I have just had a positive result! Looks like I’m due early March 2026.
Second baby for me, eldest is 9 in September.

Thought it would be lovely to have somewhere to share our progress

@Casper94 thank you for replying, it honestly helps hearing that other people have had the same and it’s been fine. And I’m sure the bath is fine! If it was with your daughter I’m sure it won’t have been too hot! I do understand the worry over the small things though!

@Apricotjam23 thank you, can I ask if they offered you extra scans or just the regular ones? Was it considered a large cyst?

@LunarBear @Hopeloveandkindness I am keeping everything crossed for you that things will work out ok for you both, it is such a difficult time.

I can’t remember the exact size but I can remember thinking ‘that’s big’ at the time and being worried but the sonographer was reassuring. I’d had a scan in EPU after experiencing cramps and they picked it up then.

Mads96 · 23/07/2025 21:44

4 weeks 4 days today and got a strong positive, had a CP last month and so feeling extra anxious this time round. Has nausea Monday and Tuesday but none today which also makes me anxious 😬
Wanting to book a private scan soon but worried it’s like jinxing myself 🤦‍♀️ silly I know.
How is everyone doing today?

LunarBear · 24/07/2025 05:13

Confirmed miscarriage. Going to take some time to myself. Wishing everyone else luck xx

Bumblebee1984 · 24/07/2025 05:34

So sorry to hear this @LunarBearlook
after yourself.

@Mads96my nausea comes and goes so don’t worry about that. Felt pretty rubbish all weekend then totally fine Monday and Tuesday. And all was ok at my scan yesterday. If you’d like some reassurance could definitely book an early scan. I’d never had one before but was good to get one yesterday.

@Hopeloveandkindnesskeeping everything crossed for you

Hello 👋 I am tentatively joining you - aged 44, been trying for 4 years, never been pregnant, got ourselves a Mira monitor a while ago and here we are with a positive! We’d decided to stop trying when I turn 45 later this year! Still can’t really believe it and apart from one day recently when a chocolate brownie at work tasted so bad I had to throw it out, and then though hmmm 🤔, no symptoms at all.

Is there anything I should be doing? I’ve registered online with the midwives/hospital and I’ve done an e-consult with the GP to let them know and to ask if I can still take the medication I am on, but no response as yet. I have also already learned from another thread that I need get the higher dose folic acid. Do they really just leave you to it until about ten weeks?

If I use my last period I am 4 weeks something, but I can tell you the exact date we conceived, so not sure what to use!

I have had two previous surgeries for ovarian cysts so have one vertical and one horizontal scar (plus a repair five years ago where they cross over and weakened). They’re both more than ten years old now. Will this cause me issues?

I’m a secondary teacher with a lot of key stage 4 teaching so this is going to cause some ructions…. But I have no intention of telling anyone yet. Possible due date of 30 March suggests I could almost get my Year 11s to Easter. At least it’s the holidays now and if I do get sickness I’m not going to be doing it in a bin like colleagues have had to!

TheFutureIs · 24/07/2025 08:44

Congratulations @Fallulahyou’ll definitely want to take some folic acid, think usual dose is fine. There’s some excellent websites for medicines and pregnancy contraindications so may be worth a search yourself (as this is pretty much what the gp would do)
I’m 42 and also a secondary teacher, no year 11’s for me (but DO NOT feel at all guilty, the school will just have to manage!)
I’m also so glad I’m not having to hide it any more at work, the last few weeks have been tough! Especially with all the end of term drinks

So sorry to all those who have had bad news these past few days 💕 And welcome to those who have joined!
Hope everyone’s ok, I should be 7 weeks today all being well 🤞🏼 Just plodding along here and hoping all is ok until an early scan.

Casper94 · 24/07/2025 09:11

So sorry to hear @LunarBear sending love and hugs ❤️

@Bookedsolid I think my cyst was 4cm by 5cm, pretty sure it's still there now! No extra scans, just the normal ones - I think they would've done more scans if the size was increasing rapidly

mumtrovert · 24/07/2025 09:25

So sorry @LunarBear 😞 take care of yourself.

How is the bleeding now @Hopeloveandkindness?

I dropped into conversation with DP yesterday that maybe we should do another clear blue weeks indicator just to see that my HCG is rising. Just played it off like I haven’t already done one 😂
So we did one this morning with FMU and it is still 2-3. My emotions are just kind of plateauing now. Although I did break open the test and the test line is a lot darker than my test that I did last Friday (5+6) with FMU. Although still not at 3+ level. Don’t really know what to think. I just have to wait until Monday to really find out what’s going on. But that’s my update 😅

Welcome @Fallulah

Hope you’re OK @Redsky01 I know you have an anxious wait too. When is your next scan?

