Hey folks. Thought I’d set up a thread for those expecting in September next year. I got my bfp yesterday at 10dpo on Christmas Day 🄹. I think my due date would be around 6th September. It would be nice to keep in touch with some ladies going through similar things. Xxx

Anyone else feeling kinda low during pregnancy... Just hit 12 weeks 5 days ... However this pregnancy I have felt really low. I am excited but this is my third and I have two girls already so it's riding on a lot to have a boy.

Neenamonz93 · 23/02/2026 19:46

We had our 12week scan today and thank goodness everything went well. they had originally booked me in for next week but I have something on this weekend that I knew I couldn’t hide not drinking so I phoned to see could I get it moved and they were able to take me today thank goodness. I do have quite a few friend groups an i knew once I told one person I was going to have to tell them all but my mums kind of making me feel like I shouldn’t be telling anyone yet. At what stage have yous shared your news x

Neenamonz93 · 23/02/2026 19:51

@Zaalfruit I have been so emotional this last few nights like I have cried uncontrollably and I haven’t really got a reason to. I think the weather is playing an awful part for me as it has not stopped raining and Iv also been really letting my housework slip and I think that’s really playing on me too. We just have to remember this feeling isn’t forever and it’s not us it’s our hormones lol I hope you feel better soon. Go easy on yourself xx

Hi everyone , just wondered how everyone is doing with their appetite ? I am coming up 10 weeks and I really thought my hunger would subside but it really hasn’t and all my cravings have such bad food sugary food. I’m talking dougnuts, salt and vinegar crisps (can’t get enough of those bad boys) and just real naughty bad foods. I would eat so healthy before , but the thought of fruit and veggies just makes my stomach curl. I just wondered how everyone else is doing? If I don’t eat I will get so nauseous the only thing that stops me feeling sick is eating.

I have been eating so so so bad. I’m wakening up in the middle of the night STARVING and I have to get up and make toast or pancakes or I will be sick. I am living off bread. I have no motivation to cook and I’m also still really nauseous at smells and when I need to eat I need to eat right away so I usually haven’t time to prep 🫠 I’m really hoping this passes soon

Not told anyone at all yet. Won’t until we’ve had our NIPT results and our 12 week scan. I think that’s very unusual now but if anything were to happen I want to manage it privately. To be honest I wish I could wait until after 20 weeks but even I don’t think I could hide it from our Mum’s until then.

I talk to my Mum every day so it’s felt like living a double life. It’s been very lonely actually, and I think has made it all feel much less real, but I don’t regret the decision. Glad your scan went well!

I don’t have my 12 week scan until Friday. We told our closest friend and his wife at 5 weeks, and our parents and siblings following us seeing the heartbeat at 7 weeks. I felt that I wanted a few people to know so I could have support if anything did happen. We’re planning on telling wider family and the rest of our friends after the scan on Friday when I will be 12+5.

I’m the same - if I could get away with not telling anyone until 20 weeks, I would. Generally it’s been fine, but me and my mum swim together once a week and it’s getting increasingly hard to suck in my ever growing waistline every time she sees me in my swimming costume!

LuckyDuck93 · 24/02/2026 08:56

@Neenamonz93 I feel exactly the same, no motivation to cook anything, even the thought of it makes me feel sick. I'm ready for this feeling to subside and to enjoy cooking again!

@ripleynot I feel somewhat the same, there's part of me that wants to tell everyone but also I would protect the news until I was ready to give birth if I could, its so nice to have a little bubble

ErickBroch · 24/02/2026 11:35

I’m 10+4 today and my symptoms have eased so much. Feeling more alive, and can eat vegetables again! Had my NIPT on Sunday and a scan that showed the foetus at 10+2 and was looking well. My dating scan isn’t until 13 weeks so this was good to have.

A friend of ours has just announced her pregnancy at 5 weeks - I’m planning on telling friends and family soon around 12. Some friends do know already for support.

