Pregnancy after loss

Hi, I'm 4+4 after a loss at 6+5 in April. I don't want to join the 'due in January' thread yet as I joined the December one then had to bow out, but thought it might be nice to have a thread where anyone in a similar position could chat/vent? I can't see any recent similar threads, apols if I have missed.

I'm feeling a lot more nauseous than last time which I have read can be a positive sign, but obviously doesn't guarantee anything. Just trying to cling to any hope I can!

Went for a scan today because of the bleeding
Didnt see much sadly
Cervix is closed and womb lining is thick
I have irregular periods due to PCOS so i never know when im ovulating
Theyve started me on progesterone
Took bloods and will repeat Sunday morning
They said i could of ovulated later, pregnancy in an unknown location or a threatened miscarriage
Has anyone been through anything similar?
Any positive outcomes?

Sorry to hear that @Countrygirl95 I had a threatened miscarriage with my first pregnancy which wasn’t a positive outcome unfortunately. It’s really hard when things are irregular and you don’t know when you’re ovulating (I also have PCOS so been there!). When was your last period and when did you get your first BFP? Might help you narrow down possible dates a bit. I hope your blood results are reassuring and things start looking clearer and positive soon x

My LMP was 5th June
Tested negative on 1st July
Very faint positive on 5th July (needed my partner to confirm it)

I'm sorry your scan hasn't given you the reassurance you were hoping!

From your test dates it sounds possible that you're a little earlier than you thought. Did they mention they could see a gestational sac or yolk sac or anything?

Based on those dates I think it’s highly likely you’re just really early which could explain why they couldn’t see anything- I’ll keep everything crossed for you 🤞🏻 x

@Countrygirl95 agree that it's possible you're just really early. The earliest I've ever had a positive is 10DPO and if yours was really faint it could be even earlier. Say you were 8-9DPO on 5 July, you'd only be about 4-5 weeks now. Keeping everything crossed for you xx

They are seeing if my HCG rises first i think
Then they will do a follow up scam

Got my HCG levels back and they are currently at 25
So im hoping im alot earlier than i thought
Id rather of seen them low with no sac then high with no sac
They said HCG has to be over 1000 to see anything

I am ok, half way point is slowly creeping up so looking forward to my scan in two weeks! Still not feeling any movement really but may have had some flutters the other day. Nothing im sure of yet though!

I had my blood taken last Monday and they said 5-7 working days, but I think that's from arriving at the lab. So basically I'm hoping this week, had myself convinced they'd come yesterday and was exhausted by the end of the day, didn't realise how stressed I was!

Hi all, I've literally just read this entire thread! Sorry to everyone who has has not great news and really hopefuly to see that it seems to be working out with a lot of you!
I am 6+6 with my 4th pregnancy. 1st was a chemical, 2nd was the month aftera and was my gorgeous DS born Oct 23, 3rd was a MC in Dec 2025 at 9+6 which was awful.
We went through testing and my DH had slightly low sperm count, so we were about to start IVF in July! Have £800 worth of meds in the fridge and then I go and get a positive test.
It's felt like a really long wait already and still have 3 weeks to go to reach the point that I was at last time. I had also told pretty much everyone that we were starting IVF so with half my friends I've said we've decided to wait, half sort of vaguely implied we've started and it's going fine.
I was prescribed progesterone by the IVF clinic but only 21 days worth which will run out at 8 weeks so maybe I should be asking for more?!
Have a private scan booked this Sat where I'll hopefully be 7+1. But even that won't be too reassuring as with the pregnancy last year I had good scans at 6w then 9w

Welcome @Lgn90, congratulations on your current pregnancy and sorry it's been so difficult to get to this point. Definitely ask about more progesterone, I was prescribed it because I'd had a loss and bleeding in my current pregnancy so I'm not sure what the criteria would be for you, or if it varies in different areas.

It's so hard when scans don't automatically mean reassurance, but I'll have everything crossed for you on Saturday x

TMI, I am 7 weeks pregnant tomorrow
i am currently on holiday, have been constipated on and off during this holiday (i always am when im abroad)
there has been occasions i have been straining. earlier i passed a stool and wiped which then appeared a really light pink tinged discharge on the tissue. I did have sex last night and there was some left over (ejaculation) in the toilet which looked a bit of a pink tinged discharge to it. I put my finger up with a tissue and it was such a light tinge of pink. I then got my partner to put his finger up to double check and there was nothing but clear discharge.
as you can imagine i am absolutely mortified. I don’t know what to do or what to expect. I currently have no pain but i feel like i’m just expecting pains to happen?! i fly home friday morning and im praying nothing happens this holiday 💔💔💔💔
i did have mc in april which started with cramps then followed by brown blood at 7 weeks but baby was measuring 5💔

i rang my EPU earlier and they said this is normal?!

@MamaB12 I had pink discharge at roughly the same stage (around 6.5 weeks) and my EPU brought me in for a scan so it seems strange to me that they're saying it's normal, though it could be because it was after sex? Definitely call them back if you have any more. Sorry that you're having to deal with it on holiday, it's so stressful 😔

how did the pregnancy progress for you?
yeah it was the morning after sex so the wednesday morning and a bit in the afternoon but iv not had any more today..

@MamaB12 try not to panic, the cervix is very sensitive during pregnancy so sex or even a bowl movement could cause a tiny wipe of pink.

All good with me thankfully, 22 weeks now and started getting round ligament pain at the weekend! Sharp pains whilst out and about weren't fun. Thankfully it didn't last too long.
