Hey folks. Thought I’d set up a thread for those expecting in September next year. I got my bfp yesterday at 10dpo on Christmas Day 🄹. I think my due date would be around 6th September. It would be nice to keep in touch with some ladies going through similar things. Xxx

@ErickBroch Thats great news 😊

LuckyDuck93 · 29/01/2026 10:57

@ErickBroch wonderful news!
Hope you feel more reassured for a while, as reassured as you can in early pregnancy anyway! x

an update on all my drama. Had my early scan today regarding the brown/pink discharge for two week and the foetus is measuring on track and saw the heartbeat. Was really reassuring and they were very kind, they said once they see a heartbeat the miscarriage risk drops to 5%!

They thought perhaps I had a haematoma but it’s closed up now and it’s been the last of the blood coming out. Measuring me at 7 weeks today!

Aw that’s brilliant news, hope that brings you some peace!

SoMuch2Say · 29/01/2026 11:11

have people got dates for their 12week scans? Mine is the 20th and my in-laws will be here so a bit nervous about them being here in case it’s bad news.

a friend told me she was expecting in July the other day, was very difficult to not say anything so it’s nice to talk openly about being pregnant even if only on mumsnet!

ah do you have one tomorrow? That’s great! Let us know when you can. The scanner told me she had very heavy bleeding with one of her pregnancies and he’s 6 now, so there’s a lot of positives out there!

missmoosh · 29/01/2026 12:51

@ErickBrochthats amazing news! Most be so reassuring!

I have just under 2 weeks before an early private scan booked for 7+3 feels an age away. Other than sore boobs and tiredness not feeling to bad atm. However, looking back on my Flo updates in my last pregnancy the hyperemesis didn’t hit until end of week 6, so suspect this is my last week feeling well hahaha

Yeah 12pm tomorrow...keep your fingers crossed for me!
The spotting seems to have stopped yesterday and today but so on edge it's unreal...!
Yeah there are alot out there, I had heavy bleeding with my daughter so you'd think I'd be a bit calmer about it šŸ˜‚
You must feel so much better today! ā¤ļø
After my scan last Monday I felt relief, and now the terror has crept back in...! Xx

Fullofconfusion · 29/01/2026 13:43

@ErickBroch wonderful news.

@SoMuch2SayI’ve not had a scan date yet. Going for a private scan on 8th so hoping for some reassurance then.

Lyndsey8880 · 30/01/2026 15:31

Just an update.. my scan today didn't happen!! This scan was booked by the midwives as an early scan, following them booking this, I ended up having a scan at EPU due to spotting, so they then cancelled my scan today without actually telling me!
I drove an hour, got myself all worked up prepared for good or bad news, for it not to happen!!!!
Now trying to book a private scan tomorrow to give me some reassurance after all the spotting...
The spotting has been gone for 2 days now, hoping it stays away, I can get a scan with hopefully a good outcome and relax a little!! Xx

Lyndsey8880 · 31/01/2026 15:29

After all the emotional stress of yesterday, I booked for a private scan today...
Baby measuring bang on at 7+4, all looking good! Sonographer spotted a small haematoma to explain the spotting!

Tealover11 · 31/01/2026 15:49

I am in my first trimester 7 weeks and my gosh I can’t stop eating. I am a bit weight conscious as I was very petite before pregnancy , but now I feel I am going to end up so over weight after pregnancy. Sorry I know that maybe a shallow comment but I just wondered if anyone has else this where they physically crave bad food and can’t stop! If I don’t eat I feel so sick it’s like my body just wants me to keep filling it up with chocolate. The nausea comes on so strong when I get hungry (which is like 24/7) that I have to eat to stop feeling sick. I must eat triple the amount of what I did before pregnancy. With my first pregnancy I had no appetite and ate like a normal human being but honestly this is another level. Anyone in the same boat?

RoamingToaster · 31/01/2026 16:15

@Lyndsey8880
That must have been so stressful. Glad you eventually got a scan and everything looks good, must be a relief 😊

@Tealover11
Yes I can relate, I've gained a lot of weight recently and it's annoying. I think for me the urge to eat more is starting to subside, at least I hope it is.

Honestly the 1st trimester is not for healthy eating. I'm just surviving. I will eat whatever I can keep down. Nausea and sickness are absolutely kicking my arse. I feel awful. Can't believe there could be another 5 weeks of this. Once I get into the second trimester I'll be a bit more careful with what I eat but right now if it doesn't make me gag and I get to actually digest it then it'll have to do! Honestly don't stress about eating too much just be glad you can eat!

missmoosh · 31/01/2026 17:39

@Tealover11in my first pregnancy I’m pretty sure I exclusive lived off Victoria Spongecake and takeaway! Couldn’t stand the smell of cooking food in the house for the entire pregnancy! So I gained a lot of weight, but 18 months later even with some thyroid issues I was back to pre-pregnancy weight. So I really wouldn’t worry! I had hyperemesis last pregnancy and it very much was what stayed down went in or at least what didn’t taste too bad coming back up! šŸ¤¦šŸ»ā€ā™€ļøšŸ˜‚

This is the exact same as me ! I am craving just carbs ! Had a dominoes the other night and don’t think I’d had one for 3 years ! And I even ate the leftovers the next day was absolutely disgusted at myself 🤣 it’s like i get to two hours after food and my stomach is burning for more! And then if I don’t eat I just feel sick!!

I’m 7w2d today and I am having very limited symptoms. It’s my first pregnancy so I have no idea what to expect - my only symptom was intense cramping in the first couple of weeks (but Dr Google says that’s normal to tail off) and then intense fatigue. I’ve had a tiny bit of nausea but basically nothing, and no sore boobs at any point. My only other symptom has been absolutely zero appetite. I feel like the opposite of everyone on this thread who seems to be hungry and nauseous all the time.

I think I’m having a scan at 8 weeks so I guess we’ll see then, but hard to believe there’s anything in there to be honest.

I'm 6+1 today and if I hadn't had the positive tests, I wouldn't know I was pregnant! I'm a little more tired than usual (falling asleep on the sofa in the evening), but could easily just put that down to having a toddler to be honest. My first pregnancy was the same until a bit further on when the cravings and food aversions started, so try not to let the lack of symptoms worry you. It doesn't indicate anything wrong! Good luck for your scan next week

ErickBroch · 02/02/2026 09:22

Completely understand the anxiety around not feeling symptoms when others (like me) are rabbiting on and on. Hard to feel like it but in the end you will feel very smug I hope!! I wish I didn’t have anything. But I completely understand the worry - I am sure you’re both just lucky ones ā¤

Ksum90 · 02/02/2026 09:57

Hey girls due end of September. I had a miscarriage before Christmas so hoping this works out. Trying my hardest to wait till 8 weeks for a private scan. But tempted to book on at 7 weeks? Will it be worth it? Or just add to anxiety if no heartbeat? Thanks in advance for the support
