@ManifestSunshine God. I could've written your post. Im literally feeling like crap. And im only 4 weeks 5 days. And I just think will it get worse? I could eat for england, sleep for england and then feel sick about it all. I also have a hormonal breakout.

I really want to push through with exercise and work. But I wouldnt even know what to say to work if I felt too unwell? Would I just push through or do I try to take care of myself. I dont even know i do love my job.

@Fluck same. I keep messaging chat GPT. It's good as it is reassuring but informative.

Pregnantera · 08/10/2025 07:58

Does anyone have any advice for morning sickness? I have been sick at least 3 times a day for 3 weeks now and I have no appetite at all so I feel scared I’m not nourishing my baby properly. Yesterday I ate two pieces of beef and a bit of pita bread, that’s all. I’m so worn down at this point with it I don’t know what to do. I have taken a week off work as holiday but going to have to go back next week like it or not.

Katie2908 · 08/10/2025 09:10

@Pregnantera I came on this thread to write similar. Im in work feel like im gonna be sick and no appetite yet yesterday I could eat for england. I feel like im gonna be sick.

Apparently you can take promethazine i have had it before being pregnant and it does make you sleepy so take night before. But double check with pharmacist or see GP.

Pregnantera · 08/10/2025 10:33

@Katie2908 I will contact my GP and see if there is something safe for baby that I can take. I’m not sure it’s healthy for me to be in this state for so long, I feel terrible. I can’t even open my fridge at this point and just feeling so weak and drained.

Katie2908 · 08/10/2025 11:20

Aww bless you. No defo go to GP, if you're being sick lots and not eaten for 24 hours and can't keep anything down, they say to go to ED/Ring 111

wonderlust07 · 08/10/2025 11:55

hey, I am due 14th June!

My period is due tomorrow so a little nervous atm but I have been having positive tests since 9dpo. Felt a little sick at the weekend but that has passed for now - it hit me hard at around 7 weeks last time!

Fluck · 08/10/2025 17:45

@Katie2908 i am feeling happy today and asked it does happiness make the loss worse (if I was to miscarriage). It said:

“After a miscarriage, the brain learns fear as a form of protection. But fear doesn’t actually reduce grief if something goes wrong — it just steals the good days you could have had in the meantime.
Letting yourself feel positive moments doesn’t jinx anything; it gives you back a little control and light during an uncertain time.”

I honestly really think it’s great for therapy ha I’ve found it so helpful. That’s really hit home for me, I’m allowed to be happy because otherwise it’s stealing the good days I could have. Even took a little bump (bloat) pic this morning 🤣

Sorry to hear people are feeling really sick. I’ve not got nausea yet but discharge and constipation. I hope you all feel better soon & get support if you need it!

freakingscared · 08/10/2025 18:17

I’m 22 dpo so 5 weeks . I have 2 children and had 2 miscarriages before so I’m extremely nervous about this one . Got my 3+ on a clearblue digital today

ManifestSunshine · 08/10/2025 19:34

@Katie2908 I think we are due date buddies? I'm due 11th June!

@Pregnantera definitely see you GP that sounds miserable. Can you take sick leave from work?

@freakingscared congrats on the 3+ digital. I'm tempted to try one but worried it won't say 3+ and will just cause more stress, I've heard stories about them never progressing beyond 2-3 sometimes even in healthy pregnancies.

Fluck · 08/10/2025 20:45

I’m going to take my digital on Sunday or Monday and pray it says 3+. I’m 20dpo - can’t stop testing every day!

Katie2908 · 08/10/2025 20:53

@Fluck oh wow I love thay quote! I will keep hold of it.

@ManifestSunshine I am a bit confused as one says June 12th other says 13th! My last period was 6th Sept.

@freakingscared im going to take one tomorrow! I just want it to say 2-3 weeks then got another one for next week to say 3+ weeks!

Im planning an early scan for 28th October but too scared to book it. So might book last min or week before

DaisyKG · 08/10/2025 21:16

Evening all - jumping on to join you all☺️ got my positive on Sunday at 8DPO - this is baby number 1 for us so feeling a little anxious. Due 19th June based on my dates🥰

Yes I had that with my oldest daughter . Thankfully I had an early scan at 6 weeks . I can completely understand the nerves of taking the digitals , I find it torture .

freakingscared · 08/10/2025 21:38

ManifestSunshine · 06/10/2025 19:09

I've got an scan booked for 23rd October when I'll be 7 weeks which feels like ages away! I've booked a counselling appointment because my anxiety levels are higher than is ideal.

