Thought I would make a thread for those due in March 2027, I joined a thread for my previous rainbow pregnancy in 2022 and I found it so helpful. I found out this week that I am pregnant with my second rainbow baby, after losing my first baby at 29 weeks. I am feeling incredibly anxious, more so than in my first pregnancy after my loss. Wishing everyone a smooth pregnancy ahead 🤞🏼

I’ve ordered myself a few bits in advance so seasickness bands, rennies, 1litre water bottle and preggie pop drops were all saviours in my last pregnancy. I’m with you on the already feeling drained and I’m not even 4 weeks till tomorrow!!

gossipgoat · 29/06/2026 11:32

Is anyone thinking of getting a private early reassurance scan? I am in two minds. It just seems like such a long wait until 12/13 weeks!

I’ve booked one for end of July when I should be 7-8 weeks xx

Oh yes rennies and gaviscon are a must! Will try the drops!

I am now unfollowing this thread because the GP has confirmed that I am almost definitely having a chemical. Thank you to you all for your previous kind messages ❤️

I wish you all the safest and healthiest pregnancies ❤️

Today is 5 +1. Only symptom so far are sore boobs. (Pretty much been sore since the 13th - thankfully only when touched so not conscious if it all the time) and I had some mild/minor cramping in short bursts last week. But so far not much else.
I keep checking the loo roll for blood though - starting to feel like an idiot. I'm past the point where my period would have been and gone and just still not quite believing it but also I guess still getting used to the idea.
We haven't decided if we're going to tell friends and family before the first scan yet. I think the logistics of getting down to see both sets of parents and keeping it down to just them before telling others is what's making us reluctant to tell.
We're both so excited though.

So glad this group is here. Looking forward to going on this journey with you all.

I've decided to just wait it out. I'm not a patient person (as evidenced by username created 2 years ago) but I think the uncertainty at this time is what's keeping me calm and not shouting my excitement from the rooftops. It's already such a hard secret to keep that having early confirmation would have me bouncing off the walls

Longbin · 29/06/2026 14:41

I’m going to go for a scan at about 6.5 weeks. I feel sick already so also want to check it’s just one in there!

mazza2702 · 29/06/2026 15:09

Im going for an early scan because i have identical twins already conceived naturally who are 9 next month and they way i felt with them i feel like that now im scared😂 im going in 15 days for a scan should be around 6+4 then hopefully 🙏🏻

i had a pregnancy 2 years ago which didn’t end nice at 19 weeks🥹 but i definitely did not feel like this then was completely fine that whole pregnancy so this one has me worried x

IThinkImThirtySomething · 29/06/2026 15:47

I’m thinking of booking an early scan around my birthday in August as I am hosting a family games night and would like to announce. I’d be around 9 weeks ish.

mumtrovert · 29/06/2026 17:47

Today was my test date for my IVF clinic, so they’ve booked my scan for the 15th July. I’ll be 6+6. If all is well they’ll discharge me to the NHS. I think to be honest, even if I wasn’t IVF, I’d still have to pay for an early scan. I couldn’t go that whole time not knowing if everything was OK. But I’ve had a MMC in the past.

Bluesclues1 · 29/06/2026 17:55

I’ve booked an early scan for the 11th July where I think I’ll be almost 7 weeks. Nausea is really ramping up 🤢

gossipgoat · 29/06/2026 17:59

Thanks all! I wasn’t going to go for an early scan…. It I’m finding the waiting unbearable -it’s so hard not to just blurt it out! I think I will book in between 7-8 weeks to be on the safe side. I have not really had too many symptoms, sore boobs, and maybe slight nausea? I am only 5 + 1 so will see how it progresses over the next couple of weeks 🤞🏻 it’s my first pregnancy so it’s all new to me!

FlipFlopZebra · 29/06/2026 18:04

We are going to book an early scan for 8 weeks I think, considering the gender blood test too because I’m so impatient but torn because my impatience will cost us money 😆

Last pregnancy I had morning sickness all the way up to the day before the birth so I’m absolutely terrified it’ll be kicking in again soon! I keep eating lots of nice food to make up for knowing there will soon be many months where I can only stomach toast! But also hopeful that every pregnancy is different 🤞 🤞 🤞

Oh boy. I don't think I'd be brave enough to try again after twins. The idea of one baby is scary enough already

Literally us maybe thats why it took so many years to get here 😂 but honestly as much as my boys are well behaved having twins is not for the weak and i definitely would be scared to have them again🥹😅 but praying for a healthy baby or babies sure will find out in 2 weeks🖤

Hi everyone , hope it’s okay if I join .I have no children and I’ve done one round of IVF and had a positive test with my first embryo transfer !🥰 tested yesterday at 16 dpo equivalent and got 2-3 weeks and nice dark lines . I’m due 5th March . I know it’s very early when is everyone telling friends / family xx

SantiagoSister · 29/06/2026 21:11

Congratulations @Lucky444! So lovely to hear things worked on the first go for you.

I’m excited for all the early scans coming up in the next few weeks 🥰

@mazza2702 I’m curious what symptoms you’re having that were the same when you had your twins, I’ve just had this feeling this time that we may have twins. I cracked an egg the day after we started trying and it was a double yolker, then I saw a double rainbow the next day 😂 hoping it’s just strange coincidences as I couldn’t cope with 2 more that’s for sure!

Hi Lucky.
I'm hoping to tell mine and DH's parents around 8 weeks (with or without scan and/or midwife appointment). It's the earliest I can get down to see them all. Otherwise would tell them sooner. Feel it would be good to have someone to lean on should the worst happen. Wider family and friends will likely be after the 12 weeks, in dribs and drabs as pregnancy progresses.

How about you?

Lucky444 · 30/06/2026 07:19

@SantiagoSister thank you ! Congratulations to you too ! 🥰

@ImpatientlyTryingToConceive I’m thinking of telling immediate family at 7 weeks my DH is eager to tell his family .I’ve already told my mum I just couldn’t wait and she’s been invested on the line progression . I’ve had one mmc before so still some anxiety but I can’t wait to tell everyone in a nice way xx

Congratulations everyone I can’t wait for updates from everyone with scans etc 🥰

My mom's been trying to get grankids out of me for ages and we've been struggling for 2 years. We'd only just told them we were having investigations done. So really excited to surprise them with the news.

Lucky444 · 30/06/2026 07:33

@ImpatientlyTryingToConceive aww how exciting I bet they’ll be over the moon , it’s the best isn’t it ours are the same will be the first grandchild on both sides! I have two younger brothers and my DH has one younger sister so they’ll be made up as well . So happy for everyone x

Congratulations lovely, so great that everything worked out for you on the first round :)

I've gotta be honest, I've already told my mum and sister but that's because I've been staying with them both this week/weekend and just blurted it out. All being well we're planning to get an early scan around 8 weeks and then go down to visit DH's mum (she's pretty far away from us) and tell her then 😊

How lovely that you got to share this news with them right away.
I think my mom would be heartbroken if she wasn't the first to know so trying to keep it from my friends as well which is hard because they've been through this journey with me, they've had tearful calls and voice notes from me as AF has arrived when I hoped it wouldn't, etc. So really hate the waiting but I really want to wait to tell my mom in person. So jealous of you right now actually.
