Hey all. Hope it’s okay to join. Another 12 June due date, first pregnancy following IVF so feeling very nervous. Scan at the clinic is on 27/10 which feels like ages away!
limited symptoms at the mo, all of which could be explained by the medication I’ll be on till 12 weeks! Sending positive thoughts to everybody!

DesertSnow · 12/10/2025 19:14

@Pololol I'm also up for a WhatsApp group, but not yet. I think I joined my last due date group whatsapp chat after the 12 week scan so would probably do similar if all goes well.

@RJF89 Totally fair enough! I know what you mean about the anxiety around pain, it can become such a huge thing.

@sleepykt That's so lovely you met your best friend in the last whatsapp group! It is really nice knowing that there will be someone online at whatever hour in those early days. I'm not a wondofo tester but I hope someone else might be able to help.

@Pregnantera on the nursery places thing, it totally depends on your area. I wouldn't worry too much, but couldn't hurt to cast a casual eye at what's around, I'd say.

Welcome and congratulations @bluepears96 and @GlosGal

I think we'll book a private early scan for the end of this month, if the NHS don't offer us one. We had some complications with my last pregnancy and in theory I'm supposed to be under extra monitoring again, but I don't have much faith in my local hospital unfortunately, so we'll see!

ToysRus56 · 13/10/2025 10:10

Ugh I'm not feeling pregnant at all today I feel like all my symptoms have gone :((

SummerLover89 · 13/10/2025 10:18

I feel like this all the time... @ToysRus56 6 weeks today. Remember it's normal to not have symptoms too for some women, espesh this early. It messes with your head though, constant spirals for me but trying to stay positive where I can

ToysRus56 · 13/10/2025 10:10

Ugh I'm not feeling pregnant at all today I feel like all my symptoms have gone :((

It’s stressful isn’t it!

my test lines are not really progressing which has me thinking the worst :(

memorablemicker · 13/10/2025 11:35

Hi there hope it’s okay for me to join (although it’s v. early). I got a clear positive yesterday around 8-10dpo (bit of variability between opk and bbt). If everything carries on well, I would be due June 27.

Thank you for setting up this group!

I haven’t actually got to date of missed period yet - I have long cycles so it’s about 6 days away still. This is also my first. If your test was like this would you carry on testing for line progression and when would you register at your hospital?

I’m high risk due to medical conditions and am pretty lucky to be pregnant so just trying to tread the line between cautious and careful/ anxious and overbearing!

Thanks for any help and lovely to ‘meet’ you all.

sleepykt · 13/10/2025 12:52

@memorablemickerwelcome!! The booking appointment is usually around 8-10 weeks so I register at about 6-7 weeks but you can do it sooner if you’d prefer.

Alot of people do one test and accept they’re pregnant until told otherwise and a lot of people test loads and everywhere in between! Whatever makes you most comfortable 💚

RJF89 · 13/10/2025 13:27

@ToysRus56 I'm the same, Saturday felt normal, yesterday I fell back asleep after becoming all of sudden knackered despite having 8 hours, and a bit off in the morning. My boobs are getting less and less sore and I feel normal today but I did almost cry twice on the train at lunch watching a show on Netflix 😅 But as SummerLove89 has said, it's normal not to have any symptoms, and normal for them to come and go. I'm 6 weeks today with an early private scan on Saturday, I feel like I'll hopefully relax a bit after that.

@memorablemicker congratulations! I agree with sleepykt on the testing and registering, I hope we're all sharing good news on here come June 🤞🏻

sleepykt · 13/10/2025 13:49

@RJF89@ToysRus56 it suck’s doesn’t it because it’s awful to feel ill but also awful to not have symptoms cause of the worry!

I’m very sick already, but test lines driving me into a pit of doom.

DejaBump · 13/10/2025 14:14

Hi Guys,

I'd love to join if that's OK! Based on LMP I'm due 09th June, this will be #2! I have ABSOLUTELY no symptoms and I got my positive on 2nd October. I have no idea when I ovulated as I stopped taking my bbt as I was travelling but think I was 13DPO when I tested positive which was ridiculously faint because I tested in the afternoon!

