I’m 11 weeks pregnant and crying over everything . I’m overly emotional , I seen a video on tiktok of a dog being adopted and sobbed uncontrollably for hours . Today I went to a funday with my niece and it was full of elderly just sitting all together with their tea , I also sobbed 😭 anyone else wanna share why they cried ?? Is it normal to be this emotional ?? I need a good read and laugh !

When Frosty the Snowman melted.

I cried watching a programme about a mountain about a week after I had DS. There were no people in the preceding few minutes of the programme just some nice music and drone shots and I was absolutely overcome Grin

Also remember very dramatically crying and falling onto the bed because I was tired and it was a bit tricky to get my socks on

Thanks to all day sickness that felt like a never ending savage hangover, I could only face eating Chinese from one take away which was about an hour round trip away. DH returned home, starting unpacking dinner and discovered they hadn’t included my crispy seaweed and with a look of panic in his eyes let me know the bad news. I burst in to tears, full on snotty ugly crying because I was hungry and I’d been looking forward to it all day and they didn’t send it. I can’t remember what happened after that, but I can remember the sheer devastation I felt at it!!

I cried at 40 weeks when I asked DH to go and get me a kitkat and he bought back a peanut Kit Kat chunky. I just wanted a normal Kit Kat and I cried a lot 😅😅

About 4 months in, i threw up lentils. One lentil came out of my nose and I was so upset it'd been parted from it's friends who'd come out of my mouth!

Another day I cried because a lovely friendly dog sniffed my ear and it was really loud.

SwankyPants · 09/08/2025 21:40

I put a bag of malteasers in my hubby's work bag that he wasn't expecting and he didn't message me to acknowledge 🙈🙄

SwankyPants · 09/08/2025 21:43

And I cried listening to Nelly Furtado's I'm Like A Bird - I cried because birds didn't have a home.

Justtryingthis · 09/08/2025 21:43

Because I couldn’t get the lid off the kettle to make a cup of tea
Because the lady on the pizza counter in Asda wouldn’t let me have a half and half pizza which I’d had every week for months to eat whilst watching X Factor.

I learnt that Free Willy the orca was a real whale who lived in those awful conditions, the tank in the film was really where that orca lived! I watched the documentary about how they tried to release it into the wild but it couldn't cope with it and kept coming back. Sobbed for days. Then became obsessed with whales for the rest of my pregnancy

Cried because Tesco were out of strawberry laces (the cheap kind) I’d been thinking about them all morning and drove up on my lunch break to get some. Proper trembling bottom lip when I saw the empty cardboard tray. I ate a full pack the next day and couldn’t stand then after!

Aboutmeabouttime · 09/08/2025 21:51

Cried at the testing of the fire alarm in Sainsbury’s (announced) - public and very hard to explain!

MaryTheTurtle · 09/08/2025 22:17

When I was a 6 months pregnant if anyone asked me how I was, I cried! It makes no sense

Itsnottheheatitsthehumidity · 09/08/2025 22:23

No popcorn at my local shop when I was eating lorryloads of it to see off nausea. Why? WHY??

reversegear · 09/08/2025 22:24

Because my DH said I looked like an oranagtang!!

Mufflette · 09/08/2025 22:33

Taking the Christmas tree down, I was in bits!

Tofu35 · 09/08/2025 22:36

I was craving a tuna baked potato all week, and as soon as my husband made me one I started to cry because the smell was making me nauseous.

SabrinaThwaite · 09/08/2025 23:01

When Princess Diana died I was about 12 weeks pregnant and hormones fully kicked in. No idea why I was so teary as I had always been completely uninterested.

More tears when I discovered that the shelves at the local video store had been cleared by everyone that couldn’t bear the 24/7 news coverage too.

TaraRhu · 09/08/2025 23:18

Baby animals on tv. Every time.

PassportPhotosAreHorrific · 09/08/2025 23:32

In pregnancy one, I cried because Tesco didn't have any cheese and onion pasties.

And then just last week (pregnancy 2) I cried because there were flies in the kitchen.

Dyra · 09/08/2025 23:39

I wanted a bowl of Coco Pops, but couldn't as 1. We'd just left the house to go to work, and 2. We didn't have any Coco Pops anyway.

Flyball during Crufts. The doggies were all having so much fun and didn't care if they won or lost. 🥹

PoorUncleBarry · 09/08/2025 23:39

I cried because I'd been vegetarian for years after watching a documentary on meat production and there was a cow with a bolt gun ... so naturally my first and primary craving from almost the beginning of pregnancy, was meat. I phoned my lovely MIL and sobbed like a mad woman, I muttered gibberish about craving burnt chicken but the poor cowwwwwww between sobs. She has let me live it down tbf.

coffeeandflipflops · 10/08/2025 01:13

The shop put ham on my salad instead of chicken.

The shop was a 3 minute walk from my house...

MrsFionaCharming · 10/08/2025 03:29

DH and I have a silly inside joke if we see a bird of prey. One of us will say “that’s a bird bird” and the other will reply “but it’s not Big Bird” as in, the giant yellow bird from Sesame Street.

Once we had that exchange whilst I was pregnant and I cried because I realised it would never be Big Bird. I was absolutely overcome at the thought of never seeing a giant mupper fly overhead.

CloseTheCurtainsPlease · 10/08/2025 04:01

The subway sandwich I'd just had delivered had been toasted when I asked for it not to be toasted. The worst part was I didn't just cry to myself, I had rung the store up to complain/try and get an untoasted one delivered instead and I burst out crying to the poor young lad who had answered the phone. He was definitely not used to handling extremely hormonal pregnant women who just want an untoasted sandwich!

autienotnaughty · 10/08/2025 05:19

I cried on more than one occasion listening to radio 1 when they said - In new music we trust. - no clue why.
