My pregnancies weren't massively different for each. Less anxiety and no sleep issues 2nd time round. But for both I had mild nausea. @LemonCheesecake95 I would personally ease up in the iron supplements if I was very constipated. Eg I do take folic acid and vitamin d every other day and a pregnancy multivitamin with iron the other.

I don’t take any iron supplements! Currently taking folate, omega 3 and vitamin d. I was on inisotol and cq10 when trying to conceive. I’m also on metformin. Ah god I hope I dont have too much iron šŸ˜…

NewAgeDawning · 19/04/2026 21:58

Progesterone causes constipation. And we're all high on that !
If any of you are told you need iron supplements and they cause you digestive issues, then try spatone or floradix. They're much gentler on your gut and will get the job done šŸ™šŸ½

Alwaysgrowing · 20/04/2026 07:44

Thanks for the tip on stone and floradix. I know I'm geneticly prone to low iron anima. I had it in my first pregnancy when I wasn't taking iron supplements. The prescribed tablets were awful to digest. So im proactively taking iron My sisters and mum have had it at different levels in their lives not during pregnancy.

rach971 · 20/04/2026 08:54

My tummy is SO gurgly and noisy this morning (I've eaten so it's not that I'm hungry or anything). Wondering if this is another weird early pregnancy symptom šŸ˜‚

NewAgeDawning · 20/04/2026 09:11

@rach971haha ive been very gassy ConfusedGrin

ChuggleBugs · 20/04/2026 09:32

Just to confirm, I’m definitely out - tests have been fading out along with the bleeding.

Best of luck to you all - hope you all have the best Xmas present this year šŸ¤

Fingers crossed I’ll be back in a 2027 group soon!

NewAgeDawning · 20/04/2026 09:35

@ChuggleBugsahhh im so sorry, hopefully youll be back for 2027! Take care x

hollyhocks2 · 20/04/2026 09:37

@ChuggleBugs so sorry to hear it. Thank you for the well wishes and right back at you for a 2027 bubba. Look after yourself!

hollyhocks2 · 20/04/2026 09:43

@bluepurplegreen can't believe you're having twins, how amazing. Will they be your first children?

Alwaysgrowing · 20/04/2026 09:53

Sorry to hear that @ChuggleBugs. I had another very realistic feeling, depressing dream last night. I won't bore you with the details but I actually pinched myself to see if I was dreaming and it didn't hurt. I sometimes question if dreams are real in them but I've never done that before. I still convinced myself I was awake and just feeling numb. It's called lucid dreaming.

GladDenimGoose · 20/04/2026 09:58

I've had some light spotting yesterday evening and this morning and as much as I'm trying to not worry I can't help it. I'm 5 weeks 3 days. Any advice?

PhoenixSTL · 20/04/2026 10:16

@ChuggleBugs I'm so sorry to hear that. Please take care of yourself.

@GladDenimGoose unfortunately, I think it's a waiting game. Have you had any cramps as well? I had some light spotting about the same time, but it was only one or two wipes, and then nothing.

Em3009 · 20/04/2026 10:19

Hiya,

hoping I can join, I’ve just had my BFP after 18 months of trying for our first together 🄹 (I do have a 11 year old SD) I have no idea how far I am as I have PCOS so no cycle so very confused! šŸ˜…

hope you are all well 🩷 @

GladDenimGoose · 20/04/2026 10:24

@PhoenixSTL I've had twinges and a slight heavy feeling. I'm not sure i'd call them cramps and I usually have very painful periods. And it's only sometimes when I wipe. I'm away with work today but will be driving home this evening so trying to put it out of my mind but it's nigh on impossible. The worrying and waiting is terrible.

PhoenixSTL · 20/04/2026 10:26

@GladDenimGoose really hope you're able to distract yourself from worrying about it too much today šŸ˜” sending hugs and crossing my fingers that everything is fine for you.

HoneyPeaches · 20/04/2026 11:06

Hi everyone, can I join? I found out I was pregnant on 9th April (3 weeks 6 days). I have lot of anxiety around this pregnancy after having a miscarriage in November (prior to that, my partner and I had been trying for our first for almost 3 years with no success). I am 5 weeks, 3 days today and think I will be due around 18th December.

Lots of love to you all ā¤ļø

wonderlust07 · 20/04/2026 11:13

I had my scan this morning - saw a little heartbeat which was nice! They have given me progestrone now too

NewAgeDawning · 20/04/2026 11:28

@wonderlust07congratulations such a milestone! How are you feeling? Relieved no doubt. How many weeks are you? Xx

NewAgeDawning · 20/04/2026 11:29

@HoneyPeacheswelcome and congratulations!

NewAgeDawning · 20/04/2026 11:36

@Em3009those are really strong lines. Id say youre at least 5 weeks, maybe more even. Congratulations! Are you having an early scan at all?

wonderlust07 · 20/04/2026 11:51

NewAgeDawning · 20/04/2026 11:28

@wonderlust07congratulations such a milestone! How are you feeling? Relieved no doubt. How many weeks are you? Xx

6w1 day so roughly where I expected - maybe a couple of days out! Was a relief when she turned the screen to show me!

@Em3009 I did a cheeky test on saturday and my lines were as dark as the easy@home test you have there and I was 6 weeks.

Em3009 · 20/04/2026 12:01

@NewAgeDawning @wonderlust07

i honestly can’t believe it! Yes I think I am going to just so I can try figure it out! šŸ˜…šŸ™ˆ window to the womb say 2 weeks after a positive not sure I can wait that long!

hollyhocks2 · 20/04/2026 12:18

@GladDenimGoose we all totally understand how stressful it is but honestly light spotting, twinges and the heavy feeling are all very normal and not of concern. Proper cramping (more than a twinge) accompanied by red bleeding is obviously a different kettle of fish. What you're experiencing may well stop by tomorrow, or it may continue on and off but not cause any issues at all. Lots of women even have full on bleeding and it turns out that all is well with the pregnancy. Good luck getting through the next few days and once you're 6 weeks if you're still worried you can try getting referred to EPU (probably via your GP as first port of call).

@wonderlust07 that is amazing, well done!

@Em3009 such strong lines! I wouldn't be able to cope with not having any idea about how far along I was! Congrats and welcome to you and @HoneyPeaches it's scary in the early days but we can get through it together.

HoneyPeaches · 20/04/2026 12:21

Thank you @hollyhocks2the support on this forum is truly incredible.

@GladDenimGoose thinking of you and hope you are doing as well as possible. I have been having cramps on and off, some more intense than others and so naturally I’m very worried too. Here for you!

NewAgeDawning · 20/04/2026 12:29

Speaking of early scans I actually have a question for you ladies. I am due an nipt from the nhs because our previous pregnancy was affected by chromossomal abnormalities (we had a tfmr at 20 weeks)
I understand it can be done from 10 weeks so I got in touch with the midwives to book me in and my scan is in the diary for the 27th May. Ill be 12+3. I called to ask for it to be moved sooner, and they said the nipt is more accurate from 11 weeks onwards. Google said the same.
Im obviously wanting to know ASAP so do I beg the nhs to move the scan sooner (may not work) or do I get a private scan/nipt at 11 weeks? Would the nhs accept that? Or is waiting till im 12+3 not going to make a huge difference? It would costs us close to 500 quid which is money we could do with.
