Baby will prob be here by the time all that faffing is done ha. And midwife said about the drink and bloods, im 38 weeks thursday so just find it all abit well what's the point obviously its for after care with baby but by the time I get results and diet plans ect he will be here hopefully xx

Yeah he probably will be. I hope he is. On the way to my diabetes appointment, bumped into the consultant who put my stitch in. And he apologised about the care I’ve been getting and how I don’t have a c section date. They struggling with dates because of Xmas! I did say to him I’m trying for a vbac but keep my section date please just in case I need it.

shocked they doing the drink as I thought after 34 weeks they just did blood test what I was researching last night. Yeah by the time they do diet plans etc baby will be here. But good to know just in case baby needs help after birthday xx

@Jadeypie I've been referred for a GD test next Tuesday because they found slightly too much amniotic fluid at my growth scan yesterday. Do you have GD?

I had high sugar in my urine sample at the midwife so shes sent me for a gd test tomorrow, she said i should of been tested earlier for it anyway with having both parents with diabetes. But I dont think I have it im assuming it was the big bowl of crunchy nut I had a hour before seeing her. Ive not had any scans since my 20 week xxx

Fingers crossed for all of you having your glucose tests I hope they are all negative 🤞🏻❤️

I’m really struggling it’s pretty much ruined the last part of my pregnancy. All my readings were under and then this last week they are all way over eating the same things I wasn’t spiking on a week ago. I am living on bare min food and feel hungry all the time. I feel for people who have had it in every pregnancy it’s making me completely miserable 😓

TigerLily38 · 17/12/2025 01:14

Just catching up ladies...wow these babies are keeping everyone on their toes for sure! Sorry to hear some of you have been struggling recently and hope everyone is feeling better soon ❤️

@Thegirlhasnamechanged congratulations!! Hope you and baby are doing well 🥰❤️

TigerLily38 · 17/12/2025 08:02

@Jadeypie aww I'm doing ok thank you, 4 weeks until my ELCS if she stays put until then but I'm convinced she will come early! 🤣 been having growth scans and she was apparently around the 80th percentile and 5.5lbs at the last one...explains why her kicks hurt so much lol😆 how are you lovely? Xx

WanderWalker · 17/12/2025 08:54

@Jadeypie I’m 38+3 and have my ELC next week so I am officially on the countdown. It’s just been really tough. I do have a mental list of all the lovely things I want to eat afterwards 🤣

oh the fasting is horrible 😣 I hope your test passes quickly and that you get that negative result! 🤞🏻 xx

My consultant said they'd still do a section but they'd class it as an emergency rather than an elective, happened to my friend the day after her pre op for an elective lol 😆

Aww not a moaning cow at all hahaha I think having a little moan really helps us all cope, pregnancy is a tough journey 😆 feels neverending sometimes doesn't it! In some ways it's gone quick but in others I'm like how is there still weeks to go 🙈 aww hope your gd test goes well!! How long does it take? Really hope your little man makes his appearance on the weekend 🤭 what a lovely early christmas present that would be for you all xx

Aww so excited for you that your ELC is so soon! How lovely ❤️ Do you have any tips for a c section hospital bag/recovery? I keep watching tiktoks trying to make lists haha 🤭xx

Gizmo1983 · 17/12/2025 10:42

@Gizmo1983yssh I honestly didn’t know what they was going to say due to originally wanted the c section. Which they still gonna book me in for if he hasn’t come by that date. I hope the babies both come quickly for us. I’ve started to get a lot of pressure down below again. And I’m upping my activity levels so hopefully help the baby come 🤣🤣 x

I had really bad trapped gas last time, so I’ve packed chewing gum and peppermint tea. It’s supposed to help relieve it. I’ve seen busopan mint can also help so I’ve got some of that for home. Just make sure all the underwear you pack is nice and high, so it doesn’t rub on your c section. I’ve done myself a little caddy for home with essentials in so I have it all to hand or my partner can pass me it over. I saw that idea on tik tok 🤣 it’s got paracetamol/ibru, spare pants, maternity pads, breast pads, face wipes, nipple cream etc in it. Easy to carry into the bathroom too.
oh and put a pillow in the car for the journey home and pop it over your c section scar it’s a life saver and makes the car ride a bit more comfortable 😊 xxx

WanderWalker · 17/12/2025 12:56

@TigerLily38 just to add to that list…a long phone charger with a clothes peg. You can clip the end to the bed so you don’t have to reach down to get it if it falls on the floor or your partner has gone home 😊 xx

10/10 tips for the gas relief. Also ask the midwife’s can they give you anything, I was given something but I think it was just a peppermint supplement but anything to help.

I seen something on tik tok maybe, about drinking an isotonic drink, like lucozade sport before your liquids cut off e.g., midnight before section and then another when you’ve come out of surgery. I did that and I had a relatively smooth recovery - who knows if that helped but I’m just going to try to do everything the same in the hope. Also a decent carby meal the night before and a decent sleep if possible.

All the chat if babies arriving and imminent c sections have kicked me into gear this week and I’ve started my hospital bag.

Excited (ever so slightly jealous) for you lot so close to the end and having your babes in arms ❤️

Thegirlhasnamechanged · 17/12/2025 14:17

baby girl is needing phototherapy and an extended stay in hospital due to pretty bad jaundice levels. Can’t wait to get home but know she’s in the best place to get healthy. I’m cautiously optimistic for the weekend but who knows at this point

DD and DS are coming to the ward to meet her later and I can’t wait to give them a massive cuddle.

Gizmo1983 · 17/12/2025 16:03

Just out of growth scan baby has dropped to 9th centile which is just one centile but not idea also breech so waiting to see consultant to see what they say want to do. Ugh thumbs are never straight forward are they xx
seen consultant so I have to decide ininday if I want stitch out and they manually turn her with a muscle relaxant or they leave stitch in and do a c section at 37 weeks if growth maintains or 37 if growth drops more. I also have to keep an eye on movement xxx

@Gizmo1983oh what a nightmare. When do you see the consultant? Never straight forward it’s really not. Got any idea what you would like to do? And when your 37 weeks again? After Christmas? Xxx
