Hey folks. Thought I’d set up a thread for those expecting in September next year. I got my bfp yesterday at 10dpo on Christmas Day 🄹. I think my due date would be around 6th September. It would be nice to keep in touch with some ladies going through similar things. Xxx

I’m just over seven weeks and also feeling absolutely awful. Constant nausea that peaks morning and evening. Struggling to drink enough water as it makes me feel so sick! Only thing working for me at the moment is salted crackers and Ribeena. Not sure how long these symptoms should last! With my first I had nausea until 16 weeks but I’m sure it started much later. This kicked in about 5.5 weeks?! Hope everyone else is going ok and sorry for those who’ve had bad news or dealing with the unknowns of the first trimester

OMG, same here, started just after 5 weeks. It’s ridiculous! I’ll give ribeena a try. I’m so desperate now! Are you taking any meds or just soldering through?

Dontbeaneejit · 07/02/2026 19:47

Another one suffering. 8+3 roughly and nausea is destroying my will to live. 4th pregnancy and although I'm actually vomiting less with this one I'm so sure the nausea is far worse. If nothing else this is at least good closure because I am never doing this again 🤢 just praying there isn't another 5 weeks of this. I won't cope. Terrified to go on any sickness meds and I've heard they're more effective for actual vomiting than nausea. I did buy the expert midwife "ease the quease" melts. My routine atm is to wake up and take one of those before I even get up. Then get out of bed and my DH (God bless him) brings me toast and a coffee. That seems to help me at least function in the morning long enough to get up dressed and to work. Then it's snacks all day at my desk and dry heaving in the toilets in-between. It'll be a miracle if no one has worked out I'm expecting šŸ™„

What’s this ā€œease and questā€ melts?!!
you are a saint not telling anymore, I had to tell my manager as I’m literally housebound! I’m with you, I can’t keep going like this, bless the DH, I was so unwell yesterday and I blurred that I can’t go on. He was taking seriously and getting quite sad!!

Neenamonz93 · 07/02/2026 22:35

@SilverLining87 it is so horrible. I cried last-night as I was just so uncomfortable my poor husband doesn’t know what to do with me. I have had this issue before pregnancy and iv been to the doctor 100 times and like that they keep prescribing fibogel and I feel like it does nothing for me. I went to the chemist and they give me lactulose and I took some over the last couple of nights and still not much movement and iv really tried to up my water so I’m just going to have to persevere and hopefully I get relief soon 🄹 but I’m like you I look and feel so heavy but I know if I got to the toilet I would be a new woman. I hope you get relief soon and if you figure out a cure please share 🤣

Here's the link for them. They're not a cure by any means but sometimes I think they take the edge off. Maybe it's psychosomatic but I don't really care if it's in my head tbh as long as I get a little relief. Worth a try. Hope they might help some of you. I've actually had a better day today though I then just worry that tomorrow will be twice as bad. Sickness has always eased off by week 14 for me except for my second ds when it kept going til about 16 weeks. With my last it had basically gone by 12 weeks so I'm really hoping I'll get a repeat of that.

My other concern atm is that my booking bloods are showing I'm already anaemic and also that "antibodies are detected" but no one has contacted me to tell me what that means. I also had a borderline bp at 138/81 which is made me worry as my BP has always been low historically. So much to worry about!

I’ve felt pretty sick for weeks, but the last 24 hours I’ve felt fine. You’d think I’d be pleased but nope, this has sent me into a new anxious spiral!

missmoosh · 08/02/2026 10:10

For those with constipation - prune juice if you can stomach it! And if not kiwi with skin on! Game changer for me last pregnancy!

I haven’t left the house since Tuesday due to sickness and the meds make me so tired! I knew I was likely to get hyperemesis again but I forgot just how awful it is!

ripleynot · 08/02/2026 12:25

Just had my first scan and everything looks great. Measuring 7 weeks 4 days (thought I was 8 so this is fine) and heart beat of 161BPM. The technician was lovely and said everything was very strong and healthy, and gave everything a really good look over.

I’m in shock to be honest, I was so not expecting that. My husband and I have just come home and stared at each other in silence!!

Hope everyone else gets good healthy scans too ā¤ļø

Hi everyone
was originally due sept 14th
went for an early reassurance scan on the 25th Jan, should have been 6w6d but measured 5w1d.
went to epu 30/1 and measured 6w.
im so confused, we’ve to go back on the 13th but it’s so hard being in limbo not knowing what’s going on.
the dates just don’t add up and worries there’s not going to be growth

I went for a scan at what I believed I was 7 weeks and told I was just under 6 weeks. So confusing!

It’s weird isn’t it.
my scans match my dates if you went by ovulation.
but they always add two weeks so it doesn’t add up šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø

I take every word I said yesterday back. I’ve spent nearly all of today with my head in a bucket 🤢

WaryShark · 08/02/2026 20:56

Joining! But technically an October due date (6th) but, baby will only be allowed to stay in 38 weeks latest & I've had a preemie befor so definitely going to be a September baby.
Anyone know why I've been referred to EPAU at 6 weeks for an HCG blood test? Last 2 pregnancies (I have 2 kids, 5 and 18m) I was just given a 6 week scan up EAPU, this time I'm behind sent their tommorow for an HCG test, no mention of a scan. Not had booking appointment yet either, think that will be arranged after blood test.
I'm so confused 🤣

WaryShark · 08/02/2026 21:03

Also in the same 3rd baby, 3rd pregnancy first time having nausea, been on anti sickness since 5 weeks 2 days, didn't feel sick once with either of my other children. It's either cos I'm in my 30s now and was in my 20s with the other 2, or there's 2. Which there bloody better well not be 🤣

@Pandadreameugh it’s so awful isn’t it! I’m worst first thing in the morning and then from around 4pm through to going to sleep. I’ve contacted the GP for some omeprazole as I’m sure reflux is making my nausea worse and last time I remember it helping a little. I can’t find your message now, did you say you were taking anything? Have you found anything to work?

@Neenamonz93so sorry you’re struggling. I also tried Fybogel but with my nausea it just kept coming back up! Have you tried Movicol? I tend to do much better on that - definitely worth pushing back on your GP as there are so many options they could try. Only so many prunes we can eat 🤣 hope you start to feel more comfortable soon!

WaryShark · 09/02/2026 12:08

Blood test results back today at 4800 so 4 weeks from implantation (and puts me at around 6 weeks as I thought) so first scan Wednesday, hoping to see heartbeat 😊

I’ve just been re scanned as I couldn’t take the anxiety and I am now measuring 7 weeks 3 days which is bang on where I should be!
Dont worry - she explained it’s extremely hard to get an accurate measurements this early on x

RoamingToaster · 09/02/2026 15:23

So sorry to hear some of you still suffering. You deserve medals for putting up with it. I think I’m over any sick feeling not that I ever had it that bad.

I’ve got my NIPT this Thursday with my first scan. It’ll be another week to know results.

My dates have never matched with what the scans show. With both my children they were given an earlier due date by about a week.