It's hard to stay positive when you've been on the wrong side of statistics before but I'm trying to remember that most pregnancies end with a healthy baby.

I told work today, they knew I'd been having IVF and I need time off to attend my scan.

I have my 7 week scan booked for the 25 th it does seem like a life away doesn’t it ? I think it’s torture . I also lost my last baby at 9 to 10 weeks so even after the scan the wait for the 12 th week will be awful 😭

Katie2908 · 09/10/2025 08:24

Does anyone else feel like time is going so slow? I feel like I've been pregnant in the 4 week zone for ages!

@ManifestSunshine ohh scans on same day fingers crossed for us both

@DaisyKG Welcome and congratulations!

RJF89 · 09/10/2025 11:12

Hi everyone, I'm pregnant for the first time, due 9th June (5 weeks 3 days today). It happened relatively quickly and we're both 36 so had been preparing for a long time trying, so now I'm feeling lucky but also very anxious. I have a scan booked for the 18th when I'll be 6+5, mainly to check there's definitely something promising there and it's in the right place! Seeing the heartbeat would be a big bonus! I'm a runner (4/5 times a week), but have reduced my twice weekly 10ks to 5ks and started walking up the hills. My main symptoms are sore boobs, thirsty, mild cramps and tiredness first thing. My mum has nausea with me weeks 8-10 then really bad sickness weeks 10-12 but not with my brothers so I'm wondering if it will hit week 8 or not!

ToysRus56 · 09/10/2025 14:57

Does anyone keep worrying that they're imagining their symptoms? I keep questioning whether I actually feel sick and tired!

Fluck · 09/10/2025 15:58

Im definitely a bit freaked out by lack of symptoms and questioning. I do feel like ‘something’ in my lower stomach like I’m uber aware of it (but not sure if it’s in my head or not) but I’m more bloated so likely gas 😂
Really want sore boobs so I can stop worrying I’m imagining it all!
I think we analyse every last thing at this stage it’s such a horrible limbo phase. Once baby starts moving around & we have a bump at least then we’ll know it’s actually there!

Esssa · 09/10/2025 17:25

Oh I'm over analysing everything. I feel off but do I feel off enough. My boobs are not normal but I'm not sure I'd call them sore. I am tired but am I as tired as yesterday. It's mentally exhausting.

luhby · 09/10/2025 18:33

True, my boobs are not sore, and I don't have any nausea or food aversion yet. If it wasn't for the positive test and period delay I wouldn't know I'm pregnant 😫

Pregnantera · 09/10/2025 18:46

@Katie2908 same - I feel like I have been pregnant for months already. 😂

Welcome @RJF89 i’m 36 next week and a runner too. Unfortunately I’m quite sick so I have had to cut back more than I would have liked at this stage. Hopefully can do a bit more when this nausea passes.

@Fluck it’s an awful limbo stage, I have symptoms at least but just would prefer reassurance from a doctor that everything is going ok.

ManifestSunshine · 09/10/2025 18:48

I feel like you can't win in early pregnancy - no/mild symptoms and it's tempting to worry about lack of symptoms, but if you do have loads of symptoms that's no fun either.

Time is moving SO slowly @Katie2908 . I think the early weeks and the final weeks of pregnancy feel like they take forever.

@freakingscared I also had a previous loss after successful viability scans, so it's going to be a long old wait to 12 weeks. But every positive test or successful scan is another step closer to a gorgeous newborn. 🙏

RJF89 · 09/10/2025 18:53

@Pregnantera hopefully your nausea passes soon! And happy birthday for next week!

SummerLover89 · 09/10/2025 18:57

Congrats everyone else who has joined! Just wanted to say thank you for the encouraging words and sharing your experiences/worries that are similar to mine before, really helped and reassured. I had some bleeding yesterday, just a random flash and no pain or anything since but have been in for early scan today and everything looks where it should be at this stage (5w2d), just a gestational sac and a yolk sac, though you can't see a heartbeat this early apparently. And my HCG was rising well when tested Monday and Wednesday. Still no sore boobs or sickness though, but was told this can also be normal this early and some may never get any symptoms. Trying to remain calm and positive (though it's hard not to overthink these things).

Katie2908 · 09/10/2025 19:36

I had my 2-3 week positive test today which i was so happy about!
I wouldnt worry too much about symptoms as some are sensitive to hormones more than others like when I was on the pill I was crazy so had to come off it years ago and i just thought about all those people who could have the depo, implant etc and not be affected by itand haven't been on any since so I think thats why im really sensitive to symptoms now xx
