I’m 11 weeks pregnant and crying over everything . I’m overly emotional , I seen a video on tiktok of a dog being adopted and sobbed uncontrollably for hours . Today I went to a funday with my niece and it was full of elderly just sitting all together with their tea , I also sobbed 😭 anyone else wanna share why they cried ?? Is it normal to be this emotional ?? I need a good read and laugh !

I full on cried because my hamster was alone in her cage (they are supposed to be) and that she would never know love from another hamster 🤣 my partner at the time was in bits laughing at me 😅

Whenever the Lloyds TSB advert with the horses on the beach came on. No idea why but I’d always get choked up

My brother looked at me… that’s it. I had to leave the lunch table. Mortified.

DH and I had a minor row about a hoover but in my 35+ week state of pregnancy I didn't handle it well. My late DGM had given us her old one when we moved in to our flat. It was already about a million years old, then plus our 5 or 6 years using it, it wasn't working very well. DH suggested (reasonably) that should get a new one when we moved into our new house.

I cried and cried, saying he clearly didn't respect my dead grandmother, had he ever liked her at all, etc etc. And then I was annoyed about the environmental impact of throwing it away because it was "just fine" and "only needed some adjustments". DH was totally bemused!

(Btw I gave the hoover back to DM, and she and DSF fixed it by replacing one tiny part. She had that thing for 11 years and it only gave up the ghost completely last year. So ha, DH!)

The Lloyd’s tab advert with the black horse used to leave me in floods when I was pregnant with my eldest.

I cried while watching one of those music videos where everyone is doing a set of dance steps and then it flicks to other groups of people doing the same dance in different places. So lovely to see so many people all happy and dancing and cooperating! Sob!

I’m only just reading all these now and it was the best read of my life makes me feel better that I’m not alone 🤣 pregnancy hormones are so weird !

Our tea towel didn’t match our oven gloves, and surely our guests would judge us as unfit parents due to that.

Broke my heart sobbing over that.

Lemonadeat8 · 10/08/2025 09:24

I never cried at all. My hormones didn’t change at all but maybe it’s because I was so young I just went with the flow.

WhereAreWeNow · 10/08/2025 09:24

I cried because the hairdresser cut my fringe too short.

I cried because the hairdresser cut my fringe too short.

I’d cry pregnant or not if that happened 🤣

Anna713 · 10/08/2025 17:08

This really going to age me but I cried when Gail Tilsley in Corronation street had baby Nicky Tilsley and I was 40 weeks pregnant and didn't think I'd ever give birth to my baby. I did actually give birth 2 days later! Over 44 years ago now and I still remember how upset I was

OnlyYellowRoses · 10/08/2025 17:37

Hyperemesis and only wanted lemon flavour things. My stupid brain decided at 5pm on a Sunday that it only wanted lemon meringue pie to eat. 14 shops later and no pie to be found either fresh or frozen so I properly sobbed my heart out in the car on the way home.
My amazing DH then phoned all our local restaurants and came to greet his ‘in bed and sobbing blob’ of a wife holding the BIGGEST piece of pie aloft like some Neolithic Hunter Gatherer 😬 he was so proud and I then sobbed again whilst eating the pie as I was so happy 😂

My pet’s birthday. It felt like a countdown to their death! (They are still not half-way to their life expectancy and live very well!)

katmarie · 10/08/2025 17:55

Oh god. I cried because SIL (dh sister) was a lovely person, and that meant the baby was going to have a lovely family. No idea what brought it on, and my side of the family are perfectly lively too, but for some reason I sobbed over that thought.

chilliheeler123 · 10/08/2025 18:05

Food seems to be a very common theme here 🤣

I was about 13 weeks, finally getting over feeling sick as a dog and suddenly fancied a carvery. We got there 5 minutes before they stopped serving, but all the food was still out on the counter. We only wanted a takeaway but they wouldn’t let us have one because they’d already received Too Good To Go orders 🥲 I cried like a toddler when we got in the car because I’d been so looking forward to eating something that wasn’t toast!

Also cried when I heard someone playing the piano in St Pancras station. The pianist wasn’t actually very good, but I was clearly very moved by the piece 🤣🤣🤣🤣

whatisforteamum · 11/08/2025 08:32

A week after DD was born i cried at the music from the ice cream van telling DH I would have bought her one if she was old enough.🤣🤣

Helloanne1234 · 11/08/2025 08:35

Not so much funny but I’m 12 weeks PP and just cried because I was sitting with both my girls in a patch of early morning sun thinking “this is where I’ll come back to in my dreams when I’m 90” 😭😭😭

JollyRoseBiscuit · 11/08/2025 08:39

I am not pregnant... and had a baby over 7 month ago. Im not due on my period but regardless, tears in my eyes reading some of these. Completely understandable ha.

Ohwelldone · 11/08/2025 10:37

Also 11 weeks, I've cried trying to read my son's school report out to my partner when it said nice things. I cried watching celebrity shark infested water when they did a dive with hammerhead sharks because they were so majestic 😅🤣 ... I do not remember being this emotional in my previous pregnancies!

PrancerandDancer · 11/08/2025 11:13

We ordered a pizza, I didn't have much appetite when pregnant and mainly lived on cheese on toast.

The takeaway ran out of small bases, so delivered us a medium, no extra charge.

I sobbed as I didn't know what to do with the leftover pizza, the poor delivery driver! He thought we'd be over the moon with the upgrade (my husband was and apologized to the poor lad and explained I was pregnant and unreasonable!) 😂

Argh25 · 11/08/2025 12:03

Sobbed because:

  • I couldn't reach the food waste bin and my husband moved it to somewhere I could reach it without help
  • someone sent an email to me meant for someone else - totally boring email, "here's the agenda for today's meeting"
  • I woke up and thought my husband had painted our bedroom without telling me (he'd left the light on before work)
  • I locked my husband in the garden shed by accident when his phone was in the house (he wasn't angry, just desperate for the loo)
  • I saw a pair of baby socks while out shopping
  • I saw a toddler eating an egg for the first time in a café and had to go to the loo until I calmed the fuck down
  • someone asked me for directions but didn't realise I was a tourist (man promptly thought I was a nutcase so I didn't get a chance to explain I couldn't help him).

I could go on...🫣

beguilingeyes · 12/08/2025 12:13

I missed a train by a couple of minutes and sat and sobbed on the platform for about twenty minutes as though someone had died.
