I have found out VERY early that I am pregnant and due early June (I am only 10dpo today) and found out yesterday I am pregnant (22 Sept)

Wanted to start this thread for those of you who have also just found out :) I found the thread when I was pregnant with my son super helpful!

I'm Lexie, 32, have a 14 month old son so am just squeezing in 2 under 2 :)

Those of you doing private early scans, when will you go? I know it’s a fine balance between going as early as possible and being sure you’re far enough along to see something! Last time I went at 9.5weeks but ideally want sooner this time!

I was wondering this too. I don't want to go at 6 weeks and then not see something and panic. But the idea of waiting till 9 weeks feels like forever! So I dunno when to book one!

Itssojulia · 04/10/2024 18:55

Was going to wait until I had missed a period, but couldn't help myself and tested early this evening and positive! Absolutely delighted. I think I'll be due early June, I must only be about 3/4 weeks pg

Daniki · 04/10/2024 19:11

@NEMammy I have one Friday the 11th in the EPU when il be 6+5, I was surprised they booked it at that stage I thought it would be 8 weeks but I won't complain lol

I have mine next week. I'll be 6+4 I think. Then I have another 2 weeks later (due to recurrent miscarriages).

NEMammy · 04/10/2024 20:11

@Bb542 @Daniki ah great that you’re both getting early scans. Keeping everything crossed that you get to see the babies! Keep us posted ❤️
I’m thinking I’ll book for around 8weeks.

Hi All. After trying for 4 years to conceive with our first, and having an early MC last year, I found out on Monday that I'm pregnant. 5w1d today. Excited and nervous in equal measures. It so easy to overthink every little twinge and cramp at this stage, and the first NHS scan seems like ages away. Last time we had an reassurance scan privately, but it only caused a heartache, seeing a heartbeat at 6w, then not seeing anything at 9w when I attended the EPU after experiencing some bleeding. Then I had to have a repeat scan at week 10 anyway, because NHS did not accept the findings of the first private scan and was not able to confirm loss of pregnancy without repeating in-house, which felt so unnecessary and upsetting. Because of this I decided not to go for a private reassurance scan this time around, but waiting for 12-14 weeks feels so long!

Sorry, I pressed send before I finished. So sorry about your previous loss. I've had 2 losses and totally get not wanting to have s scan. I have my first one next week and so nervous. Have never had a good scan before 🙈

Has anyone got bad lower back aches/pain? Hoping this is normal 🤞🏼

HelloItsMeAgainHello · 05/10/2024 12:11

Hi. Can I join. 13DPO today and have had positive tests the past 2 days. App says baby should be due 17th June 😊

amichel · 05/10/2024 23:13

Hi all! Would love to join✨
Got my BFP on Tuesday after a chemical pregnancy with the previous so fingers crossed this is it🤞🏼
Due date around 18th June.

Are you all having a dating scan/early reassurance scan soon?
@Bb542 I'm having slight lower back ache now and again x

amichel · 05/10/2024 23:14

@LillB Sorry, I read you've opted out of having an early reassurance scan after I asked everyone. I'm sorry to hear about your loss and the ordeal afterwards with all the scans x

LacedBouquet · 05/10/2024 23:22

Hey guys! Just discovered I was pregnant yesterday at 14DPO so that puts me as due 14th June 2025.
I’ve had a bit of a rollercoaster with ttc for my first and this will be my seventh pregnancy, first baby. Since June 2023 I’ve had 2 miscarriages at 5 weeks, one miscarriage at 7 weeks and then three chemical pregnancies.
With each pregnancy I have always had heavy implantation bleeding and it seemed my lining couldn’t cope with the pregnancies and would start to break down once pregnant.
For this, I’ve tried a new drug this month called Sitagliptin (diabetes medication) which has the side effect of increasing stem cells in your lining and stopping the breakdown when you get pregnant.
This is my first pregnancy since taking this and I haven’t had a drop of blood this time! Normally I would have been bleeding for 5 days by this point.

So I’m really hopeful that this time is different and will work for me but of course I’m riddled with anxiety.
I’m getting HCG and progesterone bloods done next week to see if a viable pregnancy and then will do an 8 week scan and if viable I’ll hopefully join you guys on the WhatsApp group chat 💕

Oh and p.s to all you girlies worried and constantly testing for the line darkening- I totally get you (been there many times myself) but I highly recommend to stop as it’s worse for the anxiety and not always accurate. For my last pregnancy my lines were getting stronger and stronger and my friend who was pregnant at the same time had lines that weren’t increasing or even getting fainter. I lost my pregnancy and she went on to having a healthy pregnancy. So the lines darkening or not darkening doesn’t always predict the outcome x

Bewildened · 06/10/2024 07:14

Welcome and congratulations @LillB and @LacedBouquet, and sorry you’ve had a hard time getting here.

I had 4 early mcs before I had dc1 and was diagnosed with an overactive immune system so am now on steroids in pregnancy and had DC1 and 2 with no issues.

Then had my 5th Mc in July which I think was just a “normal” chromosomal one as the pattern was totally different to my previous losses.

I’ve been up since 6am today with horrendous indigestion and back cramps (which are normal for me in early pregnancy) - of course this is the day the kids have decided to sleep in so I’m annoyed with myself!

anxiousddhmum · 06/10/2024 07:25

Hello. Discovered I was pregnant yesterday evening edd 15th june.

In a bit of shock to be honest. Took us 4 years and a miscarriage to have our daughter who will be 4 in January. She has had some health issues which postponed us actively trying (not that we've protecting against either) and this was the second month actively trying.

Haven't told my partner yet as I am still in disbelief. Will be weird going through a non lockdown pregnancy and I am sightly anxious about it as my first pregnancy wasn't the most pleasant (spd, sciatica, difficult labour).

anxiousddhmum · 06/10/2024 07:40

Also ill be classed as a geriatric mother this time 😑

Chaz693 · 06/10/2024 10:16

Anyone feel like time is going so slowly lol! Trying to keep myself busy and distracted but it's only been a week since I found out and it feels like it should been so much longer!

HelloItsMeAgainHello · 06/10/2024 10:55

@Chaz693 yes i agree time is moving so slowly!

dmb91 · 06/10/2024 11:39

@Chaz693 yes! Feel like I should be 7/8 weeks, just checked and only 5+2 🤦‍♀️
Have my booking appointment on the 16th, does the dating scan get booked then or is it booked separately?

Chaz693 · 06/10/2024 11:42

@dmb91 I'm glad it's not just me! I'm not sure as when I had my son 5 years ago I had my booking in appointment and then got my scan through in the post before my booking in appointment. So I don't know if once you are referred to the midwife it just automatically does it.

I haven't actually registered with my midwives yet as I'm to scared that something will go wrong before my appointment and I have to make that call again to cancel and explain. Was horrible. X

Me three! I've never made it to week 12 before, but I imagine once you there, time might speed up a bit...? That might be wishful thinking on my part 😂

Sparklyfi · 06/10/2024 14:04

@LillB I hope so! We feel like we are sitting on the biggest secret ever, have to hide from friends/family until 12 weeks.. I will give the game away 🤣

HelloItsMeAgainHello · 06/10/2024 14:19

@LillB I found it all goes pretty slowly. But I find the first 12 weeks the hardest as it's a secret