MrsMcH23 · 24/07/2025 09:33

Hi everyone, I think I’m around 7 weeks, the past 24hrs I’ve been experiencing dark red bleeding, not enough to fill a pad but like a medium flow period. There haven’t been any clots but I passed a bit of what looked like tissue (sorry for the tmi). What’s weird is I don’t have any pain or cramping? I phoned the EPU yesterday and was told if I had pain it’s likely a miscarriage and to expect it to get worse. But it’s hasn’t got any worse and it’s kind of consistent. I’ve got a scan at the EPU this afternoon so will get some more clarity. But was wondering if anyone has experienced anything similar? And it not resulted in a miscarriage? Thanks

Hi it stopped after a few hours and then turned a brown colour sorry about TMI. Still had a little of it during the night but nothing on pad etc just when I wiped then it seems to be stopping now touch wood.

ahhh it’s a good sign the rest line is darker you might just be slightly under the HcG cut off. Hopefully your scan just gives you the reassurances you need on Monday 🙏🏻🙏🏻🤞🤞

Hi I have had bleeding bright red that lasted a few hours both Tuesday and yesterday and also when I was 9 days post transfer. Both times it turned a brown colour also had no pain I had my scan Tuesday and saw heart beat and everything was present/normal. I’m 6 weeks 5 days. I know others on here have experienced bleeding and had babies also had friends had the same. However, it does make you feel very anxious and I feel your nervousness because I am currently experiencing the same even after my scan!

Mushroo · 24/07/2025 10:50

@mumtrovert ive been to scared to do one today. But I’ve got another brand week estimator coming today from Amazon so I’m going to do that and see what happens…

Ive booked a scan for Tuesday when I should Be about 6+2 so hopefully I’ll know either way by then. It’s so hard because if I hadn’t done the clear blue, I’d be merrily going along thinking everything is fine (which hopefully it is…)

It does say in the instructions that when people are 6 weeks preg - the reading can be incorrect

worldwidetravel2017 · 24/07/2025 10:52

RadishTea · 23/07/2025 13:24

I think it is not so much that the tests aren't accurate, it is more that the normal ranges vary so much. 6 weeks pregnant (about 28dpo on this table) can be anything from 4000 to 30,000 mlU/ml and if you ovulated or implanted a few days later in your cycle than average then hCG could be as low as 2,000 and still be normal.

https://www.reddit.com/r/TFABLinePorn/comments/1aqa5ij/chart_that_shows_hcg_levels_by_days_post_ovulation/

Yeah my beta hcg was 9000 at 6 wks but there was a heart beat at 6w2days scan

worldwidetravel2017 · 24/07/2025 10:55

Tmi
But i feel like theres always some kinds drama in my life every day atm
Today - bled - when pooping - think its my anal fissure
( tmi - had bad diorea and have ibs )

One week til next scan

Morning everyone,
so sorry to read the messages of losses and those suffering bleeding. Wishing you all well 🫶

Just an update from me, had an early reassurance scan at the EPU this morning and all was good, heartbeat seen, feeling so much relief 🤍

@WishingUponARainbow that’s great news :)

I had my scan this morning for the EPU to check out the cyst for themselves. All went well and they aren’t concerned and are going to monitor it again at the 12 weeks scan, they said it is fluid filled and to avoid any strenuous exercise that could cause it to burst but it might go away on its own so feeling reassured. They also confirmed everything still looking fine with pregnancy though it was clear that wasn’t the main focus which is fine! Thank you again to the people that offered reassurance it was so kind and helpful.

Hi and congrats!

I also used the Mira monitor and found it really helpful. Funnily enough, when TTC with this pregnancy my estrogen and progesterone readings were quite low compared to other months and it couldn’t confirm my ovulation even happened (even though it did detect the LH and FSH peak) as my progesterone didn’t rise as quickly after ovulation as it should have. But here we are! I guess all that to say that sometimes these hormone level readings aren’t the be all and end all!

Hopeloveandkindness · 24/07/2025 13:51

My diet it horrendous I feel so hungry all the time but sick as soon as I eat. I basically want crisps (salt and vinegar) or crunchy nut cornflakes, Plain pasta with cheese. Chocolate makes me want vom and I have the biggest sweet tooth. I seem to be better on a night and can stomach some veggies and salmon etc but goodness as someone who it’s normally really healthy wit food this is not like me 🤣😩 the weight gain will be through the roof if this continues 😆🫣

Mushroo · 24/07/2025 13:56

@Hopeloveandkindness I had a massive craving for chocolate shreddies the other day, which I probably last ate in about 1999!

Other than that steak and eggs. I must be low in iron or something.

It’s so bizarre I never eat cereal 🤣 it’s literally all I want along with crisps. Wish I was craving some protein 😆😆

MrsWindrush · 24/07/2025 14:50

Another one bowing out of here - scan at 6+6 today didn't show heartbeat or fetal pole and although they’re repeating the scan in a weeks time to be sure, we’ve been here before and I know it won’t be good news and that we’re heading for a MC.

good luck to everyone else with your spring 2026 babies!
