I have just found out I am expecting baby number 2 and my due date is 1st May.

Has anyone else found out they are expecting and looking for some company?

@Nosejug Thanks! How many weeks will you be at your scan tomorrow?
My acupuncturist is more excited than I am. It’s obviously just some sort of self preservation thing. If I get passed first scan I’m sure I’ll be more relaxed.

Nosejug · 25/09/2024 15:49

6+6 (by my estimate). Should be enough for a flicker to be there if it’s there… when’s yours?

rosecbrm · 25/09/2024 16:09

@Nosejug thanks lovely, the scan was this morning and was amazing! All measuring on track with a heartbeat (which I've never seen before in any of my previous mcs!) which was incredible!

Hope everyone's ok x

Tigerlilli · 25/09/2024 16:21

Excellent news! Congratulations!

Hi ladies. How are you all doing today?
I think I’m 6 weeks today. I’m just so anxious, I went to acupuncture last night which helped but I think I’m just so conditioned to believe it won’t work out after years of struggling and ivf and miscarriages. Anyone have any tips to deal with it all? I suppose I just have to wait it out and try be positive!

I’m feeling the same, I think I’m around 2 days behind you.

I don’t have any tips other than keep busy, I’ve found that I’m working harder and being more productive trying to keep my mind off it, then in the evening a I’ve started a new book so try and stop the anxiety.

hope all goes well for you!

rosecbrm · 25/09/2024 17:07

@Tigerlilli thank you lovely! Such a relief, just hope it continues 🤞🏼

@Blossomofhope I agree with the below, I'm super anxious after multiple miscarriages to the point in my scan today I cried before even entering the room because I just expected it to be bad.

But just try to keep occupied, I saw a previous poster say about games (I love playing games), or reading, meeting with friends and family. It's so hard to think about anything else but just anything to distract you from it I think will help, it does me personally anyway x

rosecbrm · 25/09/2024 17:09

@Nosejug hope your scan goes well tomorrow! Got everything crossed xx

Nosejug · 25/09/2024 15:04

@Blossomofhope I'm in between jobs atm (self employed so it's normal to have gaps) and so my partner bought me the new Zelda game to take my mind off the anxiety of it all until my scan tomorrow. If you like playing games/have time I can recommend it for distraction!

I am completely with you on my disbelief. My brain goes blank (or freezes?) when I try imagine the appointment tomorrow.

Hope you have good news today @rosecbrm

Good luck on your scan!! Which one is the new Zelda game? I've never needed distraction more in my life! Next scan is not until 8+2 (8 days time!) which is going far too slowly!

Nosejug · 25/09/2024 17:21

@fingerscrossedmumma Heh well new to me but it's been out a wee while. "Tears of the kingdom" which is played on the Nintendo switch. If you do go for it and haven't played Zelda before, I started with 'breath of the wild' which was previous (and mind blowing in its hugeness!) also they're pretty gentle as far as video games go (my hearts racing enough without that kind of stimulation! I'm assuming (hoping) because of the new extra blood?)

@rosecbrm such good good news! I was smiling reading it while doing my Morrisons shop :)

Ooh I HAVE played that! Haven't finished it as it's such a massive game but definitely a good shout as you can make it as cosy as you like! Do let us know how it goes for your scan! Everything crossed for you!

Blossomofhope · 25/09/2024 18:00

@Nosejug mine will be Friday next week. Have another hcg blood test this Friday first. Best of luck tomorrow!

@rosecbrm ah that’s so wonderful it went well. I bet you’re so relieved! I’m the same as you, I’ve never got to the stage of experiencing a good scan. Hopefully next week!

rosecbrm · 25/09/2024 18:14

@Blossomofhope it was honestly incredible, I hope it stays like this now! I've got another scan in 2 weeks where I should be around 9 weeks.

Hopefully you'll be in the same boat next week 🤞🏼🤍

GraySweatpants · 25/09/2024 21:36

Hi everyone! How are you all coping?

I have been feeling meh today and suddenly there’s no nausea all day.

I might cave in and book a private scan this weekend if there’s nothing still tmr. I’m supposed to be 8W3D today so there should be some severe cramping if I’m miscarriaging but so far nothing. Hoping for a positive outcome…

Quickdraw23 · 26/09/2024 08:19

Hey @GraySweatpants i am with you on feeling “meh”, my symptoms are very fluctuating. I have read that this is normal so trying not to be overly pessimistic, but I am being very sort of “practical” I suppose and not allowing myself too much hope and excitement. Hope for a positive outcome for you.

@rosecbrm absolutely wonderful news on your scan yesterday! Congratulations.

i am 6w3d today based on my embryo transfer date. My scan is in one week. Very nervous for it. Do have a busy week ahead with work, a comedy night, language class and started a new book yesterday, so trying to stay as distracted as possible.

Nosejug · 26/09/2024 16:18

We only have a sack and yolk, but no embryo growing. We're very sure about dates so sadly that's the end. I wish you all the very best with your pregnancies.

Sorry to hear this, did they offer you a rescan in a week?

Ah I’m so sorry! I experienced this at the start of the year so I know how heartbreaking it is. Look after yourself. ❤️

My body is raging with hormones, I'm so emotional and anxious. Is anyone else suffering with this?
