@SunshineRose12 the main thing is to make sure you're taking folic acid and vitamin D. I'm taking proceive first trimester, as i was using proceive max for ttc

GladDenimGoose · 14/04/2026 23:04

@SunshineRose12 great to see you here too! I've just been taking separate tablets for folic acid and vit d - they're pretty cheap in boots / sainsburys. I'm not sure about taking marketed tablets for pregnancy with more stuff in them - ive heard they can make you feel sick

Ncl31 · 15/04/2026 07:01

Overthinking to the max! 26 hours until our scan and I’ve convinced myself we’re going to be told we’ve lost our baby :(
got a day at work to try and stay distracted, I just want to know either way now

Hugs I had a series of miscarriages and it was horrible thought processes.
This time I am trying not to overthink it. But man it is hard

PhoenixSTL · 15/04/2026 07:35

@Ncl31 sending hugs, hope your work day is able to keep you distracted

I’m sorry lovely, it’s so hard not to overthink. Try to keep as busy as you can til then x

Sa11yCinnamon · 15/04/2026 07:46

I’m back up to 2-3 with FMU. Definitely not testing again.

I also have a bit of spotting, which I had at exactly this stage of my last pregnancy so waiting for the EPU to open and I’ll call.

SunshineRose12 · 15/04/2026 07:58

@Ncl31 thinking of you today. Try and take it easy. Will keep my fingers crossed for you x

Thanks for all the vitamin recommendations - off to investigate further!

rach971 · 15/04/2026 10:50

@Ncl31 Same :( hugs xx

PhoenixSTL · 15/04/2026 11:13

Was feeling nauseous and headachy in the office today, so heading home. Taking a sick day if I don't feel better by the time I get back. Spoke with my manager about working from home for the next few weeks.

Kitty1989S · 15/04/2026 11:58

Very gently joining as I think I tested positive today (rainbow) due date would be NYE… does anyone else see the line? I’ve been praying and I think I see it

LixxieM · 15/04/2026 11:59

Lookingtogrowthefamily · 15/04/2026 12:08

Hope you’re both ok @rach971@Ncl31 it’s horrible having to wait and hope you can both find ways to distract yourselves.

I can definitely see a line there @Kitty1989S Xx

NewAgeDawning · 15/04/2026 12:55

@Ncl31not long left to go until you see little baby. Try to relax today and have every confidence all will be ok xx
@Kitty1989Si see it, congratulations.
So we now have a christmas day and a nye baby :)
@PhoenixSTLiI'm sorry nausea has ramped up for you. Have you told your manager youre expecting?

PhoenixSTL · 15/04/2026 13:19

@NewAgeDawning yes, I told my manager last week that I was pregnant. I think he forgot though, as he was asking what was wrong when I told him I was feeling rough today, and wanted to work from home for a few weeks šŸ˜…

NewAgeDawning · 15/04/2026 13:30

@PhoenixSTLhaha gotta love men sometimes
Hope you have an easier time today?

On the nausea front, my acupuncturist told me theres a acupressure point called pericardiium 6 that relieves it. It is found three fingers width down from your wrist. Try pressing it and see how you feel.

Definitely! Cautious congratulations šŸ’•

Sa11yCinnamon · 15/04/2026 13:34

I have a scan at EPU on Sunday morning so joining the anxious wait club, it’s the worst 😩

NewAgeDawning · 15/04/2026 13:35

@Sa11yCinnamonwe're right here waiting with you. How are you feeling? Its good your test has gone back up now. Fmu makes a big difference x

Sa11yCinnamon · 15/04/2026 13:37

@NewAgeDawning that’s a lovely thing to say, thanks! I’m more stressed than I thought I’d be given it’s pretty much exactly what happened in my last pregnancy. That stupid test made me spiral, I’m annoyed I did it!

NewAgeDawning · 15/04/2026 13:40

@Sa11yCinnamonits an anxious time as it is. That sort of thing doesnt help but its v normal so dont feel bad youre not as relaxed as youd like to be.
also urine hcg levels are so dependant on how your body metabolites it. Doesn't mean much really, try to look at it in terms of im pregnant or no not pregnant. And youre very much pregnant!

rach971 · 15/04/2026 14:49

I think it's the fact I have no symptoms now either other than slightly tender nipples šŸ™ˆšŸ˜‚ With my two girls, the nausea was fairly constant throughout the first trimester. I'll just be glad to have the scan and know what's going on

howluckyarewe · 15/04/2026 15:17

@SunshineRose12 the main thing to check is your multivitamin has the more easily digested folic acid. Methylfolate & folic acid are both forms of the same vitamin, but some women can't turn folic acid in to what the body needs. Methyfolate is a better bet for vitamins - it's what's in most upper end prenatals.

Some prenatals make you feel sick if the iron content is too high for you as well. It can slow digestion and cause that nauseous feeling!

For stretch marks, it's the last week or two that catch you unfortunately. 🫠 I used all the creams and I have them from ankle to ribcage. Rosehip oil and hyaluronic acid are the best I've heard - the ordinary do cheap ones.

NewAgeDawning · 15/04/2026 15:33

@howluckyareweim sure genetics also play a part where stretch marks are concerned sadly

Purplerocket · 15/04/2026 16:23

Hi everyone

Cautiously joining with an EDD of 21st Dec. I've already had a phone call to book an FOQ appointment (not sure what this is but she mentioned blood tests and taking height and weight) for next week and a booking appointment for the week after.

It's just over a year since I'd had a miscarriage between 6 and 7 weeks and everything is moving a lot faster this time! They mentioned last time about the possibility of an early reassurance scan for the next pregnancy - has anyone else had this on the NHS?

Fingers crossed to all those nervously waiting for scans šŸ¤ž
