I have found out VERY early that I am pregnant and due early June (I am only 10dpo today) and found out yesterday I am pregnant (22 Sept)

Wanted to start this thread for those of you who have also just found out :) I found the thread when I was pregnant with my son super helpful!

I'm Lexie, 32, have a 14 month old son so am just squeezing in 2 under 2 :)

@Bewildened sorry to hear that! I've heard that the bloating starts to go away around week10/12 and then some weeks after that you start getting the beginnings of a 'true' bump. I'm in the same boat, don't want too tell work until the very last moment as it's a very small company and unfortunately I'll undoubtedly get discriminated against - I've been wearing oversized jumpers and hoping for the best for now, and anyone that asks why I'm looking so tired etc I just give some excuse about the season or minor cold.

If you are feeling really ill though, and it's getting to the point you feel like it's affecting your performance/you need time off it may be best to tell them just so you're more protected.

Bewildened · 16/10/2024 11:21

@codemytea this is dc3 for me so I fear there will be no gap between bloat subsiding and bump appearing 🤣. I’ve also found that eating is the only thing that stops the nausea so I think I’ve genuinely put on weight as well 😭😭😭.

I was hoping to wait until after my appraisal in December to let them know - when I’ll be around 14-15 weeks, but perhaps that will be ambitious?! I didn’t show with dc1 properly until about 26 weeks but it was more like 16 weeks with dc2…will have to see.

MummyMammoth · 16/10/2024 12:05

Will be 5 weeks tomorrow, this is dragging! Awful trying to work with the aches and nausea… and the excess saliva that tastes bitter and horrible…

come on…

Argh I’m 6 weeks today and feeling so ill, so spotty and so bloated. My work clothes feel really tight and I look terrible!

I really don’t want to tell them at work for ages but at this rate it is going to be very hard to keep it secret.

@Needcoffee24 im sorry about the uncertainty - fingers crossed you get some answers soon.

Thank you, I still have all my symptoms. I only found out on Thursday, so it's not even been a week yet, and its been terrible, but hopefully, the scan in the morning will confirm something.

codemytea · 16/10/2024 13:45

EPU scan went great! Baby in right place, so not ectopic, and had lovely heartbeat. NHS online calculator said I was 6+4, but on the scan baby was 7+1, meaning I'm now due 03/06. Hope everyone else is doing well!

@Bewildened ahhh that makes sense :D good luck holding on till December!

codemytea · 16/10/2024 13:53

Have no one else to share scan with as we're waiting till after week 12 to tell family - in case anyone was curious what a 7 weeker looks like!

@codemytea congratulations!how exciting xx

Daniki · 16/10/2024 16:28

@codemytea omg that's fantastic! Congrats 🙌 what a relief 😅 you're measuring at what I should be and I'm measuring at what you thought you would be 😂

codemytea · 16/10/2024 16:48

@Daniki Awww maybe we baby swapped? :D Relief indeed, but now I've got to swallow the fact that my body is just enjoying hurting for no reason. Ahhh the joys of pregnancy! Thanks so much for your support and handholding through all this x

MittensForKittens123 · 16/10/2024 16:49

I just had a scan at the EPU at 6+0 (although I have longer cycles, so that’s a little misleading). They could see a sac and what they called ‘a baby’, but no heartbeat yet. They were very reassuring, and said they don’t see any reason to worry and that the type of spotting I have is very normal. I’m to go back in 2 weeks time. So 2 weeks of worrying, but I actually feel oddly reassured by the scan anyway - I think part of me was worried about ectopic.

YorkshirePeridot · 16/10/2024 17:39

Excellent news @codemytea and @MittensForKittens123!

Stef92 · 16/10/2024 22:03

I'm basically symptomless all day until I lay down in bed and just feel so nauseous 🫣

how much did you pay for the early scan or did the epu scan you? I'm on the fence over whether to pay or just wait for 12 weeks

Laans1990 · 17/10/2024 02:13

Hi there,

So glad I found a thread for June 2025 babies as I need advice 😊

Yesterday I went for a scan and based on my LMP the doctor and I both thought it would have been my 7 weeks scan. To our surprise it was only 5 weeks. The week before I tested my lines were so faint and I got a 2-3weeks on clear blu and this week Tuesday when I tested it was very dark lines and I got a 3+ so I thought all was progressing as it looks like it on the test. Could the dates be off that far along on the scan is it possible? Did I may be ovulate a different date? Can irregular period be the case? I also have no symptoms. The dr saw the yolk sac and all that and he said it looked perfectly healthy for my gestation. But I am worried about the dates being so off. Thank you so much!!!

