Hi,

Does anyone have any experience of really premature rutured membranes ?

My waters went on monday as a result of an infection i picked up having an emergency stitch put in last week.

Babys fine and the stitch is still holding, i've not gone in to labour but obviously this is a grim situation and we're likely to lose our baby boy.

I'm on some wacking great antibiotics which are making me feel hideous but i have been discharged from hospital, there is nothing mroe they can do there apparently so i am home on bedrest praying babys lungs develop and he stays put for a few more weeks to at least give him a chance.

Does anyone know anyne who has been though this ?

Haven't been on much for ages- thought I'd have a quick check to see how your beautiful family are doing and WAHAY GEORGE IS HOME!!!!! Congratulations to you all!! He has done so amazingly well to be home so soon - what a fab lil man (and of course fab mummy too)

Enjoy every second

jabberwocky · 08/03/2009 17:43

That is wonderful!

Ds2 was 4 lbs 13 oz when I brought him home and it is really little. But they plump up fairly quickly. I'll bet he's glad to be home with his family

I have just read this post from start to finish and I wanted to say 1 CONGRATULATIONS on George coming home and 2 you should be bloody pround of yourself for coping the way you did. You are an inspiration.

I hope you have a fantastic 2009. My love to the four of you! x

WorzselMummage · 03/05/2009 20:50

Thanks. I feel proud of us all, George especially.

He's 18 weeks now and 7lb or there abouts. Still breastfeeding and seems to be completly unscathed by his experience. We've been so lucky.

It's strange to see this post ressurected !

sorry i posted that and it's missed the main body of my post !

Congratulations on your pregnancy wonderwitch and bless you for crying, hormones are wonderfull eh

I dont think i am an inspiration though really, it was a shit situation and we only just scraped though it intact. There we're times when seriosly considered getting in the car a driving off in to the sunset and we have been relativly lucky! there are people who deal remarkably well with much worse situations, there are people on this site who inspired me to keep going though it all. I guess we all just deal with the hand we are dealt, i am not sure i'd have dealt with it anywhere near aswell without Mumsnet.

I read in chat on here the other day that mumsnet is full of biatches ( or beeeeaches actually ? ) and how it's not supportive atall.. This post proves that to be a complete load of shit !

Without this i'd have fallen to peices !

Hello WorzselMummage,

Now you did that on purpose didn't you, knowing I was tearful!! lol, as soon asi saw the first pic I burst into tears... note to self... GET A GRIP lol

You must be sooooo proud, George is absolutely gorgeous.... I want one...OH I am!! lol

Well I think your an inspiration and I am sure there are ALOT on here who agree

I have found on here even though only been on here a short time, everyone is so lovely and friendly, but its the same everywhere, you always get a few who ruin it for the rest ( trolls) and they are just best totally ignored IMO.

Right off to have another weepy at your pics lol, awww he is sooo cute

Hugs

WorzelMummage I had read your thread when your waters first went and was thinking of you last week when a friend had to have a caesarian at 27 weeks due to pre-eclampsia. I was really hoping you would post an update and it is SO SO lovely to see how well George is doing and how happy and gorgeous he looks. The photo of him inside your vest is absolutely adorable!! I will tell my friend about George if that's OK as she is in a real mess at the minute. Her baby was 750grams when she was born, v scary. Thanks again for updating, so lovely to see. It must have been the most challenging last few months for you and your family x

OonaghBhuna · 06/05/2009 22:48

He is gorgeous, you have been through so much I can only echo what other people have said and that is Well Done! The photos are beautiful.

oopsacoconut · 12/05/2009 18:26

Worzel,

Have been away for a while and was wondering how you were all doing but am thrilled to see what a little porker George is becoming. It is amazing how such a tiny little person can grow in such a short space of time and attract so many admirers in the process.

Please keep us all updated with how he grows.

penj · 02/07/2009 15:23

Hi Worzel,

I have just been lying here hopeless until I read your entire blog.

I started loosing my waters at 20 weeks and my story is very similar to yours, however my scan revealed last tues than I have no sign of water left around the baby... still i feel her and her heartbeat was still strong, we have had all the usual facts plus more grim news that she has not grown alot in the last 2 weeks and now they are saying the baby might not be re-producing her water...its so crap everything on tv is babies/miscarriages and to top things off a friend has just given birth to a healthy son ...

Thanks for your story and thanks to the PROM website because without these there would be no hope - you sure as hell dont get any from the hospital!

Congrats on beating the stats!!!

X Penj

GeorgeTheSlitheen · 11/08/2009 13:16
