Thanks everyone for kind words about my dad. It's been pretty horrible.
Lovely to see some newcomers, congratulations all.
Food is so challenging isn't it? I feel like I have to eat so much more to keep myself from being more sick and I mostly just want crisps and salt! I've completely gone off chocolate which is exactly the same as when I was pregnant with my now toddler.
My booking appointment isn't until I'm 11+1 which feels very late especially after significant mental health problems I had last time postpartum, but I called them up and they said they had nothing earlier.
My work is very intense this moment and we just had our busiest week of the year, which between grief and symptoms was a real struggle. I'd like to ask for some time off but not sure how that would be received.
@SummerSolstice25 This time sickness hit at around 6 weeks, but when I was pregnant with my daughter it didn't hit me till about 7 and a half weeks. My cousin is just out of the first trimester and she had no sickness whatsoever, so it definitely can happen. Another friend had no sickness or symptoms the whole way through.
@sparklerr Sorry to hear you've been poorly with Covid, yep unfortunately our immune systems take a real battering while pregnant so you'll definitely have felt it more.
We told my husband's family today and had this cute little reveal planned and it was a bit underwhelming today because it turns out one of his brothers had suspected and had gone and told everyone else that I was probably pregnant. So no one was surprised and it was all a bit underwhelming in the end. It wasn't like we'd been planning a massive surprise, just we wanted to tell them all together. It's ok but it feels like a bit of magic was taken away from it tbh.
