I'm home now, and I'm going to have bloods monitored every week and fetal monitoring at the local hospital plus my usual growth scans because of low papp a as well as my normal midwife appointments. (Still leaking occasionally throughout the day but no blood). I did have a test to see that I have strep B, but that would just be antibiotics via iv just before baby is born. I'm not actually feeling anxious anymore, just getting on with things and I have returned back to work on reduced hours as I feel that I need to the normal to feel normal. I want to work right up to the birth if possible but I really love my job so that's probably why. I do supportive living so its like checking in on my family rather then work.

emmatcc1 · 26/07/2025 08:39

Does anyone else’s baby have hiccups often? Mine has it almost everyday and he gets so annoyed by them it’s so funny.
28w today and officially in the 3rd trimester.
Got our growth scan in less than 3 weeks and we get to finally see his face in 3d then.

Morning ladies, happy Saturday.
@emmatcc1 that’s so funny and cute! My little lady gets them maybe every couple of days. She’s feeling very strong now 🥰 27 weeks today.

@BeSunnyPinkBiscuit glad you’re home and things have settled a little…. Very worrying and sorry you’re going through this. Good news they are keeping a very close eye. Fingers crossed bubs cooks a lot longer ☺️

@fluffyprawn yikes, that doesn’t sound nice at all… sorry to hear. Definitely take it as easy as possible - easier said than done, I know. Al least you’re feeling him kicking nice and strong as a reminder it will be worth it in the end!!

@JMassey 30 weeks! 🤩 good luck for the next 5 weeks of summer break.

I’ve booked to finish work at 34 weeks… but using a couple of weeks annual leave. Mentally preparing she’s likely going to have to arrive at 37 weeks anyway as my bloods are so bad right now. I’m having weekly blood tests, and have 3 consultant appts booked between now and mid August to assess the situation closely... Trying not to stress about it all 🥲😣

Hope you all have a peaceful weekend ☀️

pumpkinpatches22 · 26/07/2025 19:47

@BeSunnyPinkBiscuit glad to hear you are home with regular monitoring etc and the anxiety has reduced - I think you’re being incredibly brave and I admire your ability to
keep on keeping on. I’m also hoping to work until I pop but I’m self employed so really don’t have a choice - every penny counts.

@emmatcc1 I have only felt my baby get hiccups once so far but they move around a lot. Especially in the morning so it’s a lovely morning routine to sit with them and feel them have a wiggle. Now I’m 28 weeks I’m trying to keep an eye on the pattern as I’m so scared of reduced movements or anything going wrong. Just want to make it to the finish line.

I had my 28 week consultant growth scan yesterday to check femurs and it went well I think. Head and body are on 50th, arms on 10th. Their femurs still on 4th but the consultant said the growth between the scans is good - so everything is staying on its own curve, not tailing off and growing in a consistent and proportional way. Everything is properly formed so they feel quite confident it’s just the babies natural proportions. They’re on the 22nd percentile overall for weight, so within normal range just petite. They will keep up the monitoring with scans every 3 weeks due to my low Papp-A but definitely feeling much more reassured! Good luck to everyone in the final trimester Xxx

BeSunnyPinkBiscuit · 07/08/2025 07:12

So currently 32 weeks and 2 days preganant- back in hospital after a scan showed a massive decrease in size so started daily monitoring and then the heart dipped....admitted to the ward for more monitoring and it happened again. They think it's because of decreased fluid and the baby more prone to pushing on the umbilical cord as the heart does come back up. But so scary when it happens. Met the surgeon in the night who briefed me just incase I was rushed off for a c section. Having a doppler scan later today. I'm just goggling babies born at 32 weeks it said their long term outlook is good but I'm so scared that the baby will be affected by this if it were to be born now. My badger notes have penciled me in for an induction of the 19th of August also if I can last that long. I am never having another baby again I can't cope with all the fear

InGodsHands · 07/08/2025 07:58

@BeSunnyPinkBiscuit I’m so sorry to hear that. I hope everything goes well for you and baby can be comfy a little while longer. Will you need to stay in hospital until baby comes if you don’t need a c section?

