I’ve also gone off all food it seems! I’m living off water, apple juice and raspberries and yogurt

SummerSolstice25 · 01/11/2025 09:48

Any room for another anxiety riddled pregnant lady? I’m 5 + 4 and I don’t have any symptoms. I had my blood test on the 23rd and tested 2+3 on digital on the 24th, I’ve been too afraid to test again since then. What week did you all start getting symptoms? I’m seeing people feeling tired and nauseous pretty much from the get go and I can’t help but compare myself!

Niknak8493 · 01/11/2025 09:53

Welcome @SummerSolstice25 always room for more people! Have you had your results back from the blood test? Everyone is different. My sister in law is 5months pregnant and she’s not had a single pregnancy symptom other than the fact her belly is growing. No sickness nothing. She’s been very lucky. Ans a lot of people don’t show symptoms at 5 weeks, I just googled it at only 50% of people show symptoms at 5 weeks so please don’t stress too much 😊

SummerSolstice25 · 01/11/2025 10:01

@Niknak8493 i was 285 on the 23rd which was 4 weeks and 2 day. Nothing taken since, just a scan booked for two weeks time.

Niknak8493 · 01/11/2025 10:04

Two weeks feels like a long time doesn’t it. Your numbers should keep rising hopefully 🤞 the first 12 weeks are so anxiety ridden 😂

Hi all, I've been reading through this thread as I'm currently in the early days anxiety mode. This is my second pregnancy (I have a 16 month old) and I thought I'd be more chilled this time around but sadly that's not the case!
I'm 5wks + 5. When I went to the toilet throughout yesterday and wiped I noticed the lightest hue of pink. It started to worry me and then last night, maybe an hour after I went to bed, I woke up to go to the loo and saw a streak of pink in the toilet. During the night I went to the loo again and more pink/light red when wiping. Although has tailed off this morning. I'm dreading going to the loo again as I don't want to wipe and see more.
I don't feel pregnant, so that also worries me, but if I think back to 2 years ago during my first pregnancy my main symptom was cramping as my body readied itself - I'm thinking that this time my uterus isn't needing to stretch as much since it's already done it. The first time around I also had aching boobs but I can't remember when that symptom started, so trying not to stress about that. Otherwise I was very fortunate last time and didn't have any other symptoms, no sickness or nausea. Trying to remind myself of that and not automatically assume I'm not pregnant because I don't feel it. Difficult though!
I did have some light spotting last pregnancy but it was further along than this which is probably why I'm fearing the worst this time. My husband is going away for work Mon-Wed next week so I'm solo parenting, I have no family nearby, and I don't know what I'll do if I am miscarrying.
Also I'm a bit annoyed as only yesterday morning we told the first people the news. Last pregnancy I didn't want to do this - I've tried to be a bit more relaxed about it this time, but now I feel like I've tempted fate! Ridiculous I know, but can't shake the feeling off.
Just wanted to offload as not sure what to do with all these feelings.

Niknak8493 · 01/11/2025 12:26

Hi @Dee51121 the anxiety is awful isn’t it. I’d usually say go to a&e but honestly weekends are awful, you sit there for 6 hours only for them to say they can’t scan at weekends. I’d see how it goes over the weekend, you can always call doctors and ask for a blood test to see if your HCG levels are in the right range for your stage of pregnancy and see if Early pregnancy unit can see you to try relieve your anxiety. Light bleeding can be normal for some. There’s been women in here who have had red blood and they’ve gone on to see a heartbeat. Try take it as easy as possible, I know it’s not easy when you have a 16 month old at home already 😊

RJF89 · 01/11/2025 13:40

@Dee51121 I had some pink and it went away after 6 nights of thrush pessaries so it's worth giving your GP a call, especially if it seems thicker than blood would be.

@SummerSolstice25 I think I was 6 weeks when my nausea started, but we do seem to be early starters on this group! Mine could have been anxiety too 😅

Dee51121 · 01/11/2025 13:49

@Niknak8493 @RJF89 thanks for the replies, I appreciate the advice. I think I'll see what happens over the next couple of days and then book in with the GP early next week

DesertSnow · 01/11/2025 21:41

Hi everyone, sorry I've been quiet on here. My dad unexpectedly died on Tuesday and it's been a really awful few days. I'm really sad I didn't tell him I was pregnant when I last spoke to him.

Welcome to newcomers and just on the bleeding front - I'm still getting some bits of bleeding but at my scan on Friday the haematoma had definitely got a bit smaller over the previous 10 days, and we saw baby measuring 8+2 - giving me a current due date of 10th June which is also my birthday.

I usually try to reply to all the messages but I am severely lacking in anything to give right now I'm afraid. Losing a parent while pregnant feels a new level of heartbreaking.

