@Lillers I was just wondering the same thing myself. I'm 24 weeks on Sunday and just did a comparison from 2 weeks ago.... guess the rapid inflation explains the pains I have been having. Not sure how there is 16 more weeks of growth left in there ๐Ÿ˜ฌ it slightly terrifies me!

@Lillers lovely bump - looks quite high. I feel huge for 25 weeks and have been every pregnancy. Think as I'm. 4ft 11 it's hard not to be big.

@Xur dh bought me a maternity cost which actually changes in to a baby wearing coat so should see me through the winter for the school runs as I think that's my most likely time to baby wear outside.

Xx

Bubblegum20 · 31/05/2024 21:55

I'm 24w4d now, seeing that you've already started buying things is making me think maybe I should start ๐Ÿ˜‚ this is baby no.3 for us. We've got a 2yr old and a 1yr old already, so we've still got a few bits in the loft which I need to see if they're still in good condition or not. I haven't bought one thing for our little one yet though not even a pack of nappies or anything so I need to start getting some bits and pieces soon.

Decaffe · 31/05/2024 22:23

To fellow anterior placentas: ๐Ÿ˜

Iโ€™m 24w1d today; Iโ€™ve been feeling movement since 22 weeks and at this point if I have a very lazy day I can feel him approx every 2 hours, very low down indeed.

My question is, at what point will DH be able to feel him, and when might we even see him?! And when will the kicks get higher up?

RosiePH · 31/05/2024 22:58

@Decaffe i am 22+5 and DH felt baby kick 3 days ago. My anterior placenta is right at the top though, so Iโ€™ve been able to feel movements for a while now. They are definitely getting stronger though! Still mainly quite low down but Iโ€™ve felt some above my belly button in the last few days.

MudandMoet · 31/05/2024 23:06

@Xur it's nice to be getting things together isn't it. I think they're all much a much but my decision was basically down to the colours and not what might be best for baby - ooopsie ๐Ÿคญ

I wasn't going to bother with a baby carrier but I've been watching people and they do seem ultra handy. Also for me being on the farm and walking the dog twice daily I think one will come in handy rather than constantly getting the pram out so I plumped for the baby bjorn one air carrier and will give it a go. One lady I was spying on had a lovely black long baby coat thing on. I need to research these for the autumn months.

@Decaffe anterior here... any time now you should feel baby move to slightly and start to see your tummy thumping, I was around 24 weeks when DH could feel her kicking his back in bed when I spoon him. The minute I get in bed she absolutely starts kicking like crazy but it's also through the day intermittently now.

@Happylittlebump I'm on 150mg of aspirin a day due to being over 40. Have been since 12 weeks xx

MudandMoet · 31/05/2024 23:09

*Move up - damn autocorrect, it's Friday, it's late! All excuses accepted!! Night ladies xx ๐Ÿฅฑ๐Ÿ˜ด๐Ÿ’š

cd24x · 01/06/2024 08:54

@MudandMoet last pregnancy I got a maternity parka coat (from Asda actually!) as I was in latter stages during the cooler months. It doubles as a baby wearing coat as it just has an additional panel that zips in at the front. So I'll be wearing that this winter for the walks to nursery with DS - far easier to carry baby than try and get DS to cooperate with pram!

I didn't baby wear much with DS as didn't really need to. But thinking this time round will be easier with 2. Does anyone have any experience with baby wearing after C section?

Also, I feel like I've won the lottery today. DH has gone to park run, and I'm taking DS to his swimming lesson. DH has offered to come and take DS off my hands afterwards for a few hours so I can go shopping in town and have some chill time! What do I need to buy?! ๐Ÿคฃ

WinsandSam · 01/06/2024 09:02

@Happylittlebump yes, I was put on aspirin at 12 weeks and will stay on until 36 weeks I think. I'm 40 and have thyroid issues so believe that's why.

@Lillers I feel you, my bump has popped in last 2 weeks. Nights I'm feeling huge and uncomfortable. Stretching pains/ligament pains are back too so must be a growth spurt.

I'm off for a prenatal massage today. A surprised from a friend! Not sure what to expect but feels well needed. Sciatica appears to be returning after a few months away

HRP1990 · 01/06/2024 12:00

Iโ€™m 25 weeks and also very bumpy too, but second time around so putting it down to that ๐Ÿ™ˆ Iโ€™ve been told my random people on the beach Iโ€™m โ€œall bumpโ€ so thatโ€™s made me feel better lol

Another that's bumping recently. 25 weeks 2nd child. It hides well under clothes though. People keep telling me it's small and then I look in the mirror and I think they are blind ๐Ÿคฃ

@cd24x I'll keep my eyes out, my asda doesn't do a maternity section but I bet I can order online when they have them in because that sounds similar to what I saw and liked. Did you buy anything nice in the end?