CustardCream31 · 07/08/2025 10:17

Thinking of you and sending strength @BeSunnyPinkBiscuit - what a worrying time. It will all work out in the end, I’m sure - even if it feels scary now.
Keep us posted x

Well today everything seems a little better baby is doing well while being monitored. I have had a scan for the blood flow to the placenta and measurement of the fluid around baby which is all good. So now the doctors are saying I can go home but to be monitored twice a week and then on the 19th of August I will be induced because I have group b strep and the protective barrier around baby (waters) isn't in tact it's high risk. So I have 11 days to go, baby will be born 6 weeks early so an August baby. Just sat on the ward purchasing things for my long stay in hospital. They think that baby will be around 4lb 6oz so tiny. The major thing for the baby at this gestational age is temperature control and feeding. They feel lungs should be OK but obviously no guarantees. This pregancy seems to be the shortest preganancy ever as I didn't tell anyone apart from partner until 4 months and now it's going to be cut short till 8 months. Just hoping the baby will be strong enough to cope x

InGodsHands · 08/08/2025 16:10

@BeSunnyPinkBiscuit Oh wow! That’s great news about the baby doing well. Such a relief for you I bet. Well done you! Goes without saying stay really hydrated and don’t lift a finger if possible. Your baby WILL be strong enough. Keep us posted with how you get on, you’re not alone ❤️

Hi Ladies,
I haven’t posted since the new thread began, currently 31weeks with baby boy.

Hope everyone is ok.

Midwife apt tomorrow. Last one was at 28weeks and bump measured exactly 28 weeks. I’ve got another scan at 32 weeks because he measured 70th percentile at 20week - had the GD test and all clear. Just a big baby.

Last midwife apt he was transverse/beach. I feel kicks/movement in both sides and I experience lightening crotch when walking.

I just wondered, how are your babies laid and where do you feel kicks?

Mine is head down and has been for ages - just waiting I suppose! I feel swishes from side to side of the back moving from left to right and feet getting stuck under my ribs although that feeling has only been in the last week realy. Currently 33 weeks and 1 day baby on the 10th centile

Band3benefits · 13/08/2025 22:07

Hi ladies, mind if I join? I’m only just accepting this is finally happening after infertility treatment. I’m now 32 weeks!

how have you all found the heat today?

Hope those of you having extra scans and early babies are doing okay.

my next growth one is in a couple of weeks- history of pre eclampsia and I’ve low Papp A this time.

just wishing away the weeks now until she’s here!

emmatcc1 · 15/08/2025 12:11

I had my growth scan yesterday and baby is measuring on the 64th percentile, thank god no big baby for me.
Been head down since the 20 week scan.
I’m just about to start washing everything and in the process of buying all the postpartum essentials, wish I would’ve done it sooner because my back and hips start hurting so quick.

That's such a cute photo 🥰 do you know what you are having ? I just ordered everything off amazon as I can't be walking round shops now. Just the bras to arrive and feeding pillow then it's all ready ! I have 4 days to go now so if I'm honest I am shitting myself !!

emmatcc1 · 15/08/2025 18:04

@BeSunnyPinkBiscuit We’re having a boy. I’ve also been mostly ordering to make it a bit easier.
Are you getting induced in 4 days?

Yes I will be 34 weeks exactly my hind waters are leaking and I have group b strep so it's high risk to continue absolutely gutted but I just have to do what's best.
Congratulations on your boy I think there are a lot of boys on here to be born.

not debating if I will get them but want to be prepared.

Yes I have had two at 29 weeks 3 days but 24 hours apart I had no side affects whatsoever ever. I have heard there is a possibility of baby having some deceleration s afterwards but they will monitor you closely. Are you expecting to deliver earlier ?

Apart from feeling like my arm had been punched but it only lasted 30 minutes. I think if you are going to have a preterm baby listen to the doctors as they will do everything to make it more safer for you and baby. Hiw many weeks are you ?

Thank you! That’s good to know. I have just read about people feeling totally wiped out or having terrible anxiety afterwards.
My doctor spotted some issues with the placenta and it is a real possibility at the moment. I have to go into hospital next week and they will make a decision there. I’m 33 weeks at the moment. Not in the UK so the process is probably a bit different.

@BeSunnyPinkBiscuit Wish you all the best tomorrow for your induction! Hopefully the nicu stay won’t be too long and you’ll be home with your baby soon!
So crazy the first October baby will be here already, on my fb group we already had one born at 27weeks.

Thank you for your wishes I'm so emotional today I can't stop crying when I speak to someone. Hopefully I will be stronger tomorrow.
How is the 27 weeker doing ? That's so early

SpookyBaby2025 · 18/08/2025 16:36

Hello everyone, I am absolutely new here!
Baby girl due 11th October. My friend who has recently had a baby suggested joining a mums net group for people around the same due date as she puts it, it saved her sanity and 'someone is always awake at the same time as you' haha so thought I would give it a go.
So, hi!

emmatcc1 · 18/08/2025 17:57

@BeSunnyPinkBiscuit I can’t imagine how stressful it is to know you’re gonna have an early baby. But from what I’ve seen they do really well and don’t need much support with breathing and eating.
Don’t know much about that baby but judging from the mom’s posts he’s doing pretty good. He was born due to iugr weighing at 650g and 33cm long.
