Hey folks. Thought I’d set up a thread for those expecting in September next year. I got my bfp yesterday at 10dpo on Christmas Day 🄹. I think my due date would be around 6th September. It would be nice to keep in touch with some ladies going through similar things. Xxx

I’m feeling a bit upset. This pregnancy is so different to my previous 2 which were pretty great! I had horrible sickness early on and have been taking antisickness meds. I thought I might be past that point now as my sickness was under control so I stopped the meds for a day… and was vomming by 10am! Never had this before. I’m also exhausted still, out of breath from doing anything and have lower back pain and pelvic pressure! Plus I’ve had a couple of bleeds (they think it’s my cervix, baby looks fine thankfully).

I loved being pregnant and had great births before, and now this pregnancy feels like a real trial. I got a pang of jealousy when I heard about an acquaintance having her baby at 35 weeks (I know that’s bad and could be dangerous for the baby!) because I am just keen to get to the end of this one. Im not used to feeling fragile and weak!

Hope you are all feeling the wonderful surge of energy keep reading I should be getting around now haha!

Sorry you're feeling so rubbish! How many weeks are you? I was on antisickness meds too this time when I didn't need them in my previous pregnancy and have been way more tired than last time too! Pelvic and hip pain already started too, way earlier than before. I've also got some...less than glamorous symptoms this time round šŸ˜‚šŸ˜©
Just some solidarity and know that you're not alone! šŸ’

Same here. Baby number 4 and I feel like it's been one horrible symptom after another. Coming up to 18 weeks and have had the most horrendous post nasal drip since day one. I've just finished a course of antibiotics for an ear infection but I've been finished them for 48 hours and my ear is starting to hurt again. Also repeated thrush making me constantly uncomfortable. I actually made a list on my phone the other day so that if I ever get the idea to do this again I don't forget how crap it can be. Trying to just concentrate on getting to the end and holding that baby on my chest. Know you're not alone. It can be really rubbish. Especially when you're still waiting for all the cute bits like the kicking and movement. Those are the bits I love but they're taking ages to come around!

Baby1222 · 08/04/2026 12:19

@Potatomashed I feel the exact same! My first 2 pregnancies I had some sickness but this time is awful in comparison! Ive been on 3 types of antisickness tablets since 7 weeks and finally the 3rd type helped a lot..they ran out last week at 15weeks and I thought I'd be grand to stop them and it was right back to how it was before so I had to get more tablets! So scared of trying to stop them again after that.
Ive also had sore knees and a sore hip plus cramps and pain almost daily which means I have constant anxiety aswel! Its all so much harder than my other pregnancies and I am definitely wishing the time away and then feeling bad about it. I also have no energy to play with my kids and feel so guilty about that too! Hopefully it gets easier soon šŸ¤ž

Good to know I’m not alone in having a less enjoyable subsequent pregnancy! I have been feeling movements since about 9-10 weeks which is nice. I can also sometimes feel the baby’s position in my belly (his head keeps pushing up at the top and you can feel it like a ping pong ball weirdly!).

Hope you all start to feel better soon 🌺 The summer is coming which at least means parenting the older kids more enjoyable!

Hi, hope everyone is getting on okay in the second trimester 🩷 I’m 17 weeks and haven’t felt baby move yet, it’s my second pregnancy and I’m sure I started feeling movements around this time with my first. I have a posterior placenta too. When did others start feeling movements?

GLizzie88 · 16/04/2026 17:28

Ah that’s good to know I’m not the only one! I feel I’m constantly waiting to feel movement.

Is there a WhatsApp group to join? I think mentioned one earlier but can’t find the link

camelinastorm · 17/04/2026 08:29

@GLizzie88 hi I am also ivf pregnancy and it still doesn’t feel real. I’m 16 weeks today so just behind you, but due to my age I will be induced at 38 weeks. I have no tips to give, I’m struggling to eat a meal in the evening but that’s all I have up to now.

ErickBroch · 17/04/2026 09:20

I haven’t posted in a while - I’m 18 weeks today and have an anterior placenta so doubt I’ll be feeling anything for a good few weeks yet. Have been doing well just had pelvic girdle pain already on my upper bum!

LuckyDuck93 · 17/04/2026 10:00

@Clueless13 i'm exactly the same, although this is my first pregnancy, no movements for me yet.
@GLizzie88 congratulations, what a journey for you ā¤

Realised I posted in here last month to say things weren't looking good due to high nt measurement and other markers but turns out all tests came back fine and everything looked good at the 16-week anatomy scan and heart scan! going back for another set of scans at 21 weeks.

17 weeks and no movements felt yet but also have anterior placenta.

appleandcheese · 17/04/2026 15:26

Hi everyone, I’m new to this thread! 16+6 with baby number 3, and feeling like a whale already! Nausea still sticking around which I’m hoping goes soon. I hope everyone else is doing ok, this pregnancy malarkey can be such hard work, but so worth it. šŸ’›

DefiantRabbit9 · 19/04/2026 19:22

I'm due 2nd of September! When's your anomaly scan due?

Has anyone managed to find any decent maternity jeans?! I'm about to give up!! They're all tight, not stretchy or cut in under the bump! Anyone found any decent (not insanely priced!) jeans?! šŸ™

19 weeks with my second and this last week I've felt really nauseous in the evenings and overnight. It's the first time I've suffered from it so I'm not sure why it's come on at 18 weeks. Does anyone have any tips please as I'm struggling to sleep and have a toddler that still wakes multiple times then is up for the day at 6 x
