Hi currently on dpo 12 and tested postive since Wednesday. Clear blue says 1-2 weeks

Hi everyone, hope it's ok if I join. I'm due around 12th June with my second baby, all being well. I'm still pinching myself - due to a number of health issues we were told it would take a long time or might not happen at all, but we got pregnant with this baby second cycle (first cycle we sadly had a chemical). I've seen some talk of symptoms, early scans and running so I think I'm in the right place 😄

Has anyone has a really bad cold? Ive not been able to sleep properly for 3 days feel.hot, pounding head, ear ache sore throat and runny nose. Can youtake anything

I’ve been a bit reluctant to post as it’s been a rocky road ttc number two over here but I’m trying to be a bit more positive!

Im due June 17th I think if all progresses, testing 3 times a day still and freaking out that lines aren’t progressing 😂 hoping I will be able to take my mind off it a bit soon.

Yes! I’m not sure if I have Covid. I had to have a few days off work this week and still feel quite rubbish :( I hope you can rest and stay hydrated! You can take paracetamol

@Pregjune I dont think you can no. Only paracetamol. Try honey and lemon and rubbing some Vik on your feet. If you're struggling to sleep, im sure you can take the antihistamine promethazine which is the anti sickness you can take in early pregnancy. It's what's in night nurse that helps you sleep. I do night shifts and take it to help me sleep. You can double check with pharmacist though, but say it's for sickness lol.

I take everything when im ill, lemsip, night nurse, sudofed blocked nose spray and I can't take any of it. So I dont even know how I would cope.

I just have insomnia. Im up all throughout the night then tired in day! Which isn't like me. But im happy as im at the 5 week mark today!

I haven't had a cold (yet) but DH and DS have. It's grim. DH reckoned it was the latest strain of COVID. DS is incredibly snotty and has an awful cough and is finding it tough to sleep. It's not doing anything to boost my energy levels.

My diarrhoea seems to have passed so that was maybe unrelated. 🤦🏻‍♀️😂 But the mood swings are pretty fun. One moment I'm perfectly happy but the next EVERYTHING is irritating.

And I can't work out if my sensitive nipples are pregnancy or if DS is just struggling to latch well because of his cold but it's making those middle of the night feeds horrendous.

Happy 5 weeks @Katie2908! Ahhh the insomnia was really bad for me when I was pregnant with my son! I feel for you. I found it best to just embarace it - I watched a lot of middle of the night tv 😂

My nipples are sore which is a usual early pregnancy symptom for me and I’ve been sick yesterday and today but that could be the maybe Covid 😂

Tbf it is going round. I know a lot of people ill atm. And in the hospital I work at covid is rife and flu. Im trying so hard not to catch anything!

@sleepykt I know i was tempted to get out of bed! Weird you saying it's when you had your son! As i really want a boy and have a feeling it is. My mom also said she thinks I will have a boy! But I don't want to get ahead of myself 🤣

I have order stuff for stretchmarks as its genetic in my family but im not going with bio oil as that's what they tried. Im going with clarins tonic oil and their stretchmarks cream and Palmers for a new body moisturiser. Although I dont have hope but I thinks starting earlier should help!

Yes! I got my positive last Sunday and I’ve been feeling rubbish since with a cold! No actual pregnancy symptoms yet except sore boobs, but feel very snotty!

It’s awful isn’t it I keep over analysing! I’ve found my first wee to produce awfully light tests which is worrying but they do pick up later in the day.

My morning pee is the worst too probably because I get up in the middle of the night to pee 🤦🏻‍♀️ . I find the afternoon one better . How many weeks are you ? I use the strip tests and then do a digital a week

I mostly use wondofo. I’m only 4 weeks 2 days right now though and only got 1-2 weeks on the digital (on Saturday and again on Wednesday) too scared to do another as I’ll convince myself it’s not progressing.

interestingly with my son pregnancy I still only got 2-3 weeks on the digital even on 6w4d when I’d seen his heart beating on a scan 😂 despite knowing this it still gives me the fear.

I’ve had a number of chemicals so currently just happy tests have progressed past period due date!

When are you likely to get 3+ on a digital? I’m between 5 and 5+3 depending on ovulation, conception or first day of last period haha! I’m tempted to test tomorrow but I don’t want to be disheartened if it says 2-3 still

I can't answer the digital part but after some extensive googling (lol) I've gone with my ovulation day plus 2 weeks which puts me at 5+4 today. My last period started 25th August so the NHS calculator has me at 6 weeks going off that, but my period lasted a week and I ovulated 2 weeks after it ended as I have 33 ish day cycles. Do digital ones only go up to 3+ weeks?

Yes they do! The clear blue digital measures weeks from conception not pregnancy weeks. To get a 3+ reading I believe you need hcg over 2000.

Anyone else getting cramps? I'm panicking when I have them, and then panicking when they stop!

Hi ladies! Got a positive on Weds, says my due date is 14th June. Will be my second baby.

No symptoms as of yet but had horrendous food aversions and sense of smell the first time around, I could barely eat until almost 20 weeks. Hoping I don’t get a repeat of that 😂

A bit of a happy accident, my heart is happy but my head keeps interrupting asking if this is the right choice - mainly thinking of my first and if she will struggle with it and the things she will miss out on through sharing resources with a second. But been debating a second for ages and at least the decision is made now before it’s too late (I’m late 30s).

@ToysRus56 yes I do, they're on and off. Several times a day. A bit like period cramps, but ive had worse period cramps. I've read if its on/off and not just on one side and getting worse it's normal as uterus and ligaments get prepared. But if you're concerned get checked.

@chequeredcushion welcome! My friend was the same with her second but now she's had her, she said its the best thing. A lot of my friends feel the same way moving from 1 to 2 babies but then eventually love them being together

@Fluck @sleepykt I am nervous to use clear blue next week as I have read on so many forums its hard to get to 3+ but then others said they did and then MC so it means nothing and not to stress. So I think I'll do it but not beat myself up if nothing changes.

Same! I actually felt fairly normal until this afternoon so I was panicking, and then the pulling feeling that makes me need to wee started, what a rollercoaster this is! I'm so paranoid about bleeding that I'm wearing a panty liner everyday so I can spot it straight away, I've had discharge which against black pants caused me to panic until I could tell the colour 😅I've had two tiny bits of brown/clear discharge when wiping on Monday and today but about an 8th of the size of my pinkie nail so I'm telling myself it's definitely nothing to worry about, and thankfully Google agrees 😅

@RJF89 omg im also wearing a panty liner every day and may invest in some white pants haha

@RJF89 i’ve had slightly brown discharge one day this week too and it sent me into overdrive. I also had black pants on and had to change so I could monitor it better. It hasn’t reoccurred though so I think it might be fairly normal. I also had slight cramping with it but again apparently that is a normal sensation. I also googled and got the same response.
