Hi!

Thought I'd start a group for those of us just getting our positives now and are due in April 2027!

I've just had a positive from a frozen embryo transfer. One DD and a previous loss and one failed cycle.

Anxious putting one foot in front of the other in these early days!

Wow, I just received an email in regards to my booking appointment for 26th August when I'll be 8w+1d 🥰

Oh the visual of snuggly jumpers and cosy evenings with a little bump..! This has made me want to have just a small cry!

I'm suffering on the HG front already. I've had to call in to work which I hate doing. But I work in a hospital and no one needs the staff to also be throwing up everywhere!

I'm now on cyclizine and prochlorperazine which has slowed down the actual sickness but I feel absolutely rotten. My 4 (almost 5) year old is being an absolute sweetheart though so I've had plenty of rest!

Hoping it gets better @Orchid887 and that the medication helps. I read eating little and often (plain foods) helps to curb nausea, as does eating something plain like crackers when you first wake up.

Hello..
oh so gently dipping my toe in here.. was previously in the December 26 due group but sadly was a loss.
Tested positive 11 DPO. I am so anxious but trying to be chill.

Mortima · 30/07/2026 18:56

@Orchid887 Oh no, that sounds horrible, so sorry the sickness has hit you this hard already. Take all the time off work that you need x

@Babybuns26 Welcome, and congratulations Flowers sorry about your previous loss. I hope this one is uneventful for you

I am also glad that I won't be heavily pregnant in the summer this time around, but also slightly cross that as it's the opposite time of year to my last pregnancy, I will have to spend more money on clothes (jumpers, coat).

Also, to those of us with existing DC, be careful! I idly asked my DS yesterday if he would like to be a big brother, and if he thought mummy should have a baby...I only mentioned it once, and he didn't seem to engage in what I was saying at all. But today he has been telling everyone at nursery that he's going to have a baby, and be a brother 🙃his nursery worker guessed straightaway from my face when she told me.

Hey! Clearblue isn’t always accurate and some people take ages to get a 3+. For example when I was 8 weeks pregnant with my daughter, I saw her on a scan, took a clearblue just after the appt so I could finally get that 3+ and it still said 2-3 weeks! Do you have regular periods? When was the start of your last period? And did you track ovulation with an LH stick or egg white mucus?

Oh this is good to know that you were 8 weeks when it said 2-3!

Thats the problem, I haven’t tracked anything properly, not had a period (I don’t think) only been off the pill a few weeks so very fortunate to catch so soon! Had some very light bleeding 3 weeks ago so it’s whether that was a period and I fell pregnant extremely quickly after it or it was implantation bleeding.

i’m going to the private scan and trying to prepare myself not to be upset if no heartbeat, and will just have to book another the following week! But if there is, then great!

Dont quote me on this but I’m pretty sure if they don’t find a heartbeat or see much they bring you back for free. They did for me anyway x

@Mortima- Thank you, I'll be back onto the GP tomorrow to enquire about Xonvea!

Ahaha, that is amazing!! Bless his heart! I've had some chats with my DD about whether she'd like mummy to "ask the doctor to put another embryo back and try and grow a baby". She is ALL for it and has basically nagged me ever since to get hold of the doctor.. little does she know!

I feel awful though as she's so worried about me being so sick and tired all the time. Wish she could have her little mind at rest but desperate for her not to know until much later.

A private 16 week scan co-insides beautifully with October half term so perhaps I'll tell her then!

Aww no way? My due date per lmp is April 9th my first baby is 11 years old so feel like a first timer again.

VioletTea27 · 31/07/2026 09:12

My sense of smell has gone through the roof! Trying to feed the cats this morning was interesting… 🤢 Other than being unable to sleep well, that’s my only symptom so far.

beeble347 · 31/07/2026 10:00

@Babybuns26 and @LemonCheesecake95 so sorry to hear of your losses and I hope this pregnancy is uneventful for you both 💐

@Orchid887 HG is no joke! Hope the medication kicks in soon, you poor thing. Your DD sounds so sweet, bless her!

@Mortima that is hilarious 😂 they never react in the moment, do they? I'm lucky in a way that mine is 17mo so we've been chatting away about it and he doesn't know what's going on. I've been whispering to him "Mummy's having a baby" and he's whispering back "kadikadika" haha don't think he's spilling the beans any time soon.

