Ladymac I second JW you are holding things together very well, I am a total emotional blob at all times. Do you know when you will see a speech therapist? It my be worth speaking to them before you change what you are calling Elizabeth.
OLiver has just had a bottle of formula, the mommy milk machine has given up the ghost, I'm going to have a lie down. see you later maybe?

johnworf · 20/10/2008 20:03

hedgepig Oliver will not care one jot that his lovely milky tummy is full of formula. All he knows that he's now sleep and full

You enjoy your lie down. You've earned it dear

jeanjeannie · 20/10/2008 20:39

Evening....pah - all the halloween hats have dropped off the emoticons.... So I'm back to my old self again

ladymac A power cut...how very 1970s..are you heading for a winter of discontent?! I second what everyone has said here - I think you're handling everything brilliantly. Getting as much info as possible is always the best way to move forward. But gosh - you've got straight in there so quickly - I like your style LadyM

No advice for getting back to sleep I'm afraid. Bit similar myself. I had it dreadfully while preggie 2nd time round. I'm sure Green and Blacks helps

tee ah yes, the bending over nausea rush - nice! Eat little and often - pah, not that I did....I ate a lot AND often American eh...in Belfast - how cosmopolitan! Will you be partaking in the Obama, McCain voting extravaganza?!

hedgepig you have a lie down dear - so long as Oliver has a full belly (cos a full belly is a happy belly) then you've done your job

jw wailing laughing at that quote. Have visions of Guy Richie living it large in his underpants. No doubt he's ordered a curry, bought shed loadsa c*ap off Ideal World and his mates have started to turn up to play cards and watch porn

OP posts:
mrsboogie · 20/10/2008 22:45

aye, its funny about Guy. Unlike most men though who feel their wives keep them on too tight a leash at least he can afford to go out and buy himself a pub to sup in of an evening...

jw and ladymac apologies - re the Disability Living Allowance - I meant to say that I don't work in the benefits bit of Govt. so couldn't be of any assistance. (typical Civil Servant eh? "sorry, not my department")

tee guess you have seen some changes in Belfast in the last five years (for the good) Have never been myself although I am form not too far away (Sligo in the Republic)

jeanjeannie · 21/10/2008 08:02

Morning all. Another shocking night - I shan't bore you with it.

Iris is off with MIL today...so it's just me and the creature of the night

DP has just said another we need another skip in the back garden....oh good. Only just got rid off the other one. Love looking like a load of gypsies!

mrsb no worries. I don't expect you to be the font of all knowledge (just most!)

Sorry to hear that Verity should now be renamed 'insomniac child' JJ. She'll probably sleep it all off during today and catch up - unlike you most prolly. Oh dear. She has been a naughty girl of late. Poor you. I dunno how you go on without sleep. I'm such a tetchy bitch when I'm knackered. Can't you catch an hour today when she's having a nap - hopefully she will have one at some point.

Tee are you getting the jist of this thread yet? Yep, we're mostly bonkers (sleep deprived, you'll get there soon enough!). I'll go with JJ's advice although on my last pregnancy it was full on vomitting

Haven't got to look at the DM website yet so no idea what is going on within the real world of planet celeb. Must find out what Guy is up to today now that Madonna has 'got herself another fine specimen to have a child with'. Read it and weep!!! Must go off and catch up and will return with finger on the pulse. Oh! and OK is out today Marvelloso.

K got me up at 3.30am just to keep me on my toes. Knew it wouldn't last...wahaahah

mrsboogie · 21/10/2008 10:31

another shocker here too. 2am, 4am, 6am feeds combined with a refusal to fall to sleep unless lying on mummy's chest

oh and at 3am he required a change of babygro after dribbling milk down himself while feeding. After this the dummy was nowhere to be found. After many long minutes of bewildered searching I chanced to find it down one of the legs of his babygro.

am officially f*cked (and not in a good way)

off to fetch a coffee and to immerse myself in the DM website.

jeanjeannie · 21/10/2008 10:44

Has Madge got another specimen? Good Lord it's a wonder she has time - considering she's so emersed in herself.

Talking of which - I think I've let myself go of late. My eyebrows....gosh they need plucking and dying....they're like Alistair Darling...in reverse

MrsB.....sending out sleep deprived sympathies to you......

jw I'm an ebay (seller) Virgin....is it hard? Is it full of nutters that'll give me the runaround? I'm slightly scared .....I think I need reassurance! You make a living out of it if i've remembered correctly......go on, tell me it's ok....

Gorgeous day. Verity is finally asleep, plan is to go out into town....if i can get off the sofa!

aye she has jj a married philandering footballer or some such sporty type. She apparently "wants to have his baby".

Apparently they have been seeing each other for a while and he has passed several tests that she set for him including things like quizzing him on her Kabbala beliefs and his recall of the clothes and jewellery that she wore on their previous meetings (to make sure he was giving her all due attention)

johnworf · 21/10/2008 11:18

lmfao @ mrsb That's kinda like the test I gave DH before we got wed. NOT! Although DH is fab for smuggling new outfits in as he has no clue what I'm wearing, ever

Yeah JJ she's wanting to have his baby at 50! She could almost join our thread

Just laughing at your eyebrows JJ. Pop into town and get them waxed. Only takes a jiffy and you'll look as though you've been punched in both eyes for the rest of the day. Go nicely with the dark circles

Buy cake while you are there...you know it makes sense.

I'm still wondering how the dummy got down the babygro leg

johnworf · 21/10/2008 11:19

JJ what advice do you need re Ebay? I'm all ears Nothing to it really. Photo your stuff, plonk it on there. I'm sure you know your marketing..jsut make sure your title is good and includes key words that people will search for.

