More nausea with a girl or boy

Hi guys,

i know it’s an old wives tale but for those that have had a boy and a girl, which were you more sick with?

All boys here, no morning sickness in any pregnancy! But that could be just me.

With my 3 boys I was sick until around 12 -14 weeks morning only and my girl I was sick all day and throughout pregnancy

I was sick all the time with girls, friends were the same with boys.

I have had hypremesis with all 4 pregnancies all were absolutely horrendous. Two boys two girls

DC1 Girl, very sick
DC2 Boy, not sick
DC3 Boy, really sick
DC4 Boy, not sick

No sickness at all for my boy, bad sickness for my girl. Pregnant again and the sickness is horrendous so expecting another girl but will see!

I had two boys and zero sickness

Bad sickness with my boy pregnancy, no sickness with my girl pregnancy

Worst sickness I had was 1st girl who was rhesus positive (I’m negative) 2nd girl I was vomiting multiple times a day but only for first half of pregnancy, she’s rhesus negative- the boy one I had zero symptoms- he’s rhesus negative too.

Boy = zero nausea or sickness
Girl = lots of nausea but never actually sick

Nausea isn’t based on the sex of the baby so how can this ever be determined?

3 girls here, no boys. Sick as hell all day every day of each pregnancy 😭

No symptoms whatsoever with my boy but sick like clockwork with my daughter

Nausea/sickness are linked to sensitivity to Hcg. Girl pregnancies tend to produce more hcg than boy pregnancies.

Sensitivity to hcg differs between women and hcg levels also fluctuate between pregnancies so it’s not a hard and fast rule but sickness is more likely in a pregnancy with a girl.

Boy and had HG requiring admission to hospital throughout the pregnancy.

One of each and was really sick with my boy - even on the day I gave birth to him but much not too bad with my girl - to the point I wondered if I was still pregnant as my bou had hit me with sickness from about 5 weeks but my girl didn’t start until about 9 ish weeks and wasn’t half as bad

Mine was worse with each pregnancy and I have two of each sex, so worst with boy but also mildest with boy- first and last.

DD has had HG in her second and third pregnancies and they are one of each sex.

HG on both pregnancies one boy / one girl , different but equally crap .

Boy - not sick
girl - felt very sick
girl - felt very sick

Hyperemesis Gravidarum with DS1 , nothing more than an occasional queasy sensation with DS2. Babies are gits 🤣

DS1 - least sickness
DS2 - worst sickness
DD - in between

I’m guessing you didn’t read the bit at the start where I said “ I know it’s only an old wives tale” lol. I know it’s more than likely a myth but then some research does claim that because of higher HCG with female fetus, you can be more sick so I was just curiou
