I have found out VERY early that I am pregnant and due early June (I am only 10dpo today) and found out yesterday I am pregnant (22 Sept)

Wanted to start this thread for those of you who have also just found out :) I found the thread when I was pregnant with my son super helpful!

I'm Lexie, 32, have a 14 month old son so am just squeezing in 2 under 2 :)

I hope everyone is doing alright or as well as they can be. I randomly started feeling a bit sick today (5+6).

Re progesterone, I'm on 3 a day and the middle one is rectal. I hate them too ugh.. but I won't complain too much as it's for a good cause, hopefully.

Just wanted to post the facebook link for some of the new faces (congratulations!), but now pressure to join right now :) x

fb.me/g/45AgcV61E/TwJOmBol

That was meant to say NO* pressure, obviously..

Bubblegu04 · 23/10/2024 20:06

Thanks for posting the link @PlanABC, I’ve requested to join ☺️

and thank you to everyone who responded about progesterone, the pharmacist said it can be used either way so I’m going to give PR a go! What joy 😂

mumofone1111 · 23/10/2024 20:12

@PlanABC it's saying link broken when I click on it or page can't be found 😭

@Angelselevenx thank you! I figured likely normally but not had that before 🙈

PlanABC · 23/10/2024 20:31

@mumumofone1111 ... how weird?? fb.me/g/45AgcV61E/dDnbGDp4 pasting it again but if that doesn't work, send me a PM :)

Angelselevenx · 23/10/2024 20:50

@Bubblegu04 mine is either as well but definitely find it easier, no mess and once it's in, don't have to worry about lying down for half an hour etc. just make sure you do it after your BM in the morning 😂

PlanABC · 23/10/2024 20:58

@Angelselevenx i specifically asked my nurse if I had to lie down after inserting one and she told me no need.. (not sure how I would at work anyway lol). Though maybe that would reduce the mess 🤔

Angelselevenx · 23/10/2024 21:05

@PlanABC was that for vaginally? I always got told 30 mins lying down after inserting but no need to lie down if rectally. I've never actually done it vaginally as I started them on holiday and didn't want any remnants following me round the pool 😂😂

PlanABC · 23/10/2024 21:10

@Angelselevenx for both. I asked because i'd read that online.. it's a bit grim, isn't it.

Bubblegu04 · 23/10/2024 10:32

I’ve sent a private message for the WhatsApp group but not sure if they’re still using mumsnet? Please could someone post a link for the one with due dates in the second half of June? I’m 5+3 and due 23rd June if all goes well x

I’ve just started progesterone and hating it! I remember some of the girls in my first WhatsApp group said it was better if used it rectally (embarrassed face 😳haha), does anyone have any experience of that? Can you do it either way or do you need to be advised to by a doctor or nurse?

If you PM me your number i can add you into the whatsapp group if you like :)

codemytea · 23/10/2024 22:36

Evening everyone, just had a new strange symptom, kind of like a burning sensation along my abdomen, it's been here all day - surely it can't be round ligament pains already? I'm only wk 8+2

Bubblegu04 · 24/10/2024 05:45

Omg a progesterone cloud following you around the pool 😂😂 a scene from nightmares!! Tried it rectally last night and can confirm it’s way better

Bewildened · 24/10/2024 06:21

For anyone on progesterone, I’ve had to take it in all my pregnancies. If you’ve got the suppositories then 100% go rectal - much better for numerous reasons.

But this time round I’ve got ultragestan which is tablets and so much nicer. Perhaps worth requesting if you don’t get on with cyclogest?

Angelselevenx · 24/10/2024 07:05

@Bubblegu04 haha I know! Much better isn't it, no mess a you know it's tucked away in there.

How's everyone symptoms wise? I'm 6+5 today (feels surreal saying that), had a scan last Saturday and another this Saturday. Symptoms so far are: out of breath (not sure how I'll ever exercise again 😂), sore nipples but one minute they'll hurt to even touch and then ease off for a little while then they'll come back with a vengeance (is this normal?), extremely vivid dreams, nausea when I'm either really hungry or just eaten but seem to be really lucky on the sickness front so far.

ThisElatedMintDreamer · 24/10/2024 07:33

Is anybody struggling with restless legs at night? I’ve always had restless legs every so often but the past 4 nights I’ve not been able to get to sleep no matter how tired because of it. Also nausea and reaching but no sickness yet. In my first pregnancy I didn’t find out until I was 12 weeks and then all the symptoms hit at once so these early stages are new to me as I had no pregnancy symptoms with my ectopic pregnancy in May.
In limbo of wanting all the symptoms to give me peace of mind, but not wanting any at the same time😂

I've just had sore boobs/nipples, constant sour/off taste in my mouth like I've swallowed disinfectant, increased sense of smell and occasional nausea.

However also had left side pain and just now started spotting. I have a scan today with EPU to check it's in right place and everything is ok 🤞🏼

Restless legs have kicked in for me too! I didn't get them till 3rd trimester with my son so this is early.

AmberM223 · 24/10/2024 09:31

Anyone else 5/6 weeks and have 0 symptoms at all!? it’s starting to worry me a little as with my first i was defo feeling it even at 5 weeks!

embomumof1 · 24/10/2024 09:35

Pregnancy really is a whirlwind. Yesterday I was worried about my symptoms going away and today I’m feeling sorry for myself because the nausea has come back soooo strong 🤢🤢😂 I was wishing it would come back yesterday!

You cant win really haha i did the same as for a few days i was able to eat again and then panicked. But BAM comes back 10x as worse to the point where walking around i am terrified im going to throw up in public or on school playground. First trimester is by far the hardest in my opinion.

mumofone1111 · 24/10/2024 11:35

@PlanABC I've managed to get the link to work :)

@mrobyn are there many in the WhatsApp group?

@codemytea apparently can get super early so could be

@Angelselevenx don't feel like I've got symptoms yet tbh. All yours sound normal :) how was your scan? I have some things going on but other than a bit tired don't feel pregnant 🙈

@CAM8891 good luck for your scan today!

@AmberM223 me

mumofone1111 · 24/10/2024 11:36

Sorry tmi

Anyone else having diarrhoea? It's been 2 weeks now 🙈

SaturnSpark · 24/10/2024 11:38

The nausea is real today! 😅Wasn’t too bad yesterday, but today it’s making me feel so tired! Haven’t been sick yet, just a constant feeling of wanting to be sick, yay!

I miss having the energy to workout.. feeling a little useless!

Chelle2406 · 24/10/2024 11:52

@Angelselevenx hi 👋 I'm 6 +6, and I'm the same! I'm so out of breath and my boobs and nipples hurt on and off! It's stressing me out because I don't feel pregnant at all but 6 tests say I am 🫣

custardcreamsies · 24/10/2024 12:14

Can I join you please? I’m 5+2 (I think!) with our first. We had planned on having a baby but didn’t expect to fall pregnant first try so I’m in a bit of a shock.

Stef92 · 24/10/2024 12:40

I'm 6+6 (Flo) or 6+5 (nhs) today and the cramping has been dreadful today. No discharge/bleeding which is good I suppose. This stretch until the 12 week scan is so anxious. I'm hoping half term will distract me tomorrow.
