@WanderWalker @Thegirlhasnamechanged ahh it's so frustrating isn't it - you feel a bit better and start doing a little bit more, then you're punished for it afterwards with the increased/prolonged bleeding 🙃 I thought mine was stopping but then it came back like a period, good to know this is pretty normal though! Xx

@WildFinch awww how many weeks+days are you now? My friend swears by the raspberry leaf tea - her second baby basically flew out the night she drank it🤣 fingers crossed it works for you! 🤞 xx

Having my first night out tonight - a girls night out with my bestie for food and drinks. I haven’t had a drink since Easter Sunday last year so probably be drunk after 2 😂🍷

How did your night out go? After my day yesterday and night im feeling like I bloody need a bottle of wine hahsh!!

Anyone els baby decided he doesnt sleep anymore? My Harry was up all day yesterday think hes discovered his arms haha because would he hell keep them still! Hes fussed all night and constantly wanted the dummy.

Ive heard they have a growth spurt around 4 weeks so im assuming this is what all the fussiness and his feeds all over the place about.

Anyone els experienced this yet xxx

Atlas has been fussy the last week not really wanting anything but wanting stuff. He just wanted me as well. His poor dad 😅 it can last anywhere from 4-8 weeks I was reading as they also go through a developmental leap as well.

I definitely felt overwhelmed at times over the last week! On the flip side Atlas did 10:30 until 4:30am last night so I feel like a new person 🙈 just woke up soaked so had to change him! Xx

Was a great night but I ended up having to come home earlier than planned and due to eating too much rather than drinking too much 😂😂 I had a starter, main and dessert which is the most I’ve eaten since pre-pregnancy as I didn’t have any appetite while pregnant and ended up with an awful cramp!

Callie has days like that also where she just won’t settle, as Sunshine says I think it’s just a phase they go through.

@Sunshinemoomthat is some sleep! My housemate took Callie on Saturday night in her room after our night out which meant I could catch up on some sleep! The most I’ve gotten out of her is 4.5/5 hours which is good.

Haha literally stuffed to the brim comes to mind! How olds Callie now? Yeh you get through one phase and another starts haha.

My mums come for the night so I will be getting a good night's sleep shes so good with babies suppose shes had plenty of practise with all the grankids.

Babies will forever baffel me! Even though I have a 5 year old I feel like im in the omg forgot about this stage hahaha xx

Thegirlhasnamechanged · 04/02/2026 13:20

Definitely with you on suddenly turning into a fuss pot. I’ve got the wonder weeks app from when I had my first and it reckons they go through a developmental leap around 4 weeks post due date which is about right for Nora. She just wanted to be on the boob last night from about half 7 until half 10. Wouldn’t mind so much but she ends up spitting a lot of it up during winding - it’s like ‘Excuse me! I worked hard making that 😂’ finally into 0-3 month clothes though so it’s doing its job

I had that ap with my first but couldnt find it this time round, feels like you get a bit of a idea why they behave the way they do!!

I dint breast feed but can imagine mine would be the same because hes downing his bottles like hes starving hes already on 5 ounces!

Sounds like your milks doing its job for Nora xxx

Confusedmermaid1 · 04/02/2026 13:58

Yes to the suddenly fussy baby! She is 3 weeks tomorrow and last night she was on the boob constantly between about 9pm and 3am. I literally couldn’t put her down, even in the bed next to me which is how we handled the first week of cluster feeding chaos. As soon as the boob was taken away she was inconsolable even though she wasn’t really feeding that much.
I Think the skill she’s learning is how to punch me/herself in the face so we swaddled for the first time and I think it helped. She’s been content in a sleep sack up to now.
I also had a little cry just from being exhausted and feeling like my poor nipples we’re going to fall off 🙈 hopefully tonight will be better 🤞🏼

Yeah, I was a little bit worried because I woke up and he was on his front next to me, but I guess it helped because he then wasn’t getting all his reflux symptoms because he hates being on his back. We started a omeprazole yesterday, so I’m hoping that it’s gonna help in the next few days so I can get him to sleep on his back and not on my chest as much as what he is. But I did honestly need it. I think I finally just crashed last night.

Oh, I totally get the crying you feel like you can’t help them and anything you do is wrong and then you’ve still gotta try and help your older child. I am finding it hard to stretch myself between both of them.

have you managed to have your bed day? And every baby is so different so something we could’ve worked with your older son doesn’t work with Harry vice versa

@dubkitten that’s so lovely of your house, mate, and that you could catch up on some sleep! That’s a good stretch of sleep!!

@Thegirlhasnamechanged i’ll make sense that they go for a development leap then! I’ve worked hard to make this milk please don’t spit it out 🤣 that’s great she in 0-3 months xx

WanderWalker · 04/02/2026 16:09

Hello all 😊 it’s actually a relief reading all these posts I was starting to think it was just us going through this.

Our baby likes to sleep all day and party all night. She literally just doesn’t sleep between 12-6am 😐 she’s either just wide awake or fussy. HV said walks in the pram during daylight help due to the melatonin which helps them figure out day and night (if anyone else is having the same issue of life in reverse!). I’m going to try that although most days are dull and miserable at the min!
I’ve also had a few emotional cries due to tiredness. I certainly forgot how tough the lack of sleep is with a newborn.

so you’re not on your own! We’ve got this 💪🏻❤️ each phase passes x

She will be 4 weeks tomorrow 😱

Have got most of the admin for her sorted to register her and get her added to my health insurance and set up a credit union account. Meeting with the priest tomorrow to arrange her christening- hopefully be able to have it the May bank holiday weekend.

We are still not fitting into 0-3 🙈😂

One of the girls from work kindly offered her daughters old clothes but had to turn her down as due to the amount of gifts we received I won’t need to buy Callie clothes for the next year 😂

Yea they have been a great help. She is my best friend since we are 5 and we’ve lived together for nearly 20 years now 😱

I helped her raise her now 12 year old since she was born so now she gets to help me. Her husband moved in with us in September and he’s enjoying spending time with her as he missed out on this stage with their daughter as he was in another country at the time.

Regarding the fussy babies, looks like we are all in the same boat which is reasurring.

My wonderful mum stayed the night so I got a full night's sleep which after 2 days of none was really needed. Feel alot better this morning emotionally and ready to take the day.

Hope everyone has a none fussy day 🙊😅

Oh babies with a cold are another level!! Its hard because there is nothing to help and they are just too tiny, I hope he gets over his cold quickly bless him! Harrys had a snuffly nose last two days im hoping its not a start of somthing.

Yeah it’s so rubbish as can’t help them. I’ve literally had the humidifier on all night, and yes been using snufflebabe. I’ve also got Asda vapour bubble bath used that in his and my older boy bath last night.

He’s just cat napping but he’s so overtired as he needs a proper sleep. I’m gonna wrap him up and go for a long walk after the school run and hopefully he sleeps a bit longer.

I hope it doesn’t turn anything 🤞🏾🤞🏾 xx

Awww bless him!! Bubble bath sounds liek such a good idea, I'll be getting that in.

A walk sounds like a plan Harry lobes his walk to school, takes the knock soon as he gets in his snowsuit thing. Soon as we get bk the house he wakes up like he knows hahs xx

I love the stuff and it’s only like 80 P bottle, I’ve been using it since my oldest was a baby 🙈 yeah Atlas is the same asleep as soon as we get outside. Wakes up as soon as we get back in the house 😅 I always hope he stays asleep so I can get some jobs done. Xx
