Other thread is full already! Ive to head out but feel free to tag others, if not I can do it when back

Just back from my GP check up - all looking good. I’ve really bad back pain the last few days and he reckons I might have pulled something. Recommended exercises and a birthing ball

Congrats so far to all you ladies who have had your lovely babies. I’ve got an elective section booked on the 22nd and am feeling a bit anxious about recovery with a bouncy 4 year old!
Hope everyone is recovering well x

I have a 4 year old and had a planned section, recovery hasn’t been too bad. I’ve just switched a little bits up when my little boy wants me to play with him because I can’t get down to the floor. He just brings his toys to the sofa so we can still play and when dad has baby it means we can have some one on one time which we try and do every day so he doesn’t feel left out.

I would recommend as soon as you feel ready to start moving, it helps recovery so much. And set alarms for your pain meds. I took them for 5 days. Then only now have them if I’ve over done it.

a pillow over your incision will be your best friend when you cough, laugh, sneeze or go to the bathroom also have the pillow for your drive home!

and keep on top of lactulose so don’t get Constipated, and use a stool to have you in the right position! X

This is so cute! The same as my cat. She is obsessed with him 😅

Congratulations @dubkitten @Sunshinemoomand anyone else I’ve missed. I’ve just been catching up with this thread now.

I’m currently 37+4 and so ready to be finished (although I don’t start mat leave for another week). It’s funny, with DD1 I was happy for her to hang on longer, as we’d just moved house and were getting damp-proofing done (= no electricity for a week) the week before she was due (and she did duly stay put until 40+5); with DD2 I was feeling much more fed up at this stage, and this time round, even more so, as I’ve been told that they want to induce me at 39+5, and I really want to avoid induction if at all possible! And I just feel so big, sore and exhausted. I dunno if I’ve been having BH, as sometimes my bump feels so tight and uncomfortable, but it’s quite different from the period pain type feeling that kicked off my labour with DD1, so I don’t think it means anything much….

IForgotTheApricotJam · 11/01/2026 14:48

Had my baby daughter on the 8th of Jan in an mlu unit, compared to my first labour it was a dream, very quick 4 and half hours from start to finish. Did it all on gas and air as well so no epidural this time, but she wasn't back to back like my son was, the midwives were also lovely.

She arrived the day before my induction was due 😂 (edd 28 December). Such a positive birth experience I will never forget and she is bf like a pro which was something I struggled with before.. We are so happy.

Baby Jessica.

Aww congratulations she is fab!! Happy that your finding this time round a easier experience. I feel the same with mine compared to my first. Xxx

Jadeypie · 11/01/2026 15:44

Congratulations to anyone els who's babas have arrived! Im currently consumed in the baby bubble haha so sorry if ive missed your post. My 'little one' had his weight done today and heel prick hes gone from 10lbs to 9.13lbs so still a big boy hahah. Been trying to use all his smaller outfits first that just fit 🤣🤣🤣 xx

WanderWalker · 11/01/2026 15:56

@IForgotTheApricotJam congrats! 💕

@Jadeypie 🤣 squeezing him into those outfits! 🤣 I was told I was expecting a big baby with a big tummy around 10lbs and we’ve had the opposite issue. She came out 6pound 14 and family had to go get tiny baby clothes as the stuff I bought was huge! X

@curliegirlie oh I feel for you. I felt the same, those last weeks are hard and uncomfortable. I hope the time passes quickly for you and that you manage to rest before baby arrives 💕 also I had BH which felt nothing like period pain with this pregnancy and turns out they were early contractions and the start of labour, so you never know!

Isnt it crazy how they get the measurements so wrong. Apparently i was only measuring 37 weeks! he must of lived in my back!! No wonder I had pgp. I keep looking at him thinking how did I carry 10 whole pounds in my belly 😳 hahaha xx

I was measuring 2 weeks ahead and jumped off the measurement chart 🙄 the growth scan put her at over 7 pound at 36 weeks. I had her at 39 + 1, so not accurate at all! I was going to say no wonder why you were so uncomfortable and suffering with pgp! I hope you are enjoying your little baby bubble 😊 x

dubkitten · 11/01/2026 17:24

Congratulations @IForgotTheApricotJamshe is adorable 🥰 our girls are birthday twins!

I had a growth scan last week and they said she was measuring around 7.5lb and was 7lb 4oz so wasn’t too far off the mark

Huge congrATS @IForgotTheApricotJam She is just adorable!! Xx

WildFinch · 11/01/2026 18:58

@IForgotTheApricotJam congratulations! She's so adorable!

@curliegirlie I'm a day behind you at 37+3 with my first. Growth scan tomorrow, she's been on the 50th percentile so far so I hope that continues. Yesterday we went to the cinema and I was so uncomfortable, she must have been stuck under my ribs but today she's down in my pelvis. I've used up annual leave so I finished work on Friday. Feels very odd. Wishing you all the best if you're induced. Why do they want to induce you if you don't mind me asking? I'm very keen to avoid induction too.

Thank you @curliegirlie I totally get being fed up at the end. I feel like when you have a second child to chase as well you’re even more tired and fed up.

@IForgotTheApricotJam congratulations happy of all went smoothly for you. And that she came before your induction.

@Jadeypieyes use all the smaller outfits while your can. You obviously held him well in your back. Does baby boy have a name? And I think it’s crazy Atlas was 8lbs 2 weeks early he would have been at least 9lbs and half if I had got to 40 weeks. And my bump was measuring 3 weeks behind so I must of carried him in my back as well! Xx

Jadeypie · 11/01/2026 21:14

@WildFinch i was induced purely because I was suddenly measuring behind was mearly 41 weeks and they couldn't scan me because they had no appointment (which is ridiculous) so they took me in for induction there and then. Tbf I was over it by then anyway. It wasnt what I 3xpectes either I only need a pessery and three hours later I was in labour with no other interventions. So its not always as bad as some stories xxx

@Sunshinemoom oh he would of defo been a big boy then wouldn't he! They pile the weight on in the end. And we called him Harry 🙂 i left all his hats and stuff at the hospital because non fitted haha ibe had to get rid of all his frist size bless him haha the arms was to his elbows hahah he has the squishy cheeks haha xxx

@Jadeypieyeah he would have and I was so shocked when they told me his weight during my c section. The first thing doctor said to me was I hope you’ve packed some 0-3 months outfits. It was one of the doctors who had seen throughout my pregnancy and all my growth scans he’d been on the smaller side. So we was all shocked. What a lovely name ☺️ oh I don’t blame you 😅🤣 yeah I had brought tiny baby stuff non of it fitted, he just about fits in newborn with his long legs and feet 😅 ph squishy cheeks are the best! Xxx

Ahh, that’s amazing, sounds really chilled (as a birth can be!). She’s beautiful. My current youngest is also a Jessica 🥰

Confusedmermaid1 · 13/01/2026 19:22

I hope all of you that have already had your little ones are loving the newborn bubble 💕

I am so ready for baby to come now. Next pregnancy (🤞🏼) I’m adding weeks to my due date.. lesson learned 😅 I am so over the texts asking if baby is here or if there are any signs! 39+5 and I think she’s too comfy. Even a colleague asked me if I was having a sweep any time soon, we’re friendly but come on 🙈😂 evidently people have no boundaries when you’re pregnant..

The clary sage and curb walking haven’t done the trick yet 😅

Baby arrived Sunday and he is absolutely perfect 💙 it’s been a tiring few days but we are so in love with him.
Just trying to get to grips with the feeding and the sleeping. Hope those of you still waiting won’t have to wait too much longer!
