Hey folks. Thought I’d set up a thread for those expecting in September next year. I got my bfp yesterday at 10dpo on Christmas Day 🄹. I think my due date would be around 6th September. It would be nice to keep in touch with some ladies going through similar things. Xxx

Next appointment is for my first midwife meeting. DH and I are also going to pay for a private NIPT test - we are both very anxious people and just something we want to do.

Feeling terrible every day at the moment. Had to tell manager so I don’t have to come into the office (thankful I have a wfh job) - 8 weeks tomorrow and worried it’s going to get so much worse as I read 8-10 is HCG peak!

Thank you. I'm finding it hard to get my head around at the moment. I'll be alright x

Evening all, just a little update from me as ive been quiet on here. I went for scan again today and everyrhing is looking good, baby measuring 10+weeks which is around what I am anyway. Heartbeat was strong. This is the furthest we have gotten so I am both happy and relieved for now however the anxiety never goes away. I have my 12 week scan booked in for 19th so this is my next milestone to get too šŸ¤žšŸ¤ž

Just had a scan as still bleeding today although not heavily. They couldn't find anything at all and just advised to come back in 10 days to see if any change as it's possible it's just too early to detect anything, but also maybe an early miscarriage. According to LMP I would be 6+4 today and they detected something, just a sac, at 5 weeks with my previous pregnancy! So I'm pretty sure this is a loss and I don't know how I'm going to get through the wait for another scan just to confirm what feels obvious

So sorry you didn’t get the reassurance we all want. The wait is awful but I have told myself (when going through it) that it was time to prepare myself and transition my thinking, just in case. Hopefully it’s just early days x

Thank you so much, and sorry that you've been through this too. I've been thinking about it all day and have come to the conclusion that it's basically impossible for it to be too early for anything to show on the scan. I got 2-3 weeks on a Clearblue digital two weeks ago today, so the timeline just doesn't make sense for it to be anything other than an early loss. I've already moved on from "wait and see" to "this has happened". I'll be bowing out of the thread after this.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who's wished me well and a big congratulations to everyone who's had reassuring scans over the past few days. I wish you all the very best and lovely, happy, healthy September babies! 🄰

I've got my midwife booking appt today. But with the spotting that is STILL going on, I just feel soooo down about it all! Xx

I’m so sorry for everyone that’s having bad news or a difficult time ā¤ļø

I have my first scan at 8 weeks 1 day on Sunday. I’m so convinced it’s non-viable that I think if the outcome is any different I will go into shock. Pregnancy is very strange, especially this limbo stage. I honestly just want to be through to the other side now whatever that may be.

Seems like a lot of us are in the same boat.
I had another scan in my EPU (who have ben wonderful) yesterday and saw a wriggly little thing with a strong heartbeat, I could very easily cry with relief just thinking about it.
finally feel like I can start to believe it might be ok this time

Neenamonz93 · 06/02/2026 20:54

Hi everyone I’m 10 weeks today and I’m really really struggling with constipation. It’s been 2 weeks since Iv properly went to the bathroom and I don’t know what to do I went to the pharmacist and she give me lactulose but I’m scared to take it incase I go the other way and I have a very busy day of clients tomorrow is anyone else having the same trouble or have any advice on how to help this. TIA

Niftymum88 · 06/02/2026 21:02

Hi everyone
was originally due sept 14th
went for an early reassurance scan on the 25th Jan, should have been 6w6d but measured 5w1d.
went to epu 30/1 and measured 6w.
im so confused, we’ve to go back on the 13th but it’s so hard being in limbo not knowing what’s going on.
the dates just don’t add up and worries there’s not going to be growth

lilybop · 06/02/2026 22:21

Had 2 scans already and all been ok with them but started spotting again & they said to call back, so I did & they are scanning me again Monday. Then all being well have my 12w on 17th. Crazy, 4 scans in first 12 weeksšŸ™ˆ
I still don’t feel comforted everything’s ok even though I know the spotting is likely from the hematoma they found. Its just so different from my first pregnancy.
truly hate the first trimester, soo much anxiety!

from memory lactulose is fairly mild, so you should be okay. Although what I find is if I go on laxative, it’s hard to go back. How’s your diet? Freshly pressed orange juice, prunes, apple cider vinegar, seeds, and lots of fruits usually help me. Good luck! It’s hard not to go smoothly..

I think the measuring is very sensitive early one, any movement depending on who’s measuring can have an impact on the no of weeks. I wouldn’t worry too much. Wait till the 12 weeks scan and see what they say, if there’s low growth, they will be all over it with extra scans to monitor.

I’m hoping and praying cos the dates they’ve said means I conceived after I tested positive.
dates match ovulation time but I know that’s not when they date from

@Neenamonz93
Over here!!! šŸ™‹šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø I feel your pain. My constipation has been on another level.
I didn't have it with my previous pregnancy but its been my worst symptom this pregnancy.
I havent been properly for 3 weeks.
I have tried everything. Loads of water. Fruit. Apple juice, broccoli etc etc. All the things they list to try. I ended up at the doctors and she gave me fybogel.
I hate taking anything during pregnancy due to anxiety because of previous miscarriage but im at my wits end. Even the fybogel isnt touching it.
I look 18 weeks pregnant. Im 8 weeks. Ive gained 5 pounds. In crap!!!!!
Ive never been so uncomfortable.

I had the same with EPU, I think they measure the weeks to the end of 40 weeks rather than when you actually conceive. It’s a rather weird concept but then tbh, are all the pregnancy can be said to have 40 weeks, I am just putting it down averages. Don’t worry too much. As long as they can see heart rate and they aren’t worried, don’t worry yourself. The end of the day it’s a way how they measure it.

I’m on my third pregnancy but it’s almost impossible. I’m only 8 weeks and have been house bound due to constant bad nausea, especially now, in the evening is almost unbearable. I’m on Xonvea, although only one tablet a day as two tablets literally make me bed bound. Anyone else have the same experience or have any wise words on nausea relief, even temporarily ones?!!

im in the same boat 8 weeks today 3rd pregnancy and really been struggling with nausea the only thing that is helping is literally eating something every hour!!! Not ideal at all and it’s stodgy food I seem to need and want I could cry with how crap I feel well I mean I have done 🤣

I feel you!! Is it because it’s a third pregnancy? Our body is saying it had enough?! 🤣 I can’t even find relief from food these days…my stomach is like constant havoc, the only time it has some relief is when I’m actually putting food in my mouth…I am struggling to see the light at the end of the tunnel!

I’m just over seven weeks and also feeling absolutely awful. Constant nausea that peaks morning and evening. Struggling to drink enough water as it makes me feel so sick! Only thing working for me at the moment is salted crackers and Ribeena. Not sure how long these symptoms should last! With my first I had nausea until 16 weeks but I’m sure it started much later. This kicked in about 5.5 weeks?! Hope everyone else is going ok and sorry for those who’ve had bad news or dealing with the unknowns of the first trimester
