you can't have a false positive so I guess I'm one in a million.
(I'b bf as well - that can't have anything to do with it, can it?)

am just so confused, and can't get test now so can't test tomorrow morning. am not keen on this not knowing thing - it's fine not knowing cos you haven't tested but 2 tests with diff results - aaaarrrrgh.