We told my DB last night, very cute and we were joking about all the times he could have spotted it. Apparently when he saw the Clearblue box in the recycling he thought it was from when we conceived our toddler and thought "wow they've held onto that a long time" 🤣 dozy guy. He also missed me booking my midwife appointment in front of him, me getting vanilla rooibos because I'm cutting down on caffeine, not being able to do hot yoga and me feeling very tired/hot/on off nauseous.

Speaking of tea, I swear this not being able to have liquorice/herbal tea thing is new NHS advice? I avoided hibiscus last time but that was my very intense googling of every bit of food, drink or skincare being pregnancy safe.

RowsOfFlowers · 31/07/2026 11:58

I’m 5 weeks now and I’m not experiencing many symptoms at all, mostly tired and poor sleep and sore boobs. Wondering if other symptoms kick in a bit later?!

I think that's so normal ❤️ tired and poor sleep and sore boobs are annoying but normal and positive symptoms! Every pregnancy is different.

With my DS I only started getting nausea at 5.5 weeks (actually would have been 6.5 dated properly) and it ramped up as I got closer to 7 (more like 8) weeks. When we were in Mexico, ha ha. I was worrying at the time about not having nausea, then it kicked in and I was like 🤡 this time could be totally different. Fingers crossed anyway! Trying to get my protein in while I can RN

Tbh, I’d be quite thankful not to experience the nausea 😅 but a part of me would as it feels confirmatory lol my husband feels the same. I’m praying it’s a pretty smooth ride though!!
yes protein and eating little and often can help - maybe I’m somehow curbing it atm… I’m gonna regret saying this I reckon ! Probably jynxed myself now

Bumblebeemee · 31/07/2026 13:34

@beeble347 I’ve not seen this about herbal tea! I’ll actually cry. I’ve just spent a hefty amount on lots of lovely Bird & Blend teas as a treat. I’ve managed to cut down to one instant coffee in the morning and I’m having herbal the rest of the day. I went off normal tea and coffee completely in my last pregnancies so thought I’d stock up in anticipation.

Nausea is slowing creeping in here but I think with DS2 I was around 6/7 weeks when it fully started. I had cyclizine and promethazine which helped but hoping I won’t need them this time. I was still sick at 34 weeks last time. DS1 I had nausea until 16 weeks and then started vomiting. Not fun!

My sense of smell is through the roof. I was heating up my lunch at work on Wednesday and the woman using the microwave beside me smelled of the loveliest laundry power. I had to stop myself sticking my face right into her top 😂 not coping well with food smells though.

Im confused about dating my weeks. Flo app says 5 weeks today and What to Expect says 4+6, both are saying same due date of 3rd April though? I have a scan booked for 2 weeks today and it’s the slooooooowest passage of time.

Hello! Can I join please? Currently 11dpo but I’ve been getting positives the last few days. Rough EDD on 13th April 💗

This will be my double rainbow, and a sibling for my DD. Feeling very nervous but so hoping it works out xx

4w+3d today.

Lots of abdominal pressure, peeing for England and finding it hard to get comfortable in bed at night already 😒

Nooooo 😭 I really feel for you! How far along are you? I haven’t been sick again since I started the cyclizine + B6 so hoping I can get a few weeks at least out of it but GP is going to add in prochlorperazine as soon as the vomiting breaks through.
Have you discussed taking omeprazole earlier? GP speaking to EPU to see if I can start now because I swear that made a difference with my HG last time just removing a bit of that excess acid.

Babybuns26 · 01/08/2026 08:02

I’m still testing to see if my lines are getting any darker.
Ran out of my easy at home strips and bought a pack of Clearblue early detection in a pharmacy because we are away for the weekend.
Just tested fmu and there’s a line but still faint. Don’t feel it’s getting darker at all and that’s scaring me.
Not into the doctor til Tuesday due to a bank holiday here this weekend.

These were the three I had added to the premom app and I ran out then. Very slighted darkening on these but feel I should be darker if I’m 16dpo?
or maybe I’m just panicking due to previous loss😣

Is it possible you ovulated later than you thought? Or potentially could be late implantation!
