Silly reasons you cried during pregnancy ? Keep me entertained!

I’m 11 weeks pregnant and crying over everything . I’m overly emotional , I seen a video on tiktok of a dog being adopted and sobbed uncontrollably for hours . Today I went to a funday with my niece and it was full of elderly just sitting all together with their tea , I also sobbed 😭 anyone else wanna share why they cried ?? Is it normal to be this emotional ?? I need a good read and laugh !

I cried when DP brought home a bag of tangerines because I had low iron levels and the midwife said I should take citrus fruit with the supplements to help absorption. I was all blubbering and going “Thank you for the fruit! I love you! I love the baby! Waaaahh!”.

After she was born I cried at Neil Diamond doing Forever In Blue Jeans and also at an advert for Colmans shepherds pie mix

My husband started doing the dishes and in my unreasonable pregnancy brain that meant I wasn't allowed to finish my lunch

I cried at the Eddie the Eagle film with Taren Egerton 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Then I cried when my pregnancy craving of a big mac came when it was the breakfast menu and I couldn't get one so I sat in the car park for an hour 🤣🤣

I cried at Peter Pan 2 return to neverland when my son was a baby

That’s so valid , my partner has been amazing and anytime he picks up my craving I cry 🤣

How dare he 🤣🤣🤣

Every advert for the Snowman and the snowdog (which I couldn't bring myself to actually watch) in case the dog melted. After DS was born DH gifted me a little snowdog teddy who will never melt.

Many times related to food availability.

also at old people holding hands

Was absolutely inconsolable when my tomato plant blew over in the wind and snapped. Devastated 😭

I dropped a scoop of peas on the floor and I just couldn't even reach to pick them up as I was so large lol so I just cried at my uselessness 😆
My husband was there to help but of course I couldn't see past the peas and my roundness 😆😆
We laugh so much about it now.

I cried due to a waiter being friendly the other day. Just made me feel emotional!

Other than that, a lot of TV adverts. This one where an owner is waiting for his dog to come back from the vet gets me every time.

-I couldn’t have a third dinner the day before my C-section cause they told me nil by mouth from midnight.
-It snowed and the baby was missing it because he wasn’t out for another 3m
-First kick I cried and I puked because it was revolting. It was nicer after the first time 😆
-My fancy bra didn’t fit anymore, cause the tatas were spilling from the top (plot twist: 5y later I still use my maternity bras and bf bras. Scr€w my fancy lace)
-And the John Lewis xmas advert was soooo cuuuuute.

I wept buckets when I cooked cauliflower and forgot to add the water. I sat on my back step sobbing that was going to be a terrible mother because I couldn't even cook cauliflower. How would my child even survive! She is an adult now and survived just fine!

I burst into tears in the bakery because they were out of cheese rolls. Hormones are evil.

I didnt have any crying episodes during pregnany that I can remember, but a week or so after giving birth I cried uncontrollably because I couldn't remember my pin number for my bank card 😅

Think Kathryn or Catherine Same name slightly different spellings.
I had two sleepless nights.

I was invited to a lovely whole school assembly at the end of dc1's first year at our new infant school (we'd moved house mid-Y1). I thought it a shame that only about 30 parents attended, and it was obvious that the school didn't expect many to attend as they'd laid out the right number of seats.

Suddenly the penny dropped: this Thank You Assembly was not a secularThanksgiving Service, it was a specific Thank You to each and every parent who had volunteered for the school during that year.

I was in absolute bits. The parents around me kept checking I was OK. I tried desperately to stifle my sobs, but apparently that gave me a face that, combined with the way I was holding my mahoosive bump, made them think I was in labour!

I was a real softy head case in that pregnancy. Everything set me off. I even sobbed when I went to vote.

My mum bought me some orange scented shower gel and I cried because any food smells at all made me start puking again.

As well as crying I also used to get cross. Dh went to the garage to buy 2 bags of jelly tots for my dinner (I had horrendous hyperemesis and at one point was eating mainly sugar). He came back minus jelly tots, I sent him back to ask as I knew they had some but not in the place you’d expect. He returned with them.

i cried when being sick when pregnant with dc2. Dc1 was very sweet, rubbing my back and making vomit noises in solidarity (she was 3 at the time)

I had serious cravings for icy stuff and sour stuff. DH decided we should go on a date to the cinema and the thing I was looking forward to the most about it was the lemon slushies. When we got there the machine was broken. I broke down into full on sobs, I just couldn’t stop myself, I knew it was a complete overreaction but I just wanted that slushie so so bad.

I very rarely cry so found the breaking into random tears part of pregnancy quite hard.
