@Sunshineclouds11 tum tum cups for a valve free straw cup- she mastered it pretty much straight away and guzzles her water now.

For open cup we use the diody - albeit used it a lot at first and haven't for a while as she uses the straw cup so well... probably should try the open cup more often 🤦🏼‍♀️

I use the doidy cup also after being recommended it on here. Little man prefers an open cup and drinks water a lot better that way.

Out & about I just take the TT free flow 1 but that's hit & miss.

He doesn't drink loads of water a day but he's drinking some which was more than he was so we're getting somewhere 🙂

I'll definitely buy the tum tum 1 to try now as sounds easier than most other straw 1s 🙂

Got the tum tum, abit hesitant at first but she's managing, sure she'll be a pro in the next few days.

My little boy has started having three meals a day now and the mess is very overwhelming for me but he's absolutely loving it, he seems way more content! He's showing interest in using a spoon, I can't wait til he figures it out.

Today his meals were

Breakfast - Sourdough toast with peanut butter, half a banana and about 15 blueberries

Lunch - Macaroni with homemade satay sauce, raspberries and steamed sweet potato

Dinner - A handful of chickpeas that I flattened one by one & cornflour porridge with cinnamon and the other half of the banana from breakfast mixed in.

Has anyone yet to get any teeth? We have 0!

It's amazing how different babies can be at the same age! Can't believe we're approaching the one year mark. What is everyone planning for the first birthdays? ☺️

I know! I was just thinking today that by the time Christmas and new year celebrations are over my little one will be almost 11 months old (on the 9th) and we'll only have a month before he's a big one year old! On his birthday we're having a naming ceremony aka a non-religious baptism, his guides (godparents) will make promises to him and we'll have a couple of readings of meaningful poems and such and then we're going to host a lunch at the venue and then cake and singing happy birthday of course! Then we'll do presents at home.

Little boy has had four teeth for a couple of months now, no sign of any others on the way.

@Hotpolarbear my boy only cut his second tooth this week, and he's already 10 months. His first came through a couple of weeks ago

@Hotpolarbear I think it's 18 months when they consider X ray, etc. to check there's actually teeth there. I wouldn't worry, my first didn't get her first until 11.5 months so we enjoyed 3 months of sleeping through until getting then, then got a bunch pretty fast! (And a lot less sleep...)

@msp2023 we have had issues with feeding aversion here, started with the boob then bottle and ofc food. We have only increased from food once to twice a day this past week as so stressful. Started giving something for breakfast with TV and seems to work and only 20 mins, which I'll take. He has a really bad gag reflex so always vomits during the lunch meal now I've decided he does need to progress from purees and just suck it up with some bits of soft meat, etc. 🫣 he has got better though as he doesn't panic as much and seems to be normalising the sensation of swallowing lumps, it's also a lot less projectile. He can self feed a bit of puree with a particular brand of spoons if I preload them, which works for a bit until he decides to start banging and flinging everything! Planning to see how this goes and then maybe ask the health visitor/GP for a SALT referral after he has his 9-12 month check. It's so demoralising though.

My baby is ten months old today and got his 5tht tooth too! Time is moving wayyyy too fast, a few weeks and the birthdays begin!

@Cheetocat mine has 5 now too.
I just by chance noticed the bottom side 1 had cut the other day, I've been focusing on the top 1s cos they're really clear in the gums; just need them to cut.

He really goes out of sorts when cutting his top 1s, off bottles x

Yeah, I thought he was teething on the top but I noticed one had cut on the bottom on the left side this morning, he's been out of sorts for a good week or more, I need to get a look on the other side and see if there's one coming through there too!

For those who are formula feeding - how many bottles / oz are your little ones having now?

He's having between 24-30oz 4 bottles in 24 hours.

Today he's currently had only 9 so far thanks to these damn teeth 🙈

DD has three 6oz bottles and an 8oz for bed.
And a 6oz through the night.

Midday bottles are reducing again.

Could you roughly explain what times your little ones are having a bottle / solid meals?

I'm only managing three bottles atm, around 20oz and keep wondering if I should be squeezing in a fourth 🧐
I was BF in the mornings but she's been refusing so I stopped and went straight to breakfast. Not sure if I should switch out for a small bottle instead hmmm but then I worry she won't eat much of her breakfast

I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed where food is concerned to be honest. My LO absolutely loves food and will eat anything and everything but every time I go online people are giving elaborate meals with 4 different components, 3 times a day. I just don't have enough hours in the day to do that.

3x 8oz bottles a day x

The NHS site says 400ml of milk a day is enough at ten months of they're having three meals a day! I've been worried about my little ones milk intake but that's reassuring.
