@MrsB2019x ahh so similar!! How are you feeling? I’ve felt a few ‘kicks’ I think but not many!

I don’t think I have felt any kicks tbh, only rolling. But that’s still so few and far between! I had a posterior placenta with DD and was reliably feeling movement by now ☹️

herewegoagain123456 · 30/09/2024 07:00

I don't really have a bump. Just bloat in the evening.
I've felt quite a lot of movement over the last week. 19 weeks yesterday. My partner can even feel it too.

Is mad how everyone and every pregnancy is soo different.

Anyone doing the gym? And got any tips how to squat the whole way through pregnancy? I'm not sure I'm going to be able to for much longer, the pressure in the front of my groin is quite bad this morning during them

KittyFantastica · 30/09/2024 09:34

Morning everyone.

Sadly, I'm here with upsetting news. I'll keep it brief as I know it will be shocking and possibly frightening for others.

I went into labour at 19+2 on Friday evening and gave birth to our beautiful, perfect little boy, George, on Saturday 28th September. The cause is currently being investigated. I don't think we will ever feel whole again, the pain is unimaginable.

Understandably, I'll be bowing out of the thread now. I wish you and all your babies the best of luck and love.

Lidlisthebusiness · 30/09/2024 09:43

@KittyFantastica my deepest condolences to you and your family. I am so very sorry for the loss of George, he'll forever be with you, and you with him, he knew how loved he is xx

@KittyFantastica, the most awful outcome for you and a pain no mother should bear. My heart breaks for you. Know that your baby knew nothing but love as your body held him. I hope you receive all the support you need as you navigate your journey of grief.

@KittyFantastica I am so so sorry to read about your sweet baby boy George. Sending you so much love.

UncharteredWaters · 30/09/2024 23:22

@KittyFantastica my sincerest condolences and love to you.
George will be loved and held dear by so many.
I have a wonderful friend who delivered her darling son at the same stage, she often says crying, time and love were the things that got her through.
We talk of her son often and he’s held in our hearts as will George with your family and friends.
Please reach out if you need any support x

@ridl14 gosh glad everything is ok. My previous 2 pregnancies were posterior so this is all new to me! Hopefully we will feel things soon. X

Thank you!! Yes such a relief. I've really started to feel movements now so way less anxious! I think mine is posterior? The one where the placenta is at the back. But you're right, every scan he's been suuper active even when I've had worrying pains before them.

@KittyFantastica Sending you and your family so much love, I am so sorry to read your news. Thinking of you all, and of George, and wishing you a gentle recovery xxxx

QuantumPanic · 03/10/2024 06:50

@KittyFantastica I am so sorry for your loss. Rest in peace, George - you are well loved.

TTCagain85 · 03/10/2024 09:08

@ridl14 glad you are feeling movement. It's such a worrying time still...my movements aren't regular or everyday and with my history of MC I constantly worry. The rationale part of me knows it is completely normal though and regular movements won't be felt for a couple of weeks. Will deffo be doing kicks counts in a few weeks time.

Lidlisthebusiness · 03/10/2024 15:13

I've just had 20w scan, and all is well which is a relief after all the scaremongering the diabetes team do. Baby is bang on the 50th percentile and very busy in there!
The sonographer said the average baby is now born at 8lb, which sounds huge to me 😬

retrievermum · 03/10/2024 17:27

@Lidlisthebusiness don’t worry, my daughter was 8lb 7 and she still seemed tiny! Admittedly she was an EMCS but I’ve heard big babies are easier to birth because of gravity!

jaybeez · 03/10/2024 19:36

We also had our 20 week scan today and found out we're having a girl! The sonographer was excellent too, and was really reassuring / provided lots of updates.

Lidlisthebusiness · 03/10/2024 22:21

@retrievermum my biggest up to now has been 7lb 4oz, and he did fly out in a 2 minute, 2 push laour. My smallest was just over 5lb, so compared to him 8lb seems like a toddler!

QuantumPanic · 04/10/2024 08:10

@Lidlisthebusiness 8lb does seem huge. I think I need to start developing my arm muscles.

I've been really uncomfortable this week. My ribs feel like they're being spread apart (which I guess they are) and it's making sleeping on my side painful. I hope it settles soon, because I'm not managing much sleep.