SummerSolstice25 · 01/11/2025 23:15

@DesertSnow I’m so sorry to hear about your dad. What an awful shock for you. Focus on yourself, give yourself time and don’t worry about being on here, unless you want to be. I’m sure you just feel numb right now 😔

Niknak8493 · 01/11/2025 23:21

@DesertSnowI’m so sorry to hear that terrible news! Yes I can imagine there’s lots of emotions right now! Focus on yourself, we are here if you need to talk or if you don’t. Sending you my condolences

Fluck · 02/11/2025 09:27

@DesertSnow so sorry to hear this, I don’t know if you are religious or not but I believe your dad is now looking down at you and will know about your little baby 💐 sending hugs

Pregnantera · 02/11/2025 10:59

@DesertSnow i’m so sorry for your loss. Please take care of yourself and just know that when you feel up to it, we are here to talk!

RJF89 · 02/11/2025 17:33

@DesertSnow So sorry about your Dad 😔 We're here for you but don't feel you need to be on here. Take care of yourself and growing your raspberry xx

Juicytoot287 · 02/11/2025 17:42

@DesertSnow hey, I’m a bit behind you pregnancy wise, but my mum passed away last month so I completely understand the conflicting emotions. If you need to talk to someone going through similar - let me know.
its a new level of grief, grieving for a relationship they can’t have.

Summer022 · 03/11/2025 20:54

Hi all, could I join? I’m 10 weeks and due on 1st June! 12 week scan is 21st November. I’m so nauseous and willing myself to get to the end of the first trimester quickly 🤣 I have gone off all food, my sense of smell is so heightened meaning I hate the smell of my own home 😭 I have a 2 year old and work full time. Will be lovely to chat to others who are also pregnant at this time x

FirstTimeMumJun26 · 03/11/2025 21:04

Hi, first time mum here! Just had my first private scan. All looking well. Measuring 8 weeks 6 days with estimated due date 9th of June. I didn't get a period after coming off the implant so had to guess roughly how far along I was prior to the scan and wasn’t too far off! Anyone had their first midwife appointment yet?

Pregnantera · 03/11/2025 21:17

Hello ladies and welcome!

@Summer022 I’m due on the 5 June but baby is measuring 2 days ahead so whether this will be changed to 3rd June I don’t know yet. I’m on countdown too - the sickness has been unreal! My husband was out this evening and I tried to open the fridge to feed myself but I was sick instead. I can’t cope much longer.

@FirstTimeMumJun26 i’m a first time Mum too. I had my first midwife appointment at 7 weeks - be prepared for a blood test, I wasn’t and I hate those things!

FirstTimeMumJun26 · 03/11/2025 21:25

@Pregnantera thank you! I’m in the process of moving house and switching GPs so haven’t booked my first appointment yet but hoping to get that sorted this week! Good to know about the blood test.

Ditto with the sickness! It hit me hard last week and i ended up having to take a couple days of work as it was constant and I couldn’t keep anything down. Doctor prescribed me some anti sickness tablets which eventually helped but hope that’s the worst of it 😅

Summer022 · 03/11/2025 21:42

@Pregnantera i have been living on ice lollies and soup - I am the same with the fridge, as soon as I open it I am sick 😭 it’s getting unbearable. I can’t remember when the sickness eased with my first but I’m praying it’s soon!

SummerLover89 · 03/11/2025 23:03

I'm glad I'm not alone with the fridge! I have to hold my breath to open it, my worst enemy right now

RJF89 · 04/11/2025 10:05

@Summer022 Welcome! I've mostly got away with mild nausea that's just making me nibble unhealthy things all the time, I'm 9 weeks tomorrow so I'm just waiting out the next 3 weeks to see if the sickness hits! And when I go downstairs in the mornings the plug in smells very strong at first 😅

@FirstTimeMumJun26 Hi! I'm just a day behind you and this is my first baby too. My current NHS due date is the 1st but I thought I was more like the 8th as I have longer cycles and knew when I ovulated. I had a private scan at 6+3 which put me at the 10th so I'll see if it's the same when I have my first NHS scan on the 19th. I had my first midwife appointment 2 weeks ago which did seem quick/early but they do think I'm further along and I called up the day after I found out.

SummerSolstice25 · 05/11/2025 12:21

Those of you with sickness, when did it hit you? I’m 6+1 and nothing yet, I’m a little worried that I’m feeling nothing at all.

sparklerr · 05/11/2025 12:40

Hello to all the new people!
The past week I’ve been sick with Covid and it has absolutely floored me. Spent Friday-Monday in bed with sinus congestion, headache, cough, breathlessness, basically the full list of symptoms! Felt a good bit better yesterday so was up and about (nothing major, just showered and cooked a pot of soup) only to feel worse again today 😫 I’m very queasy and upset stomach and can’t tell whether it’s pregnancy or Covid!
Had an early scan last Thursday and it was very reassuring but of course now I’m worried again after having been so sick! Been taking paracetamol which meant my temperature never got worryingly high at least.
Wondering if anyone else has been ill since being pregnant? Do bugs hit worse because of the extra pressure on our immune systems?
