@msp2023 I'm so sorry, that sounds really hard. I hope they get back to you soon. Pregnancy and birth change our bodies so much and I feel like professionals don't take it seriously if we feel like there's something off.

My partner and I haven't even had a chance for intimacy yet, baby is very high needs and we're also exhausted so I doubt we'd even try if we had a chance. We also weren't intimate in pregnancy because I was on pelvic rest. The last time we dtd was the day baby was conceived. I'm a bit worried about the future.

CheeseAndCrackersx · 06/09/2024 22:11

@msp2023 id keep going back to the dr if possible to get an appointment and they might end up being able to get you seen quicker at gynae.

I'd defo go about your discovery today though even just for peace of mind.

Anyone else LO starting to seem like they're ready to drop the 3rd nap of the day?

I'm getting serious resistance the past few days and he just really fights it so he's having like a 4 hour wake window before bed as a result but I can't force a nap can I

@CheeseAndCrackersx some days we only end up having 2 naps with a long wake window at the end of the day. My LO isn't a great sleeper as it is but it does mean he goes down easier on those days

Ebonythoughts · 08/09/2024 20:57

@msp2023 I’m sorry to hear you’re experiencing discomfort. My sister had similar symptoms after giving birth to her second child and they said it was prolapse because her pelvis was weak. I hope you get some answers soon. Sending love x

Just a quick vent, I’m 6 weeks pregnant and it’s completely opposite this time around. My last pregnancy I had morning sickness early and was basically vegetarian for 9 months but besides that I was fine. This time I am exhausted, nauseous, constantly hungry and eating like a carnivore but more than anything else, everything my husband seems to do annoys the hell out of me. It’s like my patience is at a zero. Last night I had a go at him for how he was snoring and when he went to the guest room so I could have a good night sleep, I woke up this morning annoyed that he left our bed… completely irrational I know! Please tell me these mood swings don’t last 🙈

CheeseAndCrackersx · 08/09/2024 21:09

What were your moods like before falling pregnancy again @Ebonythoughts cos I know mine are still very much all over the place so just wondering if double the hormones type thing maybe

Postpartum my mood was fine, a few emotional days here and there with tears but not easily irritable. I’m definitely putting it down to hormone because not sure how to manage it right now 🙈

msp2023 · 08/09/2024 21:58

@Cheetocat @CheeseAndCrackersx thank you both! I have an appt next week so hopefully get things checked out properly.

@Ebonythoughts thank you for sharing 💗 do you mind me asking if her recovery was 100% and if she went on to have further vaginal deliveries? Hope she's well now 🥰

This sounds like me on a day when I'm particularly hungry or tired and I'm not pregnant 😂😂

Hopefully it passes soon and if not... maybe you'll get a little extra spoiled and attention as well deserved 🫣

@msp2023 she is still having treatment but made the decision not to have any more children. I don’t think this decision was solely to do with the prolapse but two very traumatic births. She says she’s definitely done now.

lol I feel so guilty, he keeps apologising and we make up and then a few mins later something he does really irritates me. Even his aftershave makes me feel sick so he’s stopped wearing it. I’m worried I’m going to make him miserable if I don’t get it under control. He knows it’s hormones but still it not nice 🙈

LavenderSweetPea · 09/09/2024 08:02

@Ebonythoughts I just wonder given what you said about eating like a carnivore, perhaps some of the changes you've had this pregnancy are down to nutrition? It takes the body 1-2 years between pregnancies to fully rebuilt its stores of nutrients so you're likely not as well nourished as you were for your first pregnancy and it's probably playing a role. Pregnancy really does suck every ounce of goodness you have in your, even when you're feeling well - those little bones and organs all came from you after all! Also perhaps not in your case but definitely in mine I've not been eating as well as I did prior to my little one being born, there's just not the time there was so I'm eating a lot of junk!

If you're wanting a lot of meat you might well be anemic, perhaps taking extra iron supplements and getting a test. And anything nourishing you can get like chicken bone broth perhaps. I know they recommend organ meat to nourish been pregnancies but I'm not sure if that's allowed when you're already pregnant.

You're mood will likely resettle after the first trimester, so hang on in there you're doing great, having a baby to care for while being pregnant is HARD so be kind to yourself when you aren't finding it as easy as the first time.

Ebonythoughts · 09/09/2024 09:07

@LavenderSweetPea thank you hun, I was anaemic and had an iron infusion in June so I don’t think it’s that, but maybe my body is lacking in something else. Thank you for the advice xx

CheeseAndCrackersx · 09/09/2024 14:19

@Thewildthingsarewithme I'm just wondering now your LO is having solids do you still give the probiotic drops in the milk or in the food? 🙂

Cheetocat · 10/09/2024 10:34

Finally bought a padded mat for our little daredevil, he hates sitting down or lying down, he's constantly on the move, crawling and standing and then he falls over, breaks my heart.

Thewildthingsarewithme · 10/09/2024 13:12

@CheeseAndCrackersx I’m still giving it to my LO, I put it on the boob before his feed but might start putting it on his first spoon of food at breakfast, think either is fine. Huge congratulations on your news @Ebonythoughts how wonderful for your little girl

CheeseAndCrackersx · 11/09/2024 19:29

We finally have a tooth 😀

OP posts:
CharXo · 11/09/2024 19:56

Still no teeth here! Although super fast at crawling now and literally cannot turn my back for 10 seconds!

Cheetocat · 11/09/2024 21:22

We have one big tooth and a tiny little dot of one next to it. 😂

We're really ill today, me and baby. 😭 Congestion, headache, body aches, the works. It's so sad to see him whining and sleeping so much. Skip the birthday parties with friends/family if you can, tried my best not to let him be passed around on Sunday but proud daddy loves it and does it a bit more than I'd like.

CheeseAndCrackersx · 11/09/2024 21:40

I said to partner the other day actually anyone even has the slightest sniffle they stay away this autumn/winter

OP posts:
Ebonythoughts · 12/09/2024 04:02

@CheeseAndCrackersx that’s lovely! We have two at the bottom and it’s very cute.

We’re doing the same in limiting visits during Autumn. For baby but also because of the pregnancy I’m try to say as on top of things as I can and can’t afford to get ill if I can help it x

CheeseAndCrackersx · 12/09/2024 06:24

Silly question probably but in regards to brushing teeth do you start the min it's cut through the gum like little man's has or when it's fully grown?

OP posts:
LavenderSweetPea · 12/09/2024 18:17

@CheeseAndCrackersx as soon as it's through the gum you should start as the sugar in the milk can reach the tooth. We've not got any teeth yet but I'm thinking of putting tooth brushing into our bed time routine after bath time.

Ideally bottle fed babies should have their teeth brushed before the last bottle of the day (apparently less important for breastfed babies when you brush)

CheeseAndCrackersx · 12/09/2024 19:10

Ah thank you @LavenderSweetPea

I'll do the same adding it to bath time routine too 😀
I did buy some teeth wipe things from Morrisons which I'll use whilst it's still growing