I can't believe how long this feels! It's only been 10 days an I'm an anxious mess because I really want this and I have no reason to believe here is any issues, however I wouldn't know I was pregnant had I not have seen two lines and my period wasn't late!

Katie2908 · 13/10/2025 15:21

Welcome everyone new and congratulations 💛💛

Im feeling really up and down. Today I feel like i could burst into tears. I do have sharp cramps and almost like a constant belly ache, is this normal?

I read if its not on one side its uterus stretching and the shooting is on both sides but I am just a bit worried. It is my 3rd 12 hour shift today

JasmineBloom · 13/10/2025 17:56

Due June 20th after a miscarriage in July. I think I’m about 4 weeks 2 days, took a clearblue digital today that was 3+ weeks. It was 1-2 weeks 4 days ago so at most was hoping it might be at 2-3 weeks. So far feeling fine, no symptoms yet!

Pregnantera · 13/10/2025 18:41

Hello to the new members of the group! Congratulations on your news!

Today was my first day back at work after over a week on ‘holiday’! Nausea has not settled down and made worse by the smell of a decomposing rat at work under the floorboards. Send help! I have decided I will have to tell work what is going on as I can’t keep hiding this sickness. Feels a bit early to be telling anyone about this but I have no choice.

@Katie2908 how are you managing to work 12 hour shifts? Kudos to you! I have had cramping on and off for a few weeks, it feels really unsettling. If it’s just mild I think it will just be internal body changes and try not to worry.

Lollystar15 · 13/10/2025 19:15

Yes! Tested positive yesterday at 8dpo and due 27th June.

This will be our second living child after miscarrying in November at 7+4. Our eldest daughter is 3.5

Fluck · 13/10/2025 19:44

Congratulations to anyone finding out 💐

I keep going back & forth about an early scan. TBH I’m still struggling to believe I’m actually pregnant given I don’t really have any symptoms! I am feeling super tired and a bit down too atm (work is also stressing me out).
I’m swinging from positive to negative on an hourly basis it feels, but going with the positive mindset as much as I can. I had an early scan with my other children but I’m going on holiday in less than 2 weeks and can’t take any time off to go beforehand, so realistically won’t be able to have one until about 9 weeks. Is anyone not planning on having one?

And also, when are you thinking of telling work? I WFH and my boss lives hundreds of miles from me so I’m thinking I might wait until at least January - I feel like it’s going to come as a massive shock to them & I’m going to want to put it off!

I also can’t stop eating which is really not helpful 🤣🤣

My brain dump of the evening, just got so much going on!

Fluck · 13/10/2025 19:46

I also have a booking in appt smack bang in the middle of the day a few days after I come back from holiday and really don’t know what to do… do not want to tell work but I know that week is going to be hard work. Gah the joys!

RJF89 · 13/10/2025 20:08

@Fluck I've got a private early scanned booked for Saturday when I'll be 6+5, I just want to know it's growing and in the right place so I can stop worrying a bit 😅 I've decided I'm going to tell my manager on Monday as I've got my booking appointment with the midwife on Tuesday. It's in my work calendar as a private appointment mid afternoon already and I'll have to say what it's for to not have the time deducted. I do get on well with her though and her youngest has just turned 1 so it's very handy having one that's just been through it all herself.

DesertSnow · 13/10/2025 23:27

I spent some time this evening convincing myself I was having an ectopic due to some one-sided pain, but I think it's probably just gas as it's not unbearable, it's intermittent and not getting worse. And my digestive system has got super slow so there's that.

@ToysRus56 It's normal for symptoms to fluctuate, but it's so worrying when you're feeling them less, isn't it?

@memorablemicker Congratulations. It's really a personal choice about testing. I'm not an overtester because it makes me more anxious. You can refer to NHS whenever you like. If you are likely to be high risk and you have medical conditions, it might just be worth doing it sooner rather than later so you can be sure you can get the right support early. Booking in appointments tend to happen between 8-10 weeks.

@RJF89 Congrats on hitting 6 weeks! Feels like such a milestone.

@sleepykt Sorry the test lines aren't bringing you the reassurance you want. They definitely don't tell the whole story, various things might be making your pee more diluted etc. Fingers crossed!

