a BOY!

A healthy baby boy so far.

21 weeks along, all organs fine.

Couldn't believe how it, even though it was so obvious even I could tell. Made the sonographer go over it twice.

Yep, it's a boy.

A bit shocked, because I was pretty certain it was a girl.

But it's definitely a boy.

I had a boy after two girls as well.

Twas fab (even though I secretly wanted another girl and was tres disappointed that HE was coming along...)

glad all is well

expatinscotland · 13/06/2008 17:40

He's due on 24 October.

I had the girls at 38+6 and 38+2 so who knows.

I said, 'Omg, it's a boy.'

Then she was taking the rest of the measurements and finished up and I said, 'Can we see his bits again, I can't believe it's a boy.'

Oooooooooh, how lovely. I had a surprise DS after a surpise DD. Am jealous cos if I'd had a third baby I'd have to admit I'd have secretly wanted another boy. Boys are great (and so are girls of course).

TMI possibly but one thing you might want to know about boys: when they are very small and do the runny yellow poo stuff, if its cold, their little balls wrinkle up when you take the nappy off and tis a devil to get the runny yellow poo out of the scrotal wrinkles! Oh the joys. Am still jealous .

OrmIrian · 13/06/2008 17:41

Yay! My boys are lovely ...worrying, boisterous and exhausting, but lovely . DD is also lovely but you already know about girls.

MamaG · 13/06/2008 17:42

Probably not then expat - I was 40+10 and 40+11 with my first two

expatinscotland · 13/06/2008 17:43

DH is pretty chuffed. I think he secretly wanted a boy.

Congratulations Expat. I know how you feel, the shock of a boy after 2 girls, but boys are fab!!

Im doing car boot sales this weekend to get rid of all daniels little stuff. If it doesnt sell, please let me send some to oyu for your little one.

EffiePerine · 13/06/2008 17:44

Congratulations

DumbledoresGirl · 13/06/2008 17:45

Fantastic Expat! I really wanted to read you were having a boy when I saw your thread title.

As a mother of 3 boys and 1 girl, I think it is lovely to get experience of both kinds!

seb1 · 13/06/2008 17:46

Did they have nice boys things in Adams then?

DumbledoresGirl · 13/06/2008 17:46

Would you consider calling him David by any chance?

LazyLinePainterJane · 13/06/2008 17:48

congrats expat

am going for 20 week scan next week too.

boys are delicious!

expatinscotland · 13/06/2008 17:49

NO! DG, especially because he might be born in . . . Paisley!

seb, Adams had a sale on for school uniform gear! I got Dd1 3 polos, 2 tshirts (to tye dye in the summer holidays), three pairs of trousers and two skirts and 2 tshirts for Dd2 (to tye dye) and it only came to a little over £30.
