This is my goal weight picture 😂😂 x.

Haha you're kind! I think it's those new maternity yoga pants holding me all in! There's definitely more flub than bump at the moment. I'm sure it'll pop eventually. Just another thing my brain has decided to worry about.

Nynm23 · 01/10/2025 23:35

@WanderWalker A maternity physio can prescribe one for you. We can be referred via our midwives here in NIGoing that route would mean it’s a proper fit for you. I was offered one but was going for c section 2 weeks later so declined but regretting now as it would be super helpful this time around.

I’m not sure if this is something they do in my area, but I will defo ask the midwife at my appointment next week. Thank you 😊

I've started with PGP and the heavy feeling. I got this previously, but only in the final couple of weeks, not this early 😓

Aw bless you. That’s awful especially with a little one to look after too.
mine was horrendous in the last few weeks of pregnancy with my last baby. I could barely stand up off the sofa 😐 so hoping it’s not the same! Xx

The heartburn has got me, in for a long ass night!

Henbags · 03/10/2025 09:35

Have any of you ladies been feeling tight chested at all? This morning I walked to the top of the stairs and felt quite out of breath, that's the first time I've felt this way so far. Sometimes feel a bit tight across my chest, but I'm presuming that it's because my lungs are starting to get squashed/moved out the way a bit by the little fella. I'll be 24 weeks on Monday.

Yes I’ve been getting this for over a month now (I’ll be 28 weeks on Sunday). Mine is tight whenever I do the stairs or walk for a bit. I am also finding if I lay in certain positions in bed I get the same tight feeling in my chest. I’m gathering it due to less space for your lungs as they move further up? It makes me feel about a 100 though 🤣

Negative - however have secured a prescription for omeprazole as the acid is making me sick again. It never ends!

Thegirlhasnamechanged · 03/10/2025 11:36

@Henbags very much so! I’m left feeling like an asthmatic old lady whenever I walk anywhere (particularly at any sort of speed). I had to catch my breath after tying my shoes for the school run this morning too

I'm with you there! Makes me feel like I'm in my 80s. These kids really take over the whole body! It's my second so I should know better, but I'm 4 years older now ha.

I’m 26+5 with my third. About this time in my past pregnancies I was told I was anaemic so I’m kind of hoping I am again and I’m not just old before my time (I’m not even 35 until the middle of next year)

not sure anaemia would explain why I’ve developed mild insomnia though. Annoying as anything.

Sunshinemoom · 03/10/2025 19:21

I’ve had a mere of a day, ended up in triage for reduced movement they managed to listen to baby boy. He’s all good. But I mentioned about my tummy going rock hard then soft not painful or anything for the last 3 days and I did have bad cramps the other day put it down to doing to much.

oh no turns out I could of been in pre term labour so ended up having to wait for my consultant who did my stitch a few weeks back, they urgently scanned me to check my cervix length and if I was dilating thankfully cervix had gone longer than before my stitch was placed. Consultant happy for me to go home thinks it was painless Braxton Hicks, but been told any cramps or my tummy going hard again got to go straight back as could be signs of pre term labour. Basically been told bed rest and to pack me and baby’s bags as they think I’ll have him early.

one point they were discussing moving me to our closest hospital Oxford who can deal if baby comes before 28 weeks.

Oh glad everything turnt put all good but I would of shit! (Sorry for language) what a day that turnt out but its good they was on ball and didnt fob you off!

I thought braxton hicks was part of it i seem to get them quite abit tbh, I dont recall them with my first. So are they more dodgy with the likes of us who could possibly got into preterm labour?

Bet you feel like you need to be extra prepared now xxx
