Hey folks. Thought I’d set up a thread for those expecting in September next year. I got my bfp yesterday at 10dpo on Christmas Day 🥹. I think my due date would be around 6th September. It would be nice to keep in touch with some ladies going through similar things. Xxx

Has anyone else had their dating scan scheduled for 13 weeks? Mine has been booked for the afternoon of when I'm 13w 5d and the cut off at my hospital for the combined testing is 13w 6w. I'm spiralling now thinking I may miss it if they change my due date ( which they did by 3 days for my last pregnancy). I can't understand why it's been booked for so late :(

Hi everyone , just wondered how everyone is doing with their appetite ? I am coming up 10 weeks and I really thought my hunger would subside but it really hasn’t and all my cravings have such bad food sugary food. I’m talking dougnuts, salt and vinegar crisps (can’t get enough of those bad boys) and just real naughty bad foods. I would eat so healthy before , but the thought of fruit and veggies just makes my stomach curl. I just wondered how everyone else is doing? If I don’t eat I will get so nauseous the only thing that stops me feeling sick is eating.

@Tealover11 i have the opposite problem - I have absolutely zero appetite. I’m having to force down food and I’m taking no pleasure in any of it. 9 weeks yesterday and it’s making me miserable, so strange to never feel hungry or fancy food. It can’t be good for the pregnancy and I think it must be the cause of some of my exhaustion which is starting to become chronic.

I’m so sorry you’re struggling too, even if in the opposite way.

Anyone else struggling with the wait to the 12w scan?? Mines booked for the 5th March when ill be 12+2.
I had a scan at 5+6 and 7+4 due to spotting. Saw heartbeat and baby measured bang on both times.
I'm now 9+5 and had been doing okay. Until today.
Now all of a sudden I'm thinking, it's been 2 weeks since my last scan, I've still got nearly 3 weeks to go, what if somethings gone wrong since my last scan, or the fact that it's still such a long time til my 12w scan....
Tempted to book a private scan to break up the wait, but not sure if im just being OTT...
Struggling with the waiting!!!

Mine isn’t until 13+4! Just got told that’s the window. We are booking a private NIPT so we get a scan with that, I’m going to do it between 10-11 weeks so very soon.

Ouch, I got quite lucky with my date then!! That's good you don't have long to wait, I'm so tempted to book one for next weekend, then it's less than 2 weeks until the official, but can't make my mind up whether I can be tough enough to wait it out...! Xx

Have you tried the EPU again, ours gave me 3 early reassurance scans although a bit reluctant on the 3rd they were really understanding of my anxiety because of my history xx just worth a try before you pay x

I'm really struggling waiting til mine. I've not had any reassurance scans or anything so anything could happen at the 12 week one and I am quite apprehensive. Tbh though all the worry is second on my mind to how absolutely awful I feel. I am so so sick. This is the worst I've felt by far in my pregnancies. I'm only 9+4 and the thought of another 3 weeks of this at least is killing me 😭

I just want to feel human again. I can't remember what it feels like to not feel like I'm going to throw up any second. It's awful

My scan is I believe when I am 12+6 and I’m only 8+1 so still an age away!
spent yesterday in hospital as severely dehydrated due to sickness so was given fluids, have been so ill it’s unreal. Forgot what it was like with my first 🤮🤢

@Tealover11 I'm exactly the same, can't stomach the thought of any healthy food at all, a lot of crackers and crisps!!

I feel you. I just wanna be human again… some things we take for granted in the past… I’m just hoping it will get better after 12 weeks.

So sorry to hear you have to be hospitalised! Can they give you some meds to help? I was very nauseous so GP gave me some stuff and it helps a lot but it kinda makes me a total zombie on the other hand..

