Other thread is full already! Ive to head out but feel free to tag others, if not I can do it when back

Just back from my GP check up - all looking good. I’ve really bad back pain the last few days and he reckons I might have pulled something. Recommended exercises and a birthing ball

I can’t believe I have a 4 week old tomorrow. Where is time going. I am loving him being a little bit more alert and just taking in the world Atlas has started to recognise my voice when I move in the room and he moves his head to see where I am. I don’t think he can see that far yet though. 🤣😅

I know exactly what you mean, I can’t believe she will be three weeks this week but then on the other hand it feels like she has been here forever. She is also awake a lot more each day which is nice.

Tell me about it! Times going so fast. Nora was 6 weeks old yesterday and (in the nicest possible way) it feels like she’s been here forever. Currently suffering with her first cold though. So weird seeing how much snot a tiny baby can produce

Nynm23 · 27/01/2026 20:56

Hi all, baby Harry 7lbs 12oz born today by elective c section (after a false alarm where I thought my waters had gone in early hours of Monday morning - it wasn’t, it was just a lot of discharge - sorry tmi) he is perfect 💕

Did any c section ladies had staples and a pica dressing? Any issues or concerns?

That doesn’t seem possible she is already 6 weeks. I hope she feels better asap nothing worse when they get their first cold! X

I can’t comment on the staples or pico dressing but I’ve heard really good things about pico dressings being great for healing!!

Aww congrats @Nynm23 and everyone who has had new arrivals. Feel like I'm the only one left. Due Thursday but don't feel she's in a rush. Refused to be booked in for induction at the moment. Will be trying to get things kickstarted naturally - any tips for getting baby's head engaged? She's still not there :/

Not long now! 💕

Have you tried colostrum harvesting? I did a little last week and started feeling super crampy so stopped just incase.

Hey mamas ❤️ has anyone else had a blow out poop with their newborn yet? My LO is 12 days old now, had only been for 1 poop all day and then did the biggest fullest blow out poop ever at 2am, up her back and had to bin the onesie and vest as there was no saving them! She did also projectile vomit some milk at about 10pm but she drank a lot more than normal, so I figured it was just the extra milk coming back up as she took too much.

Shes formula fed on Aptamil, I've checked and we don't have the recalled batch (thank god!). I asked the HV yesterday about sickness as she was spitting up the day before and she said as long as it isn't after every feed then it's ok. Is it worth a GP appt due to the projectile vomit and vvv loose/runny blow out poop, or is this normal for newborns? No temp and she seems alert in herself ❤️

From a sleep deprived slightly worried new mummy 🥲

We had one in the hospital but no major blow out since. We’ve also had a couple of instances of her throwing up her bottle but she seems happy enough and is still having wet nappies, sleeping etc so she is fine.

I would watch her today and see how she gets on and if you are still worried then go to the GP for peace of mind. Another option would be to call your HV if that is possible (over here we can call them if needed)

Yeh its all normal i would say, their little digestive systems have a lot to get ust to!! What nappies do you use? Could just be that, I know my Harry can poop for England's and no dout would end up his back if the nappy wasnt a good fit.

Sorry I crnt seem to keep up and keep missing posts! So congrats to our new babies in the group 😍

Ive changed bottles and wow what a difference!! My chunky chips is finally getting the feeds he needs and isnt up every 2 hours drinking in dribs and draws because he gets on better with the bottle. Im hoping it will sort his wind out too! I dont think his moses basket is going to last long tho hes nearly the full length of it already!! 3 weeks old he is now and rapidly growing haha xxx

Ps his teddy does not stay in the basket haha his brother said mum he needs his photo taking with Mikey the meerkat haha, james has a gerry yhe giraffe so Harry needed a snuggle buddy too according to him bless xxx

Echoing what others have said but it’s completely normal. Their little bodies have to learn how to do things on the outside as it’s all new to them, just like it is to us. Not yet had a full blow out yet but maybe that’s because she’s breastfed?

you’re smashing it

Happy the change of bottle has helped. What did you go with in the end? Hopefully it helps his wind as well!

No, the Moses basket is not gonna last too much longer. Atlas is the same. His head is nearly at the top. 🤣🙈

that’s so cute that he needs a snuggle buddy!!

@TigerLily38 Atlas has had a Couple of blowouts, like others have said it’s their digestive systems just working out. The only time I would be worried is if the poos went to like a mucousy green and smelt vinegary As that could suggest cow milk allergy, I had that with my first born. In terms of the sick your health visitor is right unless it’s every feed they’re not concerned cause sometimes they can just vomit.

and mummy, you’re doing a great job!

@dubkitten @Jadeypie @Thegirlhasnamechanged @Sunshinemoom thank you all so much for the advice and lovely messages! So lucky to have this thread for all the support 🥰 she had another very runny nappy this morning but no sickness, she seems fine in herself and is keeping bottles down so just monitoring things still as you all suggested 💖 using Mamia nappies which have been amazing at containing the poonamis!! Hopefully she will be back to her normal poos soon...oh the conversations you have as a mum 🤣🤣🤣

Ps these babies and their names are all so cute! 🥰

Hey ladies, how is everyone doing? 🥰

I can't believe how fast time goes, my bubs was 2 weeks yesterday and it felt like it had only been 5 minutes since I had her haha!❤️

Still struggling with the PP bleeding (sorry if TMI)...was light in the first week and then a lot heavier this week, but no clots and not soaking through pads. Google tells me it could be from moving around more...anyone else the same 2 weeks after a c section?

Can't wait to get out and about with baby girl but think I need to take it a little slower! Hope everyone else is doing well and soaking up the baby snuggles🥰❤️

dubkitten · 31/01/2026 12:45

Having my first night out tonight - a girls night out with my bestie for food and drinks. I haven’t had a drink since Easter Sunday last year so probably be drunk after 2 😂🍷

Oh the time goes so fast doesn’t it!
I’m 6 weeks in after my c section and still bleeding. Mine depends on how much activity I’m doing in the day. The more I do the heavier it is. Bleeding can last quite a while so that’s normal as long as it’s not really heavy or with clots x

No sign of baby here. Just bought some raspberry leaf tea and have been walking and bouncing on my exercise ball. Maybe a curry tomorrow 😅 meeting consultant on Monday and I'm sure they will want me to book in for an induction.

Oh I’m so glad to read this. I’ll be 7 weeks post section this coming Monday (2/2) and still experiencing spotting on particularly active days. I know it’s completely normal but don’t remember it lasting as long with my first two so not ‘my normal’ if you get what I mean.

I was the same. It wasn’t as long with my first two but it’s hanging around this time 🙄 hopefully it will stop soon 🤞🏻 x