Congrats @DejaBump! Lots of us on here are pretty anxious, so you're in the right place!

@Katie2908 All sounds normal to me! That's a long shift, hope you manage to squeeze in some rest too.

@JasmineBloom Congrats and sorry for your loss. Enjoy the symptomless bit!

@Pregnantera Sorry about the sickness! It sounds sensible to tell work if you're struggling.

@Lollystar15 Congrats and sorry for your loss.

@Fluck I'd say tiredness and mood swings are definitely symptoms! I've also been eating more than usual then feeling guilty as I know they will weigh at the booking in appointment (all being well at that point). I've already told my manager but she's a friend and I decided not to go into the office one day because of spotting and was honest about it. She's had three miscarriages so was v. understanding. But she is also leaving so it didn't really feel like I was kicking anything into action. Do what feels right for you, but there definitely isn't any rush. So tricky navigating time out for appointments isn't it? I have the busiest week of my work year coming up when I'll be 8 weeks so hoping my booking in will be the week after! I think we're planning a scan at the end of the month but will be going for nearer 8 weeks than 6. Though tbh after tonight's worries I'm tempted to go for an earlier one.

bluepears96 · 14/10/2025 00:16

@DesertSnowthank you Smile

I am also wondering when to tell work. We had the occy health nurse come round the office today for flu jabs so I did tell her so I could get the pregnancy version rather than the normal.

I think keeping it a secret in general has been hard. Desperate to tell people but don’t want something to go wrong and I regret it.

RJF89 · 14/10/2025 07:21

@DesertSnow I'm the same with the ectopic paranoia, I was at a film festival Sunday evening and had a on/off mild pain in my shoulder like a bra strap digging in, but I was wearing a top with a built in bra, so obviously I was worried about internal bleeding for the first half until it went 😅

Katie2908 · 14/10/2025 10:45

@Pregnantera thank you. My friend said same too. She's the only one other than my partner who knows in real life so this thread has been amazing. I think doing the 12 hour shifts has been exhausting. I want to call in sick as I am exhausted. But I don't want work to know yet as word spreads faster than fire and as im still early and anything could happen it's a risk.

@Fluck @bluepears96 i honestly dont know. I work as a nurse and was put in infectious side rooms all weekend and normally you're not meant to if you're pregnant. But again im too scared to say something yet. If morning sickness starts quite bad then ill have to tell them but so far I've only had 1 shift where I thought I was gonna vomit. Though I read it starts more I the 6 week stage!

@DesertSnow same my digestive system has slowed down! I just want to have a nice big poo and can't 😅🤣 i am so bloated I have my belly bloated then underneath a ancute little extra bump which is making me happy.

@DejaBump me too! Time is going so slow. I just can't wait for my early scan 2 weeks today but each day I wake up and im excited then nervous then panicked as I feel OTT looking at baby clothes and maternity clothes but then imagine if something happens. I just am trying to take it day by day

bluepears96 · 14/10/2025 11:13

@Katie2908as a MW I get it but you should tell your line manager/ward manager as you are putting yourself at additional risk. What you tell her is confidential. Say you want to be discreet and don’t want a big hoohaa at handover like ‘oh Katie can’t have this patient’ so you go in there and I’ll swap you for this one bla bla bla, you know how it can get!

I have my 1:1 next week so going to tell my manager then, I’ll be 5wks. There’s not much risk for me but I’m so exhausted I’d just prefer her to know so she doesn’t think there’s something actually wrong with me!

Do you have a supportive team?

Pololol · 11/10/2025 16:39

I’ve made a group for anyone who fancies it and will leave the link here if people want to join later on.
I could only make it as a community, rather than a group chat without anyone to add straight away! But it works the same, you can just pin the chat so you don’t have to click through.

Did this link work for everyone? I can’t get it to work…

TheFutureIs · 14/10/2025 17:24

Super faint line this morning at 9dpo. I had a missed miscarriage found at 13 weeks at the beginning of Sept, so would be so happy if this pregnancy continues
Tried the whatsapp link but it didn’t work for me