@Pandadream so I was already on two meds but still so sick! Hospital gave me a new prescription for Xonvea but didn’t write it properly, so pharmacy refused to fill it!!! Waiting to get it sorted so got a rough few days ahead still! Officially diagnose with hyperemesis again though 😬

Good luck with Xonvea and hospital allows it, ask for longer period, I’m on it but they only give me 20 tablets a times and only lasts 10 days. I heard good things about Xonvea but personal experience is the first few days to a couple of weeks, there are a lot of side effects. However they are still better than being nausea / vomit! Good luck!! Hope it works for you!

My 12 week scan is booked for 12th March. Ill be 13 weeks. We had a private scan at 7 weeks and i said to my partner today I just wish we could have another one. It feels like ages to wait.
Ive also been really unwell with a sickness/diarrhoea bug since friday night.
So thats made me anxious.
On the bright side, I was severely constipated but have emptied out and weigh 4 pounds lighter.
Ive been craving healthy stuff. I dont fancy chocolate at all but ate an entire plate of broccoli for dinner one night.
The exhaustion is killing me. Had my booking appt with midwife last week. She did say age played a huge factor in my symptoms being worse this time round.

I’m now 11+1. We got the results back for our NIPT back earlier - everything low risk and we found out we are having a little boy 🥹

For the past week or so I keep getting the WORSE stabbing pains in my boobs, the pain is very short but very intense. Happens every 10 minutes or so. Has anyone else had this? Is there anything I can do to relieve it?

I've heard that xonvea is quite effective forstopping actual vomitting but doesn't do as much for the nausea? Anyone on it know whether this is accurate? I don't want to ask for it if I'm still going to feel sick all day as sometimes actually throwing up is the only relief.

No stabbing pains exactly but my boobs have been quite tender and sore. Not sure there's much you can do except ride out that little wave of hormone as they stretch out a bit. Sucks though. I've already got back pain which doesn't bode well and my neck and shoulders are really sore but I've probably pulled something throwing up and I'm holding my shoulders up tense because I just feel awful all day. 10 weeks on Wednesday I think and I'm hoping I'll be over the peak of 1st trimester misery by then!

I’m on Xonvea for nausea, never actually vomit, only dry heaves. Personal experience is it does help, especially after a few weeks however personally I experienced a lot of side effect, such as muscle fatigue, headache, sleepiness, dry mouth. At the beginning, first week or so, I was like being hit by a bus anc can literally sleep all day and all night except for food. Now I’m about 3-4 weeks in, I am okay stay awake and much better, still feel weak and don’t wanna do anything. My nausea isn’t too bad with the meds. Quite manageable but the side effect is still uncomfortable. I dare not come off it as I don’t know what the alternative would be, I am taking two at night. I’ve researched and did say coming off can be hard… anyway my verdict is it works but depends what you are willing to trade off. I was offered Xonvea straight away so didn’t try other meds. I spoke to a GP later and he did suggest me to try other meds, those off label one, I dare not, as Xonvea is working for me to a degree and all meds have their side effect, I don’t wanna more disruption than necessary, since the like good is I’ll feel shit one way or another.
sorry I don’t think I’m that help but I feel if it is tolerable, then I wouldn’t bother with meds but if not, Xonvea is worth a try. Good luck!

9+4 here. Had my first midwife appoint this morning which went fine. Have just booked a private NIPT for 10+2.

My algorithms seem to be showing me constant horrible news and loss and nothing else. You think you can breathe and it’s 10 things about a ‘missed miscarriage’ - so can’t even look forward to my next scan as just expecting that now.

@ErickBroch I had the same conversation with a colleague the other day, social media is great, but sometimes you can know too much can't you, it seems like as soon as you've watched one thing on it your whole algorithm changes and that's all you see

I feel exactly the same. It’s overwhelming. When you look at the stats those things are very unlikely but it seems to happen to every person I see online, so I just feel resigned to that happening to me.

Yep same. Deleted Instagram for that reason and it's really helped with anxiety.

Ahh so sorry you are all going through the same!! I know it can happen of course, but the prevalence of content makes me think it’s GOING to happen! can’t feel excited yet at all.
