Tentatively making this bus, as I don’t think there is one yet. Got the start of my BFP yesterday, and I can see the line developing today. Going to continue to test until AF is due. So far due 2nd Feb 😬 Anyone with me?

@Dani46yeah I know it’s so hard, we’ve been trying 2.5 years too, I read women complaining that they have been trying 4 months and I’m like ahhhhhh 😂 just keep telling myself that an extra scan doesn’t change anything other than reassure me for that few minutes whilst I’m in the room! I got a 3+ weeks today on a digital so that’s about as much reassurance as I’m going to get know 🙈

Dani46 · 18/06/2025 21:49

@CharlotteRae oh that’s amazing you got a 3+ weeks! You’re so right about the scans too, they’re only re assuring while you have it then the same day it’s back to worrying again!
I couldn’t imagine how hard it must have been for you, especially after trying for so long! Keeping fingers crossed for you 🤞

sophiealice55 · 19/06/2025 01:21

Just found this thread and I am joining the Feb 2026 due dates hopefully! Had BFP on the 10th June and approx 5 weeks now - got a scan on 1st July so fingers crossed all is viable and okay! :)

Hey everyone!

Cautiously joining this thread, due 27th Feb according to Flo.

just wanted a bit of reassurance/see if anyone else has had this:

Ive had a positive on an early detection digital from 10DPO and have been testing with the clearblue rapid detection since (due period tomorrow & 12DPO today).

im happy with my clearblue progression on the rapid detection from yesterday to today as seen in pic but my cheapies are looking so faint still. Anyone else had these?

@SY2007 are the cheap tests the one step ones? If so they took the longest to get dark and be a dye stealer for me. I did loads of tests 🤣

SY2007 · 19/06/2025 08:01

@BGxxx yes they are! I’ve heard they can be unreliable so I’m glad the clearblue are giving me confidence 😂

Yeah i feel like the clear blue show up later dpo but get darker with progression quickly once they are positive it that makes sense. Plus your one steps do look like they are getting darker!! Xx

The clearblue look great. So definitely go by those for progress over the cheapies! It’ll probably take you till about 5 weeks to get a dye stealer with them!

Anyone else with constipation going on got a sore bum? Think I’m dehydrated with the heat too 😩 what are the best gentle stomach (that won’t turn your stomach 🤣) foods to soften things up? Sorry if that’s a TMI 😆

MM013 · 19/06/2025 09:49

@jelliebean9warm water and a banana usually help me. In general, lots of high fibre foods will help with constipation - so fruit and veg, oats, brown rice, etc.
this may be a personal one, but bread usually makes me more constipated. Maybe it’s the same for you?
Natural yogurt is always great because the probiotics in it really help with healthy bowel movements.
if all else fails - have a sachet of Fybogel before bedtime and you will go for sure without a struggle in the morning. It’s pregnancy safe and you can get it in orange or lemon flavours. I’ve bought it at pharmacies and supermarkets before, buts it’s also available on Amazon - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Fybogel-Fibre-Sachets-Orange-Flavour/dp/B00U3746DC/ref=sr_1_9?crid=24EX1VB0L19QB&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.IuuEhKjjHt2bX2xLRi1mB6JoLEKiVVY1nFfkML4Wp-mxugxoF0yQChVYAmP7I0ABEcLKwrfcMTN4vcgCqmHFR_N4y8M4kSFQ_GgBwZMNsv8rpf1ZAIdoj-5tk5f3KmGOMyQqqAwldhJ1yQrY11BNtpxaSIPfa_zZVQr0eYWYyOS01y-g8eTkfgASrtxi04CcKUt95BfYT5mJr9yFQ78CICJT4unbxDjagB1ZHQXC3ubIhqIpxGIyQ3xPUTv1N8tqIeAs_O2PldPZsmcLBG6oD6bIgKGSVFg_EDmyB6lxi94.epNYrrxeLwVqC8sYThPO5ByteJyXuTkPYV8KTv6KKeo&dib_tag=se&keywords=fybogel&qid=1750322920&sprefix=fybogel%2Caps%2C98&sr=8-9

MM013 · 19/06/2025 09:51

@jelliebean9adding to what I said above ^
sometimes doing a little gentle yoga or going for a walk is what my system needs to kick my bowel movements into action. Maybe go for a gentle walk and see if you’re ready to go when you’re home?

How is everyone coping in the heat?? I'm in London and it's 30 degrees and I am struggling!

Bluebird1312 · 19/06/2025 10:23

Hi all, im joining this thread after a journey of infertility and ivf, we have our first pregnancy! I'm currently 5 weeks and 3 days, I was just wondering when do people refer themselves for the booking in appointment? It seems quite early? I have a private ivf clinic scan at 7 weeks, so I'm not sure whether to wait until after this. Thanks.

MM013 · 19/06/2025 10:25

@MO22im really struggling in the heat. Usually on a day like this I’d be working from the garden or spending lunch napping on the sun lounger. But I’ve been feeling really dizzy in the heat so I’m trying my best to stay indoors.

MM013 · 19/06/2025 10:26

@Bluebird1312yay! Congratulations 🥳
i dont think you can have your booking appointment before 8 weeks but i think you can self refer and set it up ahead of time anyways. I went to my GP around 4 weeks and they said the midwife in our area is busy so he referred me immediately and I’ve got my booking appointment at 8 weeks next Tuesday. Might be worth starting the process so you don’t need to wait closer to 10 weeks.

Yes! I'm on lactulose anyway because of a previous bowel op. I've upped my dose to a bit in the morning and a bit before bed now. Apple juice and prune juice also help.

I'm on the South coast so it's not as hot here as London. I'm finding sleeping at night tricky, but also wonder if that's pregnancy insomnia as well. Lots of mini calippos for me 😅 I've got to be in our London office for work next week, hoping it's dropped a bit by then.

I'm heading to my mum's on the South coast tomorrow for the weekend with my toddler, can't bear 32 degrees! Need that sea breeze!

Dani46 · 19/06/2025 11:55

The heat is so much! Thankfully at home it’s quite cool, but our bedroom can get so hot of a night and our little one refuses to sleep in his cot, so we co sleep with him too 🥵

Dani46 · 19/06/2025 11:57

I’ve also had my 12 week scan appointment letter through all ready before seeing the midwife for my booking appointment which is strange seeing as last time I got it booked in while at my appointment

electrolytes are really helping me, especially with nausea and dizziness! Appetite has gone right down though.

I took lactulose with my little girl but not much because it gave me horrendous stomach cramps and I still couldn’t go

I had mine about 48 hours after I self referred at 5 weeks! I’m now 6 weeks and have heard nothing from the midwife! So I wouldn’t worry too much. Seems to vary loads!

jelliebean9 · 19/06/2025 14:36

Thank you for the poop ideas girls. I had those laxatives after I gave birth and I literally could not hold a fart in for about 4 weeks on the stuff 😂 so I’ll try and avoid those! I’ll get some apple juice in!

jelliebean9 · 19/06/2025 14:37

Has anyone else hit 6 weeks and it’s suddenly like ‘nope. we don’t like your normal diet anymore’. I’ve gone off fruit, which is soooo unlike me 🤪