Bewildened · 17/10/2024 06:47

Hi @Laans1990 when did you get a positive test? It is possible to measure behind - the weeks calculations are based on an assumption that you ovulated on day 14 of your cycle, so if you actually ovulated later than that (which is very common) you will measure “behind”.

To be 2 weeks behind you would need to have ovulated on day 28 of your cycle and so you probably couldn’t have had a positive test until at least 10 days after that (day 38) - is that possible?

If those dates don’t stack up then im
so sorry to say it probably isn’t good news. My last Mc in July had a similar pattern - I was sure of my dates but measured a week behind. Things seemed to progress, there was a heartbeat etc, but I knew it wouldn’t work out and eventually the heart stopped at 8 weeks. That’s the normal pattern for a chromosomal issue - just one of those things.

Are they rescanning you in 2 weeks? That should give you answers but it is a horrible wait.

Laans1990 · 17/10/2024 06:55

@Bewildened I got my first positive test last week Tuesday only and then it was very faint and showed 2to3 weeks. Dr said to test again this week Tuesday and it was very dark and now showing 3plus. He reckons the dates are off since it was so faint last week. Dr wanted to rescan me in only in 5 weeks he doesn't seemed worried but that seems soooo long!!! I struggle to really measure my dates 100% since my cycle is about 34 days. But I would still think I'm further along. Thanks for the reply hey 😊

LS888 · 17/10/2024 07:51

Just had a positive test today 11dpo!

I had a mmc in July 2022, a little girl in August 2023 and another mmc in July 2024.

@Ldougal92 I will also just have two under 2- this positive today makes me due end of June. Keeping everything crossed this little one will stick.

Just reading through the thread now xx

CAM8891 · 17/10/2024 09:22

Hi everyone!

Currently 4+3 with 2nd baby.. however this time my MC anxiety is through the roof so can’t seem to be excited… constantly symptom spotting etc.

EDD by LMP 23/06/25 🙏🏼

codemytea · 17/10/2024 09:34

@Stef92 I got mine on NHS at the EPU as they were worried about ectopic. I know a place that does private scans throughout your pregnancy for £400 though if that helps!

codemytea · 17/10/2024 09:35

@LS888 @CAM8891 Congrats!

Bewildened · 17/10/2024 09:42

@Stef92 im in London and private scanning places are usually about £100 a pop.

Congrats on the good scan @codemytea - did they shed any light on the pain you’ve been having?

I’ve got a work event tonight and I’m just dreading it - I get more and more bloated and exhausted and nauseous as the day goes on so I know I’m not going to be in the mood for small talk and pretending to drink while squeezed into a dress and heels! My skin is also horrendous.

On the plus side means I can go to my scan tomorrow without being missed as everyone will be wfh and probs quite hungover!

mrobyn · 17/10/2024 09:43

Anyone else struggling with sickness?

6+2 today and its becoming quite debilitating. I had hyperemesis with my daughter but not my boys.

Just the constant feeling of sick. Smells etc even drinking water is a problem.

I feel like no one else understands how I feel 😪

codemytea · 17/10/2024 10:11

@Bewildened Unfortunately not, but it's just such a relief to know it's not ectopic. It must be just a normal part of pregnancy for me :(

Good luck for the work event - I'm exhaused all the time too, I lie down on the sofa/bed straight after work whenever I can which isn't particularly conducive to keeping up with the million and one things that always need to be done! I tutor for two hours most evenings as well which feels incredibly unsustainable nowadays, just hoping this passes in a month or so's time when, fingers crossed, I get to the next trimester. Hoping it gets better for you soon as well!

Good luck for the scan tomorrow! It was really quite something seeing mine on the screen (might have cried on the table...), but I imagine you're much better prepared than I was given that this is my first :D

@mrobyn I'd recommend checking out the Due May 2025 thread if you don't get much response here, they all seem to be struggling awfully with sickness. I hope you feel better soon x

SaturnSpark · 17/10/2024 10:56

Morning everyone 🤗

I had my early private scan yesterday evening and everything looks good so far. Baby was where it should be with a strong heartbeat.

Still equally excited/nervous about this. Even though it was planned it’s still a huge surprise seeing that positive test for the first time!

Haha we must of! But great it's all ok for you, these threads are so great to have for support! 🥰

Needcoffee24 · 17/10/2024 12:41

Hello, I had another scan today and he was able to say its not an ectopic pregnancy. The gestational sac and yolk sac seen (diamond ring he called it) next scan booked and I'll be 7+4.
