thread number two for us, thank you again for all being so lovely and supportive. I still can’t believe, after all those years and all the upset… are babies are on their way ♥️

@Nosejug how are you?

im fuming. Had contractions last night for 7+hours. Went to MLU at 2am. Contractions stopped. Got home at 5am.

and before I left and tried to do everything to get them to stop… I had two baths, tried to go to sleep etc etc to check they were real. They carried on being regular and getting closer together. So I dunno why my body keeps doing this.

so now I’m grumpy. And tired. And have told the baby if he makes me wait until my induction next Thursday I’m selling all
his things and he will have to sleep in a cardboard box until he’s 18.

Just a bit exhausted to read and reply properly, but our baby girl was delivered at 3:30 am this morning. She’s had a little help with breathing and antibiotics, but nothing major and no signs of infection. She’s about to get a little colostrum by mouth, managing to express a mm very so often hehe. It feels quite wonderful when she’s on my chest, sadly only gotten to do that twice so far but hopefully again after I’ve got another little snatch of sleep!x

@pastelheart sorry you are going through more contractions for them to stop .. it’s must be really frustrating and also your body and mind will be exhausted with it all .. I really do hope he arrives before your induction for him, I did giggle at the cardboard box though 😅.. but seriously hope next time it will be it this time 💛

@AmberRose26it was quite nice to spend the whole night in our own bed last night lol. I have just got it in my head now that he will be here end of next week and I will be induced! And unless my waters break I’m not going to hospital… watch me have this baby on our bedroom floor now 😂

@Sara237 I know, this baby is so naughty. I was soooo grumpy yesterday, I went to Tesco and normally I would be kind and walk around people but not a chance, I wasn’t doing those extra steps to make someone’s else’s shopping trip easier lol

I am deadly serious about the box 🧐😂

off to have my third sweep this morning, can’t wait 🙃😳

also, my partner is a bodybuilder and coach/PT etc… all his clients have been buying presents for the baby and the baby basically has a full gym of toy equipment 😂😂 he’s got so many dumbbells… not a single normal toy just gym stuff it’s so funny xx

@Nosejugsuch wonderful news, huge congratulations! Really thrilled for you. Enjoy getting to know your little one in these early days. It took me a full hour to extract each ml of colostrum in hospital so well done for getting going with it!

how is everyone?

had a growth scan today… it was requested 2.5 weeks ago but I didn’t hear anything so I had a call this afternoon saying… “are you in labour you missed your scan?”

firstly- stop taking the piss about me being in labour 🙄
secondly- no one told me I had a scan lol

but they told me to come in so was nice seeing our naughty baby again (seriously it’s got to be the last scan now?!)

anyway he’s about 8lb 7oz so a nice size and not too big even with the extra cooking!

induction Thursday and not expecting anything to happen before then and have made peace with that and I’m just napping and eating lots of nice food until then! xox

@pastelheart not long now and you will near your induction date .. a light at the end of the tunnel I guess.

@SarahAndQuack was reading on the other chat you have your date booked! Super exciting , just thought ad reply on this chat to save going back and forward 😅
@Sara237 also read on the other chat about your monitoring .. glad all is well and might not be long now if you are having tightening and diarrhoea a sign of maybes the start of labour prep as others have said.

@SarahAndQuack yeah scan was good, the lady doing it was really lovely and showed us everything she was checking including the placenta and umbilical cord blood flow, she said that was all looking good still! And she thinks he has my chin and lips lol 😂

@AmberRose26 not long at all, just two more sleeps! I am wondering if I will need more clothes/loungewear/pjs for myself if I am being induced? As could be there longer? I currently have two nighties, two lots of pjs and a loungewear set for coming home. Do you think I need anymore? Xx

@pastelheart not sure .. I would pack extra pants / socks and a bra just incase .. they won’t take up much room in your bag ?!

I have been having a really dull /warm /crampy/ tender feeling right at my pubic bone for the last 20 /30 mins .. it’s about a 3/10 sore .. can feel baby moving there gently away not strong kicks just gentle movement, I wonder if it’s just the head engaging .. it’s a continuous feeling not coming and going so it’s not contractions as such .. not sure should I call midwife or is this normal - I am 36+ 4 ? It’s really low down under my bump if you know what I mean like just above pubic hair line.

@AmberRose26good shout, I have just ordered some more PJs/loungwear but I think I will keep that in the car and then my partner can grab it if I need it

i remember getting an achey feeling very low down when baby started to be engaged. Maybe call triage and run it past them if you are worried? Better to double check xx

@pastelheart it eased off after about an hour .. feel ok now but getting lots of lightning crotch and peed about 7 times in an hour n half so I think she has moved further down there. .. which I good ..😁 hopefully fully engaged now !

@pastelheart So close! It's supposed to get hotter so I'd maybe pack something light you can easily pull over your head as well as a small fan? I'm getting one tomorrow as I was really hot on the ward at the weekend which wasn't even a hot day! Plus snacks, plenty of snacks!
@AmberRose26 Sounds like things are lining up for you. Ah, the endless peeing, I've literally just been and already trying to ignore the feelings already!
@SarahAndQuack hope you're feeling ok and resting up. Your DD must be excited.

I had scan today and they said there was too much fluid. Consultant calling me tomorrow. Feeling a sense of dread...not been sleeping well anyway and now more worry. Trying to stay positive.

@Sara237 have they said what the plan would be then for this ? Would they want to start you / break waters ? How many weeks are you now ? Were you booked for c section or were you vaginal birth ? Sorry can’t remember. Hope you are ok and at least they are aware and keeping an eye on it 💛

@pastelheart only a matter of hours now for you ! eekkk how are you feeling ? If I don’t get a chance to message later I just want to say good luck for tomorrow! will be thinking of you and looking forward to your update when you are ready with the wonderful news 💛

@AmberRose26 glad it eased off, it’s so hard to figure out what’s normal or what’s to be worried about isn’t it. I have had lots of pain the last couple of days in my pelvis and bottom of my bump but have put it down to baby being super super low!
omgggggg I can’t believe it’s just one more sleep!! I am feeling good, I have spent the last couple of days literally just napping. And today I have sorted things in the house- so it’s all nice for when we come home, washed my new PJs/lounge sets so they smell lovely, triple checked my bag etc so feeling a bit more in control which had been good. Just got to wait for a call tomorrow before 3pm to tell us to go in! I will update as I am able to xoxox

@Sara237. Eeeeeee so close now! Such a good idea, I did order some vest tops so packing those and already got my fan (well it’s the babies but I have been borrowing it lol) and ordered new pjs/lounge sets but so I can wear them with the vest tops if it’s hot. And we have snacks too! I guess they will feed me meals though? Who knows lol 😂

I will update everyone when I can but… see you on the other side! I honestly can’t believe I have ALMOST got my baby in my arms (or that he had made me wait this long 🙄) cannot wait for all the drugs and the epidural 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 going to have so much fun! xx
