@Hope1986 @Rycbar to both - I'm sorry for your loss. I hope you can take some time to heal and come to terms with your journey ending too soon.
I always imagined that early pregnancy would be a time filled with pure joy, but for many it's a time of anxiety and pain 💔

I hope the recovery is easy as it can be and sending lots of love 💕

EastLondonCoffeeFiend · 02/07/2024 18:24

@Hope1986 @Rycbar I’m so so sorry. Wishing you all the best xx

@Hope1986 @Rycbar I’m so very very sorry 💕sending you love and healing vibes. Be kind to yourselves and take whatever time you need. Much love x

QuantumPanic · 02/07/2024 19:09

@WildFinch Are you in a big city/small town/rural? I am semi-rural and with a community midwife (I will be seeing the same one throughout my pregnancy) but my nearest hospital is a thirty minute drive away, so it would be different people delivering any sort of hospital care/a different midwife at the birth. I would imagine if you are in a big city you may see someone different every time - my friend is in London and she had a different midwife for almost every appointment.

QuantumPanic · 02/07/2024 19:12

@Hope1986 @Rycbar I am so sorry for both your losses.

Has anyone heard anything about RHR and its correlation to pregnancy? As if I needed something else to feel anxious about, but something just popped up about someone being concerned about decreasing RHR in pregnancy. Supposedly your RHR is meant to increase in pregnancy. Checked my data in my health app from my Apple Watch and my RHR is the lowest it's been in the last year (and has been trending down for the last few weeks). Current RHR is 51 BPM.

Thanks for replying @QuantumPanic I had my booking appointment with the midwife at the hospital this morning. I live in a small town. Hospital I've chosen is 25 mins away but midwife explained the community midwives are based at a birthing centre in another town also about 20/25 mins away. I guess I could have registered there but didn't realise. Anyway, it was all fine and I'll get in touch with those midwives for my 16 week appointment.

WildFinch · 03/07/2024 12:29

So sorry to hear your news @T0r11210 take care of yourself xxx

KittyFantastica · 03/07/2024 15:57

So sorry to hear your sad news @T0r11210 @Rycbar and @Hope1986
I was where you are in both the September and October threads and it just never gets easier. Be kind to yourselves and seek your healing in any way you need. Sometimes it hits right away and sometimes it can take a while to sink in.

I hope it doesn't come across as insensitive, but I've been keeping very quiet as this is my third pregnancy and I've no living children. It's been hugely anxiety inducing and I've been afraid every day. Yesterday I had a reassurance scan from my EPU as they wanted me in next time I got pregnant in case I needed progesterone or anything and they were able to find, for the very first time, am embryo measuring on time and with a healthy heart beat. It probably sounds crazy, but while I'm thrilled I still find myself thinking about my last two little beans and what could have been. I'll always, always hold them dear no matter what comes next. I'm just so sorry anyone ever has to go through a loss.

UrbanSquirrel · 03/07/2024 17:00

@KittyFantastica How lovely to hear about your successful scan! That must have been absolutely wonderful. Thank you for sharing the news, and let's hope you go from strength to strength 🤗

@KittyFantastica thank you for your kind words, it’s definitely not easy!
Congratulations for your scan, that’s brilliant news. Did they check your hcg and progesterone too?

KittyFantastica · 04/07/2024 09:17

Thank you both @T0r11210 and @UrbanSquirrel

They didn't check my HCG or progesterone, it's not the done thing in my area of the NHS, I guess every trust is different. I'm gone six weeks now and as there was a heartbeat, I think a HCG test wouldn't provide much. I haven't had much spotting or bleeding, and I did have a blood test actually just a few days after I fell pregnant for something else and they did a progesterone test. It was looking okay then, so they said they're happy with it. She did say if I have any more spotting to call them and they'd prescribe some there and then though, so I feel well supported, which is such a relief.

Crossing my fingers for swift recoveries (physically) and good news in the future for you all ❤️

Thecomfortador · 04/07/2024 10:08

Just jumping on to say I've had a miscarriage, confirmed this morning, got to return to hospital tomorrow for further blood test to confirm HCG levels. Just wanted to wish everyone well, sorry to hear about others who have lost as well. This pregnancy lark is no fun is it. Take care everyone.