Ritagoestohollywood · 01/06/2024 16:18

@HRP1990 lol you are all bump and what a lovely bump

I am third time round and feeling huge, so no scenic pic from me I could get one on the beach I live across the road from the prom but I cba waddling over lol

PoppingUp · 01/06/2024 16:32

I had my first random person out and about ask me when I was due today so must also be proper bumping now ๐Ÿ˜…

cd24x · 01/06/2024 16:56

@MudandMoet I find barely anywhere does maternitywear in store now. Looking around today there was maybe 2 rails in h&m, same in primark. Couldn't find maternitywear anywhere else. So online is definitely your best bet!

I treated myself to a hanging peg dryer (you know the plastic thing that has like 24 pegs that you can put socks on) as figured that would be good for small baby things without taking up too much space. Rock n roll! I also treated baby to 2 sleepsuits from Jojo Maman Bebe. This baby will be wearing a lot of hand me downs from DS so thought it would be nice to get them a couple of nicer things that are brand new. Struggled as nowhere seems to have neutral stuff in! Although if this baby is a girl, I'm heading straight back there for the super adorable sleepsuits with little strawberries and lemons on them ๐Ÿ˜

I had a little wobble in John Lewis looking at all the feeding stuff and then things like pram suits etc. Felt really overwhelmed as have no clue what to dress baby in going into winter and barely remember what practical stuff i need. Its not even like I did this years ago, DS is only 3! So whilst DH watches the football later I'm going to start making lists ๐Ÿ˜

RosiePH · 01/06/2024 16:58

I am so happy my bump finally looks like a bump and not just too much cake ๐Ÿ˜‚ went to the hairdressers yesterday and the assistant offered me a drink, clocked the bump and offered a decaf. Then someone asked me whether I was expecting my first or second later in the day!

We went out for dinner and the car park was super tight. I couldnโ€™t get the bump out the car! My husband had to let me out and drive off round the corner to find some on-street parking.

Lillers · 01/06/2024 18:55

On the train home from the conference and I am SO uncomfortable and trying really hard not to be sick. I feel like Iโ€™ve got an enormous gas bubble sitting on top of my stomach - the kind that you could get moving with a great big burp, but unfortunately Iโ€™m one of those unlucky people who doesnโ€™t have the burp reflex (itโ€™s always been annoying, but never more so than in pregnancy!). I keep shifting around in my seat, getting up to stretch, sucking on mints, and trying to find some kind of comfortable position but I genuinely feel like Iโ€™m in hell.

Also Iโ€™ve been sitting down a lot of the last couple of days because of the stupid conference and my right thigh almost feels like it has a giant bruise on it - should I be concerned about clotting?? It only feels better when I walk around and rub it.

longingtobe23 · 01/06/2024 19:56

I havenโ€™t even got the code yet which is strange! @RosiePH
but I will contact customer services if it doesnโ€™t appear soon :)
I think it must last a while - as they say up to 10 friends etc so surely a year or more (who knows 10 pregnant people haha)

Lillers · 01/06/2024 19:57

Ok Iโ€™m being dramatic, a google suggests that I probably donโ€™t have a blood clot in my leg.

I am so uncomfortable though. Every so often I get a bit teary because everything hurts so much. I just sent a text to my husband begging him to meet me from the station even though I only live a 10 minute walk from it because I literally cannot do any more of this journey.

longingtobe23 · 01/06/2024 19:58

@HRP1990 love the outfit! X

Cinai · 01/06/2024 20:15

@Lillers Sorry to hear that youโ€™re feeling a bit rubbish! I hope you get home soon and can rest! (As a fellow blood clotting worrier, apparently there would usually be some swelling, red colour and constant pain, or so my GP told meโ€ฆ I have occasional pain in my legs and light signs of varicose veins (which are much more common in pregnancy than blood clots) and went to the GP but they werenโ€™t concerned about a blood clot.

I don't know if you guys have discussed this already but......baby carriers!

The world of baby carriers. Anyone got one? What's your fave? Did you use one with previous kids?

I'm seeing the ergobaby 360 omni pop up alot

Ideally I want one from newborn so I can pop her in it for the school run etc

i have an ergo baby, the same one from my first baby in 2020 so thisโ€™ll be its 3rd rotation ๐Ÿ˜‚ theyโ€™re great, but Iโ€™d recommend something โ€œsofterโ€ for the first few months. I used a koala cuddle band until my second was about 4/5 months then moved onto the ergo. You basically put it on like a T-shirt and they just cuddle up in it, the fabric and structure is much less โ€œstiffโ€ that an ergo style one. Itโ€™s just personal preference though!

HRP1990 · 01/06/2024 20:37

Thanks @longingtobe23 itโ€™s all Seraphine!

So weโ€™ve just had sex this evening and I know thereโ€™s no TMI here - I was on top, and afterwards Iโ€™ve just noticed some red bleeding (no clots or anything). I was on top so assuming Iโ€™ve just irritated the cervix? Iโ€™ve just opened a can of coke at 10.30pm to see if I can get some movement to reassure myself.

Honeyandsunshine1 · 01/06/2024 21:10

You definitely could have just irritated your cervix @HRP1990. When I go on top, I end up bleeding a bit because it seems to, this might sound odd ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ to like, cut open a little bit? So the bleeding is external. Is yours definitely from internally??

See how the coke goes โค๏ธโค๏ธ