Let me know if you need a pointer

Tee2072 · 21/10/2008 16:17

Yeah...so much for no MS. Well, at least I haven't barfed!

And how is it at all possible to be nauseous and hungry at the same time????

Also, warning to any OH out there...do not get between a nauseous pregnant woman and the toaster in the morning! I yelled at my OH this morning for standing in my way!!!

jeanjeannie · 21/10/2008 17:09

Afternoon ladies....I've been into town....for CAKE!!! Oh....and I had to pop into Hennes for the £1 sale Secured a gorgeous choccie brown and pink stripe dress for Iris for the said amount....pleasing. Verity is wearing her new floral dress shirt! Nothing in the long sleeve vest dept for babies at the moment...pah.

mrsB I'm in admiration of your sleb knowledge

jw i shall avail myself of your expertise should I need it...thanking you very muchly I think I'm just hoping it's easy peasy and whoever wins pays up and doesn't prat about. Had a few mates who've given up after having been not paid and had to relist. Or wanting to send it back as they've changed their minds...

OP posts:
jeanjeannie · 21/10/2008 17:15

Hahahah tee a man should never come between a pregnant woman & her food. Messy, nasty business....Rottweiler springs to mind

Oh nausea AND hunger - a common combination when up the duff! Add to that a strong desire for food stuffs you've never usually been able to stomach With me it was bananas...couldn't get enough of them and I loathe them! Evil, yellow, fibrous curvy things.......EEewwwwwww

OP posts:
Tee2072 · 21/10/2008 17:35

Oh, God, jeanjeannie I pray it isn't bananas. I loathe bananas also!

Maybe it'll be chocolate...nothing but chocolate!

johnworf · 21/10/2008 18:09

I feel sick. DH came home and presented me with very large slice of double chocolate fudge cake from posh cake shop up the road.....gawd....the agony and the ecstasy

JJ if you're worried about people not paying up on Ebay then do it as a buy it now with immediate payment - no cheques, postal orders or brass buttons. Just hard moolah in the bank.

I've bought some bargains today from said Hee Bay...some nice Osh Kosh dungarees, a dress from Autograph and a Laura Ashley jumper Bargains. Well done you on getting the girls kitted out for a POUND? Did I read that right...only a pound? Wow.

I think, like Tee, I need to be sick.

(o O did I mention that this morning I had very strong broody feelings? Scared the shit outta myself. And no, I won't be following them up).

Tee2072 · 21/10/2008 18:25

You can be sick for me JW, if you want! I don't mind!

And you will feel better if you share the cake!

mrsboogie · 21/10/2008 19:18

oh my gawd jw step away from the broody thoughts!

I had, until last night and today's shenanigans (last night lots of feeding and sleeping - today no sleeping, no feeding all day crying), been thinking how nice it would be to have another matching one to make up the set. But no more!

jeanjeannie · 21/10/2008 19:45

JW wants a baby! JW wants a baby!!!

Be careful now - it happened to me on our one and only night of unprotected naughties

What a FAB DH.....a large slice of POSH double choccy fudge CAKE! OOoooer, jw are you sure he's not feeling broody too

OP posts:
mrsboogie · 21/10/2008 21:31

He's deffo after summat jw

gosh jj you too? and they say us oldies' fertility is in rapid decline...

johnworf · 21/10/2008 22:42

haha@cake offering/bribery. He's always after something! But I know he's def NOT after another baby!!

I can tell you the exact time/date that I conceived. Twas on DH's b'day, tween xmas and new year

ladymac · 21/10/2008 23:02

Look at me, I was just going to have one baby with DH as I'd been there, done that etc. Be warned, mrsb and you too johnworf, I too started thinking how nice it would be if Elizabeth had a little playmate. I thought it would be a long shot as I probably wouldn't have any good eggs left seeing as I was the ripe old age of 44 and three quarters. And then DH looked at me and, Bob's your uncle, here I am thinking about buying a bloody Phil and Teds!

johnworf · 22/10/2008 08:34

lol@ladymac Well I take my hat off to you and your concerted efforts ! I can honestly say that there will be no more babies after Katherine. I think the ladies on this thread will attest for me when I say that I've had a few 'hiccups' with the pregnancy and the birth so I'll leave the babymaking to the rest

mrsboogie · 22/10/2008 10:24

mornin all

I know the date I conceived as well- between Xmas and New Year also. However, last night D shouted and grizzled from 11pm 'til 3am and so I may be looking on ebay today for chastity belts

Another day another load of mudslinging between Guy and Madge - this could get a bit boring...

johnworf · 22/10/2008 11:19

mrsb yep, I saw the accusations and counter allegations. Sighs. Their poor kids. I wonder if they're getting stick at school about their mum having a new b/f and their dad being boring? Prolly not. I doubt they go to the local primary.

@ Darragh. Naughty boy. Do you think there's an underlying cause i.e. hunger or colic? or is he just being a devil?

I dunno what happened with K last night. She wouldn't settle all evening and then she guzzled 2 x 4oz bottles in the space of an hour. Honked up about an ounce of it then promptly fell asleep and didn't hear her until 7.15am this morning Think she's having a growth spurt at the mo but won't know until my MW comes back off her holiday next week. Stand in MW rang full of a cold so she won't get past the door anyway. I'm thinking she must be close to 10lbs now...arms drooping what with her and oxygen cylinder to carry

Beautiful day here and to celebrate I ate the chocolate donut I found in the fridge. I feel sick again now and serves me right. I'll have to starve the rest of the day now as I've had my daily calorie intake all in one go BAH!

Are you alive today JJ or have the girls finished you off in the night?

mrsb mebbe we conceived on the same day? 28th December here. It was a b'day treat for DH. How bizarre that perhaps our eggs were running around at the same time
