a BOY!

A healthy baby boy so far.

21 weeks along, all organs fine.

Couldn't believe how it, even though it was so obvious even I could tell. Made the sonographer go over it twice.

Yep, it's a boy.

A bit shocked, because I was pretty certain it was a girl.

But it's definitely a boy.

Congratulations!

Why do other peoples pregnancies go so much fast than your own?

expatinscotland · 13/06/2008 20:38

oh, this pregnancy will start dragging after dd1's nursery finishes up and i become sole entertainer of a 5 and 2-year-old.

How nice to have both flavours

WinkyWinkola · 13/06/2008 20:42

It's wonderful that you'll get to experience being a mum to both genders. Brilliant news!

RUMPEL · 13/06/2008 20:43

Yay EXPAT - many congrats - so glad all is well.xxx

oxocube · 13/06/2008 20:44

how lovely . I have 2 boys and a girl - I love having both.

oxocube · 13/06/2008 20:46

My youngest ds has just broken his arm for the third time (at 6 yrs old). When the nurses in casualty asked him how it happened, he said "Well, I'm a little wild!"
That's boys for you!

whomovedmychocolate · 13/06/2008 20:46

I hate to say I told you so but I did

Congrats.

Thought for a minute you were going to confess to triplets!

doggiesayswoof · 13/06/2008 20:47

oh congrats expat! My surprise boy is just 3 weeks old and I already love having a boy (after dd)

Let me know if you would like some baby clothes - I got given a load of boy stuff for a winter baby (fleecy all-in-ones and the like), so my ds can't use them, but since you're due in Oct they might be just right for your wee boy.

Struan is a great name btw.

auntyspan · 13/06/2008 20:48

Brill expat. Here's to a penis in the family!

doggiesayswoof · 13/06/2008 20:50

I still marvel at ds's little penis and HUUUUUGE balls at every nappy change.

onepieceoflollipop · 13/06/2008 20:50

Lovely news, congratulations.

eekamoose · 13/06/2008 21:09

Tis not so much huuuuuuuge balls as huuuuuuuge sack to keep them in, though, dontcha think? Or was my DS unlucky in that department? All that wrinkly skin lolloping around all over the place was an eye-opener for me.

[disclaimer: ds now 4.8, neat and tidy in the downstairs department these days].

LyraSilvertongue · 13/06/2008 21:12

Brilliant news! Congratulations! Boys are great.

RipMacWinkle · 13/06/2008 21:14

Oh congratulations!!! How lovely for your two DDs to have a wee brother to fuss over.

Struan is gorg but I believe I've fawned over your DC names before....

YeahBut · 13/06/2008 21:15

Lovely!
Had ds after two dds. It's different, but wonderful.