Pandadream · 24/02/2026 14:46

I’m just over 11 weeks and today is the first day I feel a bit human. It has been so nauseous that I’ve been on meds and still cannot drag myself even sit up or change out of pjs for the last 4-5 weeks. I am hoping this is an upward trajectory in terms of feeling better and I wanted to share this also to give hopes to people who may still feel awful in the first trimester, there is hope and that can change almost quite suddenly the next day.
stay strong and maybe tomorrow you will get better too!

My little bean was measuring 5 days ahead and was exactly 12 weeks at the scan. Due date is 4.09.26 anybody else? 🄰 also does anybody do the nub theory and fancy having a guess for fun? šŸ’™šŸ’—

I had my 12 week(12weeks1 day) scan last Thursday and everything was fine, such a relief. Baby was measuring ahead by 3 days so put me at 12 weeks4days, this made my EDD move from September 2nd to August 30th.

We have only just told My Mam,Dad and Sister/partner the weekend just gone and we are going to tell my boyfriends Mam this coming weekend. I am going to try to hold off telling anybody else until I really have too.

Such beautiful profile of your little one. I am going to guess a boy.

I put mine into chat gpt last week and it said I am having a girl. I am happy either way But we will see at my next scan.

I had a private NIPT test at 10w4d on Wednesday. Really struggling with the waiting for results - my sister in law had a TFMR last year so I know all too well what the outcomes may be. I was so happy after we saw the baby wiggling around like crazy at the scan, but that’s faded now and I’m back to thinking the worst.

If anyone else on this thread is also waiting for results - sending love.

ErickBroch · 27/02/2026 15:29

I also had my NIPT the other day at 10+2. Just had our results and all low risk for the main three and nothing for the other markers. He sent me the report but I don’t want to know the sex so I can’t open it! Ha.

Pandadream · 27/02/2026 15:41

Where are you ladies get your NIPT done? I’m waiting for my 12 weeks scan. If all well, I’m thinking of getting one done as well.

We did ours at imaginatal, but Window to the Womb is the other place we looked at!

They said results were on Fridays. Had ours Sunday and it could’ve been today or next Friday depending on how busy they were.

Thanks! Was there any reason you didn’t choose window to womb?

Hi everyone, I hope its OK for me to join in! I'm a bit of a longtime lurker on mumsnet but don't post much!

I'm 10+5 and honestly so miserable and feeling like a broken record to my family! The exhaustion is still there despite going to bed at 8 every night. I'm so hungry but also got food aversions so don't want to eat anything, and the nausea is practically all day (though no vomiting so I'm grateful for that).

This pregnancy has hit me so much harder than my last (I have a DS who is 2 and a half) and we found out that it's twins at 9 weeks which explains why everything is twice as bad! I'm so grateful to be pregnant but also so done already!! Anxiety is eating up every space in my brain 😢

Not sure what I'm hoping to gain from posting, but sharing with people that might be feeling similar is helpful! I'm glad to see that some of you guys are starting to feel a bit better! Gives me a bit of hope haha!

Congratulations! Glad you posted. I don't know if I can make you feel better but you've made me feel better. I feel so so crap. Honestly completely get what you say about the broken record to your family. I feel so bad all I've done is moan and complain for the last 2 months. Same thing too. All day relentless nausea plus I've been battling migraines and worrying about those. I finally have my scan this week and I'm so anxious about it. I think I'm 12 weeks this week and I'm just praying that these symptoms will begin to ease off because honestly I'm not sure how much more I can take. On top of normal nausea misery I've also got a horrible viral thing so I'm absolutely full of cold and headaches and can't take anything but paracetamol to help. I want to hibernate until the sun comes out and I don't feel like crap anymore! So sorry to harp on about myself but hopefully it'll help to know you're not alone! We can do this though. Brighter days are coming!

LunaBear26 · 01/03/2026 18:59

@Dontbeaneejit I hope your scan goes well! Mine's not til next Friday so 2 weeks to wait! Our 9 week scan was meant to reassure us that it wasn't twins (my sister had been going on about it!), but then actually confirmed it so... 🤣 now I'm even more anxious worrying about 2, not 1!
